[*]Voice Manipulation: Jay is freely capable of manipulating her voice, allowing her to imitate others as well as the sounds of creatures such as animal noises and explosions or increase or decrease the tone of their voice.
[*]Siren Song: Jay is capable of emitting astonishingly beautiful and enchanting sounds that are capable of luring others into doing what she wants. By changing the pitch/frequency slightly she can also induce vertigo or unconsciousness. Its effect is stronger on those of the opposite sex.

Born in the Bronx of the Big Apple itself, Jacqueline Lianne Stainton was the fifth and last of her parents' children. With four significantly older siblings, she was often left to her own devices. Her parents didn't really work to help her feel included either so she was forced to find ways of keeping herself entertained. Through trial and error of several different hobbies, she eventually found her solace in the wonder of books and the creative arts. 

Despite what most would consider a sheltered and lonely childhood, Jay was a social chameleon for most of her schooling. Hopping from group to group, never really finding that tight-knit group of friends that would stay by her through thick and thin. Instead, she blended in, tried to keep to herself without seeming alone or lonely. It wasn't until her junior year of high school did she really come into herself. Finally expressing herself as she wanted without the fear of what others think looming over her head. This was also the year that she really found her passion for music and performing and set her sights on ESU.

The first year of college was nothing like she imagined, between cramming and trying her hardest not to sleep through Statistics, Jacqueline wasn't sure she was cut out for "higher learning". But her Stainton pride all but forced her to see it through and she eventually managed to get into the swing of things. With her second year postponed due to the Pandemic, She decided to get a job delivering meals as a way to pass the time. It was only luck, good or bad, that she had been out to pick up an order when the Terri-storm struck. Cocooned for what felt like an eternity but in reality, was only a few hours, upon being released from the gene-altering prison she noticed a few others emerging or remaining trapped. 

Unsure of what had happened, she decided to head home, though in her confusion failed to pay attention to the street and was almost hit by a car. Panicking she released her first Sonic Scream, the concussive force smashing the windshield and exposing the driver to the last dregs of the Terri-storm. Unwilling to see the damage she caused, Jay escaped the area and has remained holed-up with her family learning to control her vocal influence and trying not to scream things into oblivion.
