Despite countless attempts of reconciliation from both sides at various points in their drawn-out history, both kingdoms still fiercely upheld the feud for one reason or another, often sparked by a tragedy caused by the other royal line. Neither side has known true peace, only the suspense of silence between the next attack to start them back to the beginning again. It has been nearly a century since the last grizzly battle that had devastated the kingdoms and royal families with the loss of their leaders and their children's forced rise to power. Too busy repairing their land to seek revenge, the feud was temporarily on hold, but not forgotten. It was amongst these years of thinly-veiled peace that the current successors were born. The children of the new lineage of the darkest rulers ever to rest on the throne crowned. They succeeded in rebuilding what was lost and bringing a new age of prosperity to their respective lands, but at a price that the citizens of either kingdom could hardly refuse. Some were killed to make room for the better suited, others had things stolen with their homes left ransacked, then some were rumored to have gone missing with no trace left to prove they were still alive. Though that was a fate saved for those who voiced their dissent of the current heads of the kingdom. The royal children were bred with a purpose that extended far past what was expected of their parents. Their roles were picked from the start to be pawns in a most fatal game since both sides were aware that they were playing the same hand. Though loved by their people from a distance, the royal heirs were meticulously groomed to know the ins-and-outs of their part to play in the upcoming convergence between kingdoms. That was conscripted under false pretenses, a fake truce being sworn with them as leverage now that the rulers have grown even more wretched in their years. There would be a wedding to unify the kingdoms nestled in the only land untouched by their feud in terms of bloodshed. The House of Suclantis and it's eccentric owner opening his doors to the families once again to be the neutral land to see this wedding through to fruition with little room for either side to be attacked from outside variables. The two families would be united with the union of their children on common ground. But if one family were to pass away while at the safest place for them, well it would be the best for both kingdoms if the living one were to take over. Bad things do happen at inopportune times. Little did either side know, there were more than just two sides at play.
The royal family under the leadership of its matriarch, Queen Brooke Anor. She was a woman with the smile that held the warmth of the sun and those who dared to stare too long were often blinded by her light demeanor. Kindness is something that often gets tacked onto her name like a throwaway title than anything substantial, and what work she has done to help the people of her kingdom would add some creditability to that name. Not a bad word to be said about her from any of her subjects or servants, but who would ever do so when she can easily leave them in the hands of her husband. A former lord and son of the old head of the guard before her passing with the previous's queen's demise. King Raphael is a protective man. Not inherently bad, but he has come to blows with too many of his knights for it to be a coincidence. His sunny disposition the biggest hider of his less than savory temper. Though his kids are less likely to see it, they are by no means saved from it. He is as much his wife's muscle as he is for the whole kingdom. Which is what he expects from all of his children, as he put them all through rigorous training to know how to wield a sword well enough to not besmirch their name. Any that didn't weren't fit to be seen as an heir in his eyes. Queen Brooke was blessed and carried all her children to term, but not all her children bear the same features as the King, and any who bring it up even in jest were never to be seen again after being called to his office. Her oldest son is the only one that remotely resembles them both, and often gets ladled with the responsibility of watching out for his two younger brothers and his younger twin sister since he is one of the best at fighting as far as their father is concerned, even if his eldest sister would be just as fine at the job.

Anorienela, the kingdom showered in sunlight with rolling hills that blend into the oceans in the horizon as far as the eye can see. There is rarely a day where the weather is anything but fair. It's thriving with ports that excel with trade and fishing, with the capital right in the middle of one. The castle has a very seafaring like design with symbols of the sun and shells from the sea to decorate it's golden and light color schemed walls that spiral around with many water features. There are lots of opean archways and windows with white, sheer fabric detailed with gold hanging from the corners to the ground that billow in the sea breeze.

There was a large need for able-bodied guards to protect the perimeter from the beasts that lurk at the outskirts of the kingdoms on either side of the estate when the owner of the house leaves for his mysterious trips for various lengths of time. They also protect the royal family members as well as the other workers from whatever dangers that might threaten them, even if it is each other, to keep the peace. Maids, butlers, chefs, and gardeners litter the grounds closest to the mansion as they walk about fulfilling their jobs. They, like the guards, come from many different backgrounds who found their way to the mansion one way or another to get a job from the master of the land. Though more often than not, the people who work at the mansion are from one of the kingdoms with their own reasons for seeking refuge among the halls.

The middle ground of both kingdoms where a large mansion-like castle resides. It has seen no bloodshed in the years that the feud has been active, and it is the only place that both sides will come to speak diplomatically when the rare times occur. Run by its eccentric owner, it has many servants and citizens who had flocked there for safety and found a home amongst the sprawling estate that gave them a job. People who have lived on the estate since they were born were from the small town that had sprung up within the last century form people fleeing the war, it is just a few hours from the mansion and is as self-sufficient as the mansion itself. There are many secrets hidden within its walls, such as passage ways and old letters from long since passed away relatives of the royal family on both sides that predates even the young heirs' parents.

The royal family under the leadership of its patriarch, King Marrow Isthil. He was a man with the beauty of a rose with his sharpest thorns dipped in nightshade. The darker reflection of his poised countenance never being seen by the people but felt as clear as the hand he had at their throats just ready to squeeze the rest of the life they had from them. He was not a kind man, and to earn his favor was as much a curse as it was an achievement. So it was little surprise that his wife Archne, a known widowmaker in her days before catching the king's eye though no one dared speak of it now, would be poisonously sweet that she is. Many naive concubines have accepted the warm almond treats she would offer, and not live to tell the tale. The few that did live long enough to bear a child were the ones that brought into the world; the eldest son, the fraternal twins of a son and daughter, and the second youngest daughter. Most of whom were deeply resented by Queen Archne and if they were obedient to the King's wishes, were lucky to be graced with his approval. The youngest daughter and rumored to be the only true heir was born from the once thought barren Queen, is the apple of her eye, and one of the only children to be well received by her. Though who is to say that is a blessing?

Isthilme, the kingdom hidden in moonlight and shadow thanks to a constant coverage of clouds almost permenatly shrouding the whole kingdom in darkness. Winters are severe, and it's not unheard of for there to be bouts of rain that quickly turn into hail before snow begins to fall down heavily even in the warmer seasons. The weather makes it dangerous to live on the surface, which is why the majority of cities are built into the mountains that make up the majority of the snow covered landscape Isthilme is known for. Within the safe walls of rock and tucked underneath the ground is where the citizens thrive. Despite how
