My grimdark fantasy novel is going to be about a group of outcasts and how they end up as what I'm calling "The Black Band." The group is comprised of six members.

Rhaak Bin Hakeem: A brutal pitfighter, an ex-thief, and an ex-slave.
Veera Nol'dorese: A disgraced dark elf princess who will do anything to gain power and regain her throne.
Ghearden Blackdagger: A dark dwarf assassin who will kill anyone for enough money, out for vengeance.
Tyn Davencourt: The 3rd best thief in Gallowsgate, ostracized from the Chimera Cartel, a Thieves Guild.
Sron: A Gnoll Bounty Hunter who eats what he kills, bringing back only the heads for the bounty.
Brimston Verenge: A scorned necromancer with a vendetta.
I sort of wanted to make an anti-hero/morally grey story with a band of morally questionable/bad people who learn to trust one another, committing crimes and unwittingly saving the day on occasion. The first book is about them all meeting, one after the other in a bizarre series of events that throws clues into why two maritime city states are about to go to war. They find out how, and they find out this conspiracy is also why each of them have been fucked over, and they solve the problem and form a group out of petty revenge.
I tend to write on a guild PM I made a few years ago. There's probably 100,000 words on it by now. I then copy/paste it to a word doc to edit and revise. Idk, I like the guild's format.
