Name: Velona Species: Zuichijin (Tentative name. Not sure I like it. Probably won't refer to it much if I can help it. And yes, it's something I made up.) She comes from a pale-skinned species with hyper-aggressive tendencies and strong bio-electric abilities. Over time, the weaker members of their race evolved away from uncontrollable aggression, but the stronger still require intense meditation and sometimes even a blindfold to control themselves. Her species has developed a sort of primitive ki-sensing ability, allowing them to mentally map the area around them in a sort of bubble, in order to make up for the blindfolds some of them wear. Age: 35 Gender: Female Appearance: Long, white hair, pale, almost pure-white skin with a delicate frame. She wears a cloth blindfold over her eyes, which are red. She wears elegant, loose fitting clothes, tied tightly to her body where it won't interfere with her range of motion.
Not really 100% what I imagined, but... yeah I'm not gonna find anything closer than that.
Personality: Stoic, serene, and patient, though her good nature has been tempered after recent events. She's the type to be the voice of reason in a chaotic situation. Bio:
Born on a planet under Freeza's occupation. Rather than being slaughtered and their planet sold off, Freeza attempted to make use of their species for their unique abilities. A group of saiyans were used as an occupying force. A waste of their talents and power, but perhaps that was the point, considering his feelings about saiyans. One day, a young saiyan boy just appeared seemingly out of nowhere, though she would later learn he'd spent his early years growing in a tank. Neither of them fully aware of the tensions going on, they formed a sort of friendship. However, years later, she would learn of her people's plans for rebellion. She was to deal with the boy in order to steel her resolve for future conflict. She did as she was told, but her heart wasn't in it. Despite her betrayal and failure, she was spared, though badly beaten by the time the fight was over. Perhaps he too could not bring himself to finish her, or perhaps he'd been able to tell that she'd been pulling her punches. Regardless, she was left to limp away. She quickly learned that the rebellion was a total failure. With their scouters, the first attack to fail had put the occupying saiyans on alert, and soon enough their power and brutality overwhelmed the frailer of the two species. However, among those her people had slain was the leader of the saiyans -- and the boy's father. Her own parents had carried it out. While saiyans were not known for their warm, loving families, that combined with Velona's betrayal had caused his rage to explode. In the end, they were both left orphaned. In the following days, Freeza himself arrived to mete out their punishment. Since the rebellion had already failed pathetically, Freeza did not simply destroy their planet, but instead razed half its surface to volcanic rock and glass, leaving those who remained to try and survive on the ravaged planet. Velona should have been one of the unlucky ones, trapped on the doomed half of the planet. However, she was dragged away with a few others to be used as servants by the saiyans. A slave. She soon learned that she hadn't been chosen by chance. In keeping with the saiyans monarchical society, the boy with his newfound power had taken the place of his father, even if unofficially due to his age. She expected to spend many, miserable years under their heels, but it was not to be. The first few years were fearful, but over time she grew accustomed, and sometimes would even speak her mind. Her old companion would usually put her in her place, but wouldn't allow his fellow saiyans to do so. Eventually she realized that neither of them had quite truly been left alone in the wake of the disastrous rebellion. As twisted as it was, they had been left with each other. This became especially important when all saiyans were recalled their home world. Seeing what had become of Velona's people, her companion was... suspicious. He delayed all those under his command, claiming engine trouble to those who asked. News soon enough reached them of Planet Vegeta's annihilation. In shock, they all went into hiding, destroying their scouters. Thus, a group of warlike saiyans and a handful of servants were left to try and find a new way to live. They could no longer go tearing across the galaxy sowing havoc or they'd be found in short order. Over time, Velona slowly wormed her way into her old companion's life, perhaps out of desperation looking for the good in him she'd once known. In the end, it wasn't as hard to find as she'd expected. In the end, she found herself in a way... teaching him. Or perhaps, better yet, reminding him of how things could be different. Better. For the longest time, she was still barely more then a glorified assistant to him, but he had come to heed her word and wouldn't shun or silence her. They once more respected each other. When he had a child with another saiyan woman, it was Velona who insisted that he be raised "properly" and not left to incubate in some tank. It was then that she truly tested her standing in his eyes by browbeating him into being a father -- and she succeeded. It was then that she finally had a family again. It was hard to call the next few years truly the greatest of her strange, violent life, but they were happy. Until it was all burned to ash once more.
Techniques: Shocking ki-blasts: Amping her natural bio-electric abilities with ki, she can launch it at her enemies. Electric Roots: She can channel her ki through the ground beneath her to lay traps or stealthily attack an enemy who is standing still and unaware. Has the same basic properties as the above, though less explosive. Projected Presence: She can project her ki signature across a fair distance, making it appear she is somewhere else. She can split it in multiple directions and the effect can be made strong enough to work almost like a visual mirage or illusion. Malefic Presence: The prior ability cranked up to 11, instilling a strong sense of danger, but cannot be split. Has been known to frighten weaker victims into unconsciousness. "The monster is right behind you." Extreme Spiral Detonator: A technique she learned through observation and her last resort. Two spinning orbs of ki are pressed together and launched, or preferably slammed into at melee range, the foe. If the victim is too weak, they will usually be sent flying and spinning into the distance. When the ki of the two orbs fully mix, it will lose all stability and explode catastrophically. Usually it is manually detonated by a subsequent ki blast once at a safe distance. Transformations: Predator: While debatably not a true transformation, she can take advantage of her species' physiology to increase the intensity and density of the ki within her. This tends to cause her bio-electric abilities to run wild, leaving her cloaked in a violent storm of electricity and ki. It also tends to bring out her more vicious inner nature.
