~ Guild of Renta-Experts ~
Story & Setting:
Once, there was a God-type being, who loved to create and make things. They made a fantastic world, filled with wonders and magic, populated by all manner of beings from the very tiniest to behemothically humongous. All was well and good, and the God-type being was pleased... Until they weren't. You see, when you create a finite area, you eventually run out of space to put new stuff in. Also, sometimes, things don't turn out the way you want or intend them too, and you're stuck with something you didn't expect - or want. Such was the case with almighty, all-creative God-type being, and this infuriated them. To alleviate this issue, they created a being that they would later name Demon Overlord, a creature of immense power and strength, given a single directive: To wipe out anything and everything it came across. You could think of it as the God-type being's eraser or bleach or something similar. Needless to say, the Demon Overlord wrecked havoc on the world and made sure to end many things, both flora, fauna and just plain geographic locations. When sufficient space had been cleared and room made for new designs and plans, the God-type being blessed a chosen favorite of their current creations to stop the Demon Overlord. And stop it they did! Which was great! Now everyone and everything - that was still alive, at least - were saved! However, the God-type being soon realized that if they just went ahead and started plopping down new things and creations once again, they'd soon run into the same issue of using up all available space. Thus, they devised a clever idea. Once the Demon Overlord was vanquished, the chosen hero would claum the crystalized heart of the malevolent destroyer... Only to be trapped in a crysalis-prison, where-whithin they would, over the next couple of centuries, slowly metamorph into the Demon Overlord themselves! Once this transformation completed, the evil exterminator would break free and ravage the world once again! ... Naturally, the God-type being left this detail out to any chosen Hero, and those who survived the battle between the chosen and the destroyer would simply assume that the titanic clash claimed the lives of both parties. A valiant sacrifice made for the good of all things, indeed! ... Well, that is until the God-type being created a particular species in their world, which they named dragons. Dragons were smart and clever, as well as powerful and strong... And they saw through the lazy, good-for-nothing God-type's design, and wanted no part of a repeating, endless cycle. As such, they themselves banded together when the Demon Overlord awoke, and not only managed to destroy it, but also destroyed the crystalline trap that was meant to be the catalyst for the next Demon Overlord. Outraged, the God-type being desperately attempted to create a new Demon Overlord, like they had done the first time, but this second original work was made in haste and was, as such, full of flaws and unintended properties that, ironically, led to the God-type being becoming sealed out of their own creation, rendered unable to interact or otherwise influence the fantastic little world they had so long used as their canvas and toy-box. Freed from the repetitive cycle of near-total extinction and miraculous repopulation, the fantastic world was now liberated and allowed to continue and progress on a path of its own choosing! ... Which unfortunately meant a lot of different critters deciding that certain things and places rightfully belonged to them, and that anyone who disagreed needed to be properly pounded into the ground... To mitigate some of these hostilities and disagreements, the wise dragons came up with a brilliant idea. They would use their vast powers of magic and ... dragon... stuff... To cast a massive spell! This spell would, in theory, cause all of the world's various beings to more or less transform into a similar-ish humanoid form, allowing everyone to look - at least somewhat - more alike, and thus decrease prejudice! ... Well, the spell worked, sort of... It at least worked on all the female denizens of the world... The guys on the other hand, not so lucky... But why did this happen? The sagacious and powerful dragons declared..! ... Nothing. They kinda went into hiding and haven't been seen since this happened... It's understandable, of course, a lot of people had a lot of choice words they wanted to exchange with the overgrown lizards after the stunt they pulled...

It's now a buncha centuries after all of the above's transpired. Stuff's been forgotten and turned into legend, myth or been completely lost to the wheel of time. People, creatures, nations and civilizations have risen and fallen, spread and dwindled, all in accordance with the new order of a free, unshackled future where things can go in any which way. During this time, a select few races and places have managed to cement themselves as permanent constants in the world, and have through sheer tenacity, guile and/or force, managed to remain as a cornerstone and notable piece of the world. These would be the four great nations, each belonging to a different dominant race. The first being the human kingdom of Aulder, a feudal lan of knights and chivalry and ... knights! The second place being the dwarven nation of Gromril, a place where mighty warriors, unpeered blacksmiths and insatiable drunks make their home! Third is the towering land of the giants, Molkar, where the lumbering, gargantuan and somewhat slow-witted titans of tremendously tall statures make their home. Finally, there's the night-loving nation of the vampires, Noxiria, where houses and clans of self-styled aristocratic hemophiles that cannot stand sunlight make their home. Inbetween these four greater powers of the world, there are many smaller and lesser factions who rise, grow, fall and ultimately vanish. Sometimes the four major players take note of such lesser groups, and either choose to help or hinder, depending on what's most beneficial to them. Withe their superior numbers and strength, assets and riches, its safe to say that the realms of Aulder, Gromril, Molkar and Noxiria are the ones who govern and shape the future of the world at this point. A lot like a certain someone did oh-so-long-ago... And wouldn't you know it? That fact doesn't sit quite right with a certain individual. Someone who made sure that the world they themselves, and everyone else, was a part of, would be free from oppressive and predetermined avenues for the future. Thus, this individual took action, and set to work to put a plan into motion; Rather then allow these four powerhouses to monopolize who got to grow and expand, they intended to give everyone a chance, and create a means with which to allow that to happen. To that end, they created an organization that they named the Guild of Renta-Experts, or just G.O.R.E for short. But what was the purpose of this unfortunately named group? To lend aid and help resolve issues for the various lesser powers, factions and groups of the world. Be that safeguarding a caravan of merchants who travelled bandit-laiden roads, sneaking into a long-forgotten ruin and wresting antique treasures from the skittering legs of giant spiders, or just hunting down bums who were late with their payment to loansharks and/or legitimate banks. These all-purpose, general-task oriented and thrill-seeking go-getters were recruited under the flag of G.O.R.E and sent all across the world, to set up their various camps and/or halls and take on the many, many requests of the masses! ... As long as they were girls. The G.O.R.E members that is. Yup. No dudes allowed. Apparently the founder had a very strict sense of aesthetics...

Hey-ho, hey-ho, it's off adventurin' we go! ... As monster girls. Yup. That's the whole deal. You play as a cute, sexy or otherwise female monster-type person, who for one reason or another, decided to join the ranks of G.O.R.E and become a Renta-Expert (aka, Hireling, Adventurer, Mercenary, Goon-for-Hire, Sellsword and/or Paid Thug). In your journeys, you will be partnered with other monster girls, and together you will go on many - or few - adventures together! These can range from your traditional dungeon-crawls, to exploring and searching for lost artefacts, to slaying bothersome and undesirables, or cooking food for the elderly. No quest is too small, no task too big! The members of G.O.R.E will accept all pleas, and do their bestest to see them fulfilled! But y'know, those rumors about them walking skeletons and risen, half-decomposed corpses that shamble around in dark places and are said to be gathering at various places along the world are kinda disturbing... Might wanna look into that at some point, just to make sure nothing dangerous is going on. If we got the time, that is. So, prepare yourself for a story, where none of the protagonists are human (or a dude), that will take you for a wild ride, on the wild side!
