Molkar Alliance: Info
General Info:
Name: Molkar Type: Loose Alliance Region: East South-east parts of the main continent Description: Calling Molkar a nation is a bit of a stretch. Rather, it's a loosely organized alliance between a number of different giant tribes. In particular, they've agreed not to violate each others' territories, hunting grounds and not steal or fight amongst themselves. Which is a good thing for everyone, because when giants fight each other, it tends to cause a disastrous amount of collateral damage to everything in the surrounding area. The country and landscape itself though, consists mostly of rocky or dry steppes, with hills and crags scattered all about. Ironically, a lot of bigger animals, like oxen and buffalo and other such animals seem to like making their home here. Which is good for the giants, since they need big animals to feed their bellies. Molkar is also home to a lot of toehr, bigger humanoids. Such as ogres, trolls, cyclopses and the like. Smaller races also make their home here, but tend to live nomadic lifestyles, as the bigger species tend to view anything smaller than themselves as food... The giant tribes of Molkar have no capitol or named cities, prefering to live in simple villages of makeshift design with no real, permanent or important structures about. Due to their rather slow and limited intelligence, this is to be expected though. There are a lot of variety of giant-types though, and they each live in parts of Molkar that best suit their distinct needs and/or preferences. Molkar has the most densely populated number of giants of any region in the world, as well as the largest selection of them as well. As giants are typically primitive and solely rely on feats of strength to determine their leaders, the biggest and meanest of the giants take position as tribe leaders, until they grow old and are beaten up and replaced by a younger, fitter and healthier giant. Giant camps are typically filthy and unorganized, wtih piles of trash and leftovers from their meals scattered all around. Each tribe and clan has their own, unique mark or symbol, which they typically fly on top of their tents or a makeshift flagpole to mark their claim. However, when the giants do come together, they have a unified flag - a fully brown banner, with a black scrawling of a bearded face on it. Yup. That's their flag. As you can imagine, it takes a very strong giant to unify all the tribes and make them come together under one roof, but when it happens it's usually very bad for everyone else. Some tribes that live closer to their neighbouring nations can actually be traded or interacted with on a, at least somewhat, friendly level. But the futher into the realm you go, the more likely you are to be mistaken for a wandering snack. Backstory: Molkar, as a whole, has no real backstory, as it isn't technically a unified nation. Rather, it's what the giants call the region of the world, and their neighbours just adopted the name to refer to the area with all the big dudes walking around. It's said that there's a mighty citadel belonging to the cyclopses somewhere underneath Molkar though, but such a place has yet to be found by any explorers, so it's probably just a fanciful rumor~ Important Notes:
Poeple of Molkar: - Nobody here!
