MarshClan

Characteristics
Strengths| These cats thrive on stealth and Lightning fast reflexes. They use their surroundings to their advantage, staying camouflaged among the rocks, moss, and foliage. They are masters of ambush attacks, staying hidden until the last moment, before delivering a series of quick blows to an opponent and vanishing back among the marsh. They are highly skilled in swimming, though they know better than to linger long in any water in there territory. Weaknesses|Being The physically weakest, relatively speaking, of the clans, if they are caught in a confrontation, they are easily outpowered. Their own beloved Marsh is a danger to even them, so they must be careful and alert as they traverse the Territory. Enclosed spaces feel rather suffocating to them, used to the spread out growth of trees and open skies of the marsh.
Camp and Territory
The territory consist almost entirely of Marshland that has been created from bleed out from the river combined with underground springs.. A small portion is forested, near the border with SunClan, with willows and birches The dominating trees, though the occasional maple or oak can be found. While they do share part of a border with SunClan, near a section of the river where it bends sharply into a u-shape, the majority of MarshClan Territory lies on the opposite side of the river. Sparse tree growth occurs, but there are plenty of marsh grasses and sedges. A few drier islands can be found scattered about along with stretches of uneven strips of land. The eastern section of the territory is the driest, with the most trees and the fewest patches of water and sinkholes, while the farther west you travel, the ground becomes less stable, with larger stretches of water. Camp| On an almost island bit of land on the drier section of the territory lies the camp of MarshClan. This is one of the only areas where bushes grow, so they are readily utilized as barriers and shelter. A willow and a birch have managed to find stable ground to grow here as well. The birch tree stands to one side of the area, it’s branches extending over a large portion of the camp. The leader makes their den beneath the roots where a hollow has formed and been shaped. In times of heavy rain though, this Space has been known to flood and the leader can then den with either the Warriors or elders as they choose. A rather large laurel bush serves as the Warriors den. Woven and strengthened with brambles, not much in the Way of weather gets through to the occupants inside. Grass and sedge have been gathered into nests, padded with feathers and Moss as needed or desired. The medicine den is The space beneath the willow tree, the trailing leaves forming a natural barrier through new leaf until leaf fall. A large rock that has been split serves as the sleeping place for the medicine cat at the roots of the Willow, while a ledge covering a small hollow to one side of the tree allows sick or injured cats a place to stay. A small laurel Bush near the rock gives a place for an apprentice to sleep. An old fox hole has been converted into the nursery. The floor has been amply padded with Moss and sedge and is regularly cleaned to help it stay fresh. Like the leaders den, it can be at risk of flooding in heavy rain, but the entrance has been reinforced with tightly woven branches and bramble tendrils that gives it a covering that slows this process. The elders find their home in a second, smaller, laurel bush. Like the Warriors den, it has been woven with brambles to make it comfortable and nearly weatherproof. Ample amounts of feathers and Mas go into the nests made here. Near the front of camp, a hollowed half log rests, providing shelter for the apprentices. Nests have been made inside, but most of the young cats find it more enjoyable to sleep out in the open when the weather is nice due to the cramped nature of the log. Great Elm| Near the River, but still several fox lengths from its bank, a solitary Elm tree grows. The only of its kind in the territory, it is a rather noticeable landmark. It grows tall and wide, an elder of its own species in all respects. With a tangle of massive roots, the cats find fairly good hunting here. Reflection Pool| Near The center of the territory, an open space at least five fox lengths wide has formed. Fed by an underground spring, a beautiful and very clear pool of water has formed. The surface of the water remains smooth and undisturbed the majority of the time, only really moved in occasions of strong weather. As a result, the sky is reflected perfectly here, resembling a mirror image of what ever is above the surface. False Meadow| In The area where the territory starts to become more water than dry ground, a very large open space appears to be a meadow. Moss and lilies grow in abundance from one side to the other. Unseen from the surface however, this is merely a thin covering that conceals a pool of shallow water over a layer of thick and sticky mud. All MarshClan cats are warned even as young as kits that this place is dangerous. Apprentices are shown this as one of their first visits.
