I'll just make a rough template of what I am looking for. 

• Appearance: 5'11 skinny  with a tight fit three piece suit and sharp looking fedora. (probably want to include a picture as well.)
• Name: Nick Maahs 
• Occupation: Detective for the New Haven Police Department. 
• Age: 32
• Abilities: Decent with firearms. Good intuition for mystery solving and putting clues together to piece together crimes. Helps he's been on both sides of the law.
• Bio: Born and raised in a poor family in a rough neighborhood. Nick learned very early on the limitations of what police can do to help people when his father was shot in a mugging gone wrong. Dedicating himself to the higher cause of protecting and serving the innocent of New Haven.

I think I just want to see how your character got to where they are, what are they capable of doing, and where do their affiliations lie. For example making a warrior gang member that has Odinist ties or a spy who worships Eris and sows discord. Or one of the mythical beings themselves. Giving a character a 'goal' in mind to accomplish is also helpful, but not necessarily required.
