Villain(/Hero)

Code Name: Amund Real Name: Lance Quirinus Gunnar Nicknames/Aliases: Lane, Laney or Kacey Gender Identity: Female Age: 20 Physical Description: Lance originally had platinum blond hair, but over the years she has bleached it, dying it a bright, pure white which contrasts well with her dark brown eyes and lightly tanned skin. Her shoulders are somewhat narrow and she has a very feminine figure, her form toned and lithe with muscles which doesn’t retract from her slim figure, her height being that of a health 5'7". Her lips are full, often coated in her favourite dark red lipstick which further contrasts her snowy white locks, her facial features enhanced slightly by simple accents of makeup. When it comes to her defining features, her white hair causes her to stand out, however she also has a septum piercing and a black line tattoo of a rose on the top of her left shoulder. Her civilian clothes generally compliment her curves, ranging from shorts to skinny jeans and crop tops to tank tops. No matter what she wears, her clothes are often dark in colour, generally containing black and white, though often hints of red and darker burgundy colours make their way into her wardrobe. Her cape costume consists of black ripped skinny jeans, a black long sleeve shirt, grey pullover hoodie, black leather jacket, black leather and a pair of maroon converse. She wears her hood up, doing her best to hide her distinctive white hair while shielding her identity with a maroon bandana which wraps around the lower half of her face. Hanging from her hips is a thick belt which holds a variety of pouches which contains her four darts, the shrapnel, her brass knuckles and four of six of her throwing knives, the other two strapped to her legs over her jeans with her tomahawk strapped onto the back of her belt.

Personality: Since she was a child, Lance has always had a cynical view of the world, though she would prefer to call it ‘reasonable’. She always knew what was expected of her, and always knew that it wasn’t what she wanted in life. Due to her parents often being away with work, she had a lot of free time, and spent most of that out on the streets looking for mischief and mayhem. It’s not like her parents would care either way. It was due to this exposure that she developed a dark sense of humour and a rebellious attitude which always made her push back against any authorities that would try to push her back on the ‘right’ path. While she has a dark outlook on life, Lance still has a set of beliefs that she sticks with. A slightly adjusted moral compass if you will. A compass which consists of ‘those that hurt others should die’. In her own mind she may be a hero, outwardly she is viewed and reported on as a villain by the media. It was a cruel irony, but cruel is what the world does best isn’t it? Accompanying her ‘rebellious’ attitude, came a teasing and flirtatious nature. She’s sarcastic, quick to snap back at those she doesn’t like or comments she doesn’t agree with, just as quick to turn a serious topic into a joke too. Her teasing attitude means that she will often flirt with anyone to try and get a reaction from them. No matter the gender, it’s all a game in her eyes, even as she is only truly attracted to females, she isn’t past flirting with males too. Trigger Type: Natural Trigger PRT Power Classification: Shaker 6, Blaster 4 and Mover 1 Power Perk(s): Lances power can be broken down into two fundamental parts; Sensing, and manipulating metal. Her ability to sense metal enables her to focus on certain sources or locations to manipulate, though her ability to sense or ‘see’ these metals extends further than her ability to manipulate those sources. She can sense metal up to a 100ft radius from her, but can manipulate those detected metals in a 50ft radius. In both cases, the closer the metal is, the more information she can glean from it and the more she can actively do with it. At the fringes of her range she may only be able to tell if there’s metal there, and bend it slightly. When in her hand or right in front of her she has the ability to manipulate it in greater detail (such as making a coin into an elaborate ring) and can sense what kind of metal or metals the object is made up of. Her manipulation of metals grants it a full range of mobility, able to send it flying through the air with ease, though the closer it is the more refined the motion gets. This ability also enables her to partially fly or hover with the assistance of a metal board which she carries with her most nights. The board is similar to a skateboard in shape and size, however it has a lack of wheels. When stood upon it she can manipulate the movement of the metal beneath her feet, allowing her to hover. This aspect of her power is minimal as it only grants the hovering capability, and isn’t necessarily fast which is why it gave her the mover 1 classification. If she tries to manipulate something close, but beneath the ground or within a wall, it takes a great deal more concentration and takes a few moments between her focusing on it and the action actually occurring. This also applies to metals which are far away, as it too takes a great deal more concentration and time to get the same or a similar result to something far closer. Power Drawback(s): While she can draw up walls of metal to protect herself, she is still a human and will still get hurt relatively easily. She also cannot change the properties of metal, and must use what she has on hand. For example, if she has the opportunity to create a shield in front of her, it will be made of what metals are closest. If it was steel, then she’d have a more durable shield and a better chance of surviving. However, if aluminium was closer, the attack would likely punch through the barrier like paper. She may be able to make the metals thicker by layering it, but she cannot make metals like aluminium stronger. When trying to adjust a metal to a greater, more detailed extent, It takes up much more of her concentration which would result in her becoming distracted, unable to fully focus on the task at hand. Extensive use of her power may resort in migraines or blacking out, especially if the metal she’s trying to access is at the edge of her range, buried underground or stuck behind a thick wall. History: Lance’s family life couldn’t exactly be typical, especially as a young child. Her parents were away often either visiting other countries or out on work trips, so the young child was left alone often. While her family was by no means rich, she had it pretty well off. Despite this, she had no delusions about the world and spent many nights on the streets, looking at what kind of mischief she could get up to with some of the younger kids. Be it football or harassing cops, the children always found something to do, and got in trouble frequently. The band of children stuck together through their childhood, and up into their teenage years. Some left, others were arrested, but many remained. Over the years their crimes and antics slowly escalated, and Lance spent less and less of her time at her home, instead crashing on her friends couches or within the warehouse the group had claimed for their own. Misdemeanours escalated into criminal violence. Muggings, petty theft and robbery. From the outside it seemed the kids were destined for jail, but within the group, Lance could only think of them as modern day Robbin Hoods. They only robbed the robbers after all, so was there any fault in that? At the age of 18 the crimes escalated to manslaughter and murder. Vandalism and destruction of property was far in the groups past. The group was slowly vanishing, one by one. Be it through death or being arrested, the numbers of their little gang vanished slowly, till there was only three left behind. Liam, her best friend who was often mistaken as her brother, and Elaina, a girl Lance had strung along since their younger years. Their relationship was complex, but Liam often fondly jested that they were in fact dating, though Lance knew that wasn’t exactly far from the truth. Lance and Elaina’s relationship made things a bit more complicated. Despite being part of the gangs mischief, Elaina always stayed on the outer lines of the criminal offences, more there to ensure Lance was safe than to actually cause any chaos. Due to this. When they rose to the rank of ‘dating’, Elaina’s worry increased. Lance had never truly understood what it meant for another to care for her. After all, she never had a relationship with her parents, and Liam was her only true friend and he encouraged their activities. When Elaina told Lance to stop, it came as quite a shock to the girl. They fought often over the topic as Elaina eventually stopped meeting with Liam and Lance all together, only seeing Lance when she arrived to crash on her couch later in the evening. One night, after a particularly vocal fight, Elaina fled the home the two had shared for so long, running into the dark night. Lance gave chase, and eventually caught up to the other girl, though she seemed to be a few minutes two late. When she finally came across Elaina, it was to the sight of her being held at gone point. A mugging. Lance had been behind the trigger so many times, that she had almost forgot what it was like to be on the other end of that metal barrel. The two clung together, watching as the group of three men advanced. Lance, despite her best efforts, couldn’t resist the use of her sharp tongue. All she could recall was a muzzle flash and a scream, though it didn’t sound like that of a woman. It was guttural and raw, agony etched into that tone. Before them stood two men. Then one. Then none. The bullets had been returned to varying damaging effects. The two girls decisively decided not to speak of that night again. The night that Lance triggered. Elaina knew exactly what Lance would do with her powers, and left soon after, locking Lance out of the home they had shared for so long. Elaina wanted a hero, not a villain, but that seemed to be beyond what Lance could do. While she still tried her hand at being ‘heroic’, the trail of bodies she left behind her resulted in her title twisting to that of villain, curtesy of the media. Lance couldn’t understand it. She was ridding the world of what she viewed as scum, and yet she was being prosecuted for it? While she didn’t understand, she still didn’t stop. Deep down she hopes Elaina would understand her intentions, but that chance was slim. At least she still had Liam, the boy being the only one who truly knew of her intentions and her cape identity.
