He would love to say that he didn't need the others to like him, he'd love to say he didn't care for how they felt, but he couldn't. In the end of the day they were all trapped in a new world full of wonder and danger and they needed to learn to work together. More importantly they would have to move past minor issues and comunicate better. Having the party split apart so early on could lead to their downfall and the inevitability of Maleficents total reign. Matthew really didn't want that to happen, and so he trudged on, silently behind the group not daring to speak up unless spoken to and if the remark was rude or unneeded then he wouldn't respond to them at all. They needed to grow up and move on. When Sierra began to slow her pace Matthew could feel the tension coming. She clearly wanted to speak her mind or say something to them and she was going to match them to do it. What came out however wasn't what he anticipated. Concern. Matthew looked ahead, trying not to show any emotion towards recent events as he answered her question. 'Are you two ok?' A question that would bring anyone on the verge to tears had they been holding it in. Luckily Matthew had already let his go earlier with Colby. "I'm fine. I wasn't the one pushed inside of a Lake full of who knows what. I just want to help save her parents and then move on with our mission." Throwing someone in a potentially enchanted lake was a dangerous thing to do, but it was done and nothing more could change that.
