[indent]When Mariano Giannulli accepted courtesy tickets to the opening night and consequent banquet of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, he’d been expecting to indulge in a lavish meal and simply enjoy the timeless sounds of beautiful classical music. What he [i]hadn’t[/i] anticipated was to find himself captivated by the long, flaming red hair and outstanding talent of the orchestra’s star cellist: a 25 year-old Scottish beauty by the name of Catriona McAlister.

To say that it was love at first sight for Mariano was putting it mildly. He took it upon himself to, like the gentleman that he was, court the unsuspecting Catriona, who was both flattered and curious to get to know the man she’d made such a long-lasting impression on. One dinner date later, and it was clear to the both of them that they had found their soulmate. Their engagement was announced by the end of the year, the marriage taking place exactly a year later, and the welcoming of their first and only daughter Fiamma Catriona a year after that. And deciding that New York was too busy for their new chapter as a family, the Giannullis packed up and made the move to Columbus, Ohio. 

The red-haired girl was raised in the picture-perfect, exemplary, upper class suburban family: with the electronic-free tableside dinners every night, attending Catholic church every Sunday and taking memorable vacations a few times a year. Growing up loved, adored and doted on was certainly no hardship for Fiamma. She was grateful to have been blessed with such a wonderful family and home life-- and she showed it by keeping up outstanding grades, excelling daily in her talents as a violinist, and overall just being the best well-behaved girl and young lady any parent could ever ask for.
