So I’m thinking of playing a Half-Elf named Zanbin. Here is what I’m thinking of for the back story:
Zanbin is from a family of Human ranchers who breed some of the finest Salamanders on the east coast. His father is an Elf who left the safety and security of his rich family to be with a Human woman, Zanbin’s mother. Zanbin grew up learning to ride Salamanders and shoot manalock rifles. His family made a name for themselves as one of the best breeders, selling many Salamanders to Tyberia and other nearby cities. This changed when the forces of Asgard invaded. Most ranchers in the area put up no fight against the invaders, but Zanbin’s father was too proud. He verbally opposed the Asgardians, who responded by arresting him and sending him to a work camp. Shocked by this, the rest of Zanbin’s family did not put up a fight. The invaders would soon take Tyberia, changing how these lands worked. Zanbin would follow his uncle to the city, opening a store that would sell various farm goods and Salamanders to whoever needed one, though it was mostly Asgardian forces. Zanbin would unhappily work at the store for a few months before being approached by a childhood friend from a nearby ranch. This friend would convince Zanbin to join the resistance. Initially starting with spying on the Asgardian soldiers who would buy Salamander mounts and diverting money from his uncle’s business toward the resistance, Zanbin would quickly become a working rebel operative, using his skills with a manalock rifle. The skull mask he would wear into battle would soon spur urban legends of a phantom gunman, one who stalked the Asgardian troops. Or at least Zanbin would try to spread such rumours, trying to inflate his own legend.
So he’s basically a cowboy with delusions of grandeur, fancying himself a Zorro or Lone Ranger type character. As for playing as a Half-Elf I have two questions. First, what is the lifespan of the average Half-Elf. Two, do Half-Elves share the same immunity to mana radiation and poison like full-blooded Elves, or are they like Humans, or maybe somewhere in between?
