Maritza Verenna
Interactions: [@VitaVitaAR], [@HereComesTheSnow] For several moments, the Naga seemed to not notice the slimy monstrosity as she set about destroying the remaining skeletal knights with her signature brutal efficiency. It was only after crushing the last skeleton between her coils, it's aged breastplate crumpling beneath her might, that the Naga turned to face the newest arrival to the battlefield. And for the first time that night, Maritza didn't charge. Rearing back, the Naga let out a low, snarling hiss. Despite their objective being right before them, every instinct in her body screamed to NOT fight the monster before her. For a split second, logic, instinct and duty fought for control of Maritza's next more. Out of the corner of her eye, She saw the cross-guard of Gerard's sword be repulsed by the sorceress' barrier. Now there was a fight she could win. Fainting a charge back in, Maritza diverted her momentum at the last moment; instead rushing headlong towards Gerard and the mage. Throwing a brief jog into her charge, the Knight Serpenta began spinning her newfound axe in a bid to build up as powerful of a charge as she could. As she slid around Gerard, Maritza snapped her axe to a two-handed grip once more as she swung on the mage. Closing her eyes at the last possible second, the Naga braced herself for whatever came next. Magic on magic tended to be rather spectacular.
