Just so you know, there are no bonuses for attacking while they are clumped together. You can definitely do that though, and you didn't use any boosts last turn. I think if you use some boosts correctly, you can knock one or two of them out. 

[@Double] Have faith my friend. While you two are outnumbered and out classed in base stats. The opponents don't have any boosting capabilities. So, I think you two still have a slight advantage as long as you play your cards right.
