I use a lot of Homebrew, so if you don't like this, well it's not for everyone, and I hope you find what you are looking for. I have a lot of extra resources that I've added to my games and am always willing to add more if I find stuff that I like. The key to most of the stuff that I have added is to allow you guys, along with myself greater customization. If you have questions, feel free to shoot them to me, I am all too happy to discuss anything you might want to know.

Note these are taken from Games I actually run but they give you the idea of what I am looking for -The first rule that I have, is that I will not accept disruptive players, that is to say, rules lawyering is strongly frowned upon, I do not have an issue with having one of my calls challenged and talking about it but there is a time and place for everything, this means that if you have an issue with one of my calls, you are free to bring it up once, and only once in-game, I will make an on the spot judgement call, and that will be it for the session, however, if you believe that I was still wrong you can come to me after the game and we will discuss it further, and I may retroactively alter my decisions. -I do homebrew certain things and that can mean you face certain monsters in a light that you have never met them before, whether that be a normally good monster walking a clearly evil path, or a monster whom normally would instil fear into the hearts of those it meats being a friendly NPC that will offer whatever aid it can to help you on your way, do not assume that a monster you have seen a thousand times before is one way, for it very well may not be. -This game will be hard, it is designed to be hard, the world is not your friend, and while I will not be going out of my way to kill you, I won't be coddling you either, I will let the dice fall where they may, so with that in mind think about your characters carefully. Not only will combat be dangerous but say the wrong thing to the wrong person and you could be facing down a pissed off level 20, not all NPC's will be weak as they appear, and consequences will be a thing to bear in mind. "Will stealing from this friendly NPC affect my standing in town with the guards." Yes if you're caught. -Curses: this game will involve powerful spells which are known as curses, they have extremely bad effects and are difficult and expensive to remove, There are ways to remove a curse, which involves purchasing items known as curing agents along with using the remove curse spell, They are designed to be a huge threat in the game and have four stages, each, the fourth and final stage of the curse can and will result in the loss of character, so I advise do not take these lightly. -Stats will be rolled on roll 20, I will be using an altered method of rolling stats which is 4d6+4, yes I know that seems high but this setting is going to be very hard and I want to try and give you a little bit more balanced life, so yes, you will start with slightly higher than average stats. -Starting wealth will be taken from your class, you will receive 3 x maximum gold for your class, this comes with a caveat for clerics and monks who will have to return any of the gold that they do not spend purchasing their initial equipment. -Magic Items: Magic items are few and far between, to the point that they are considered items of legend, This does extend to Potions as well, however, there is a caveat to this as well, most potions will be considered mundane and must be prepared by an alchemist, whether that is by someone with the class alchemist or someone who is proficient in alchemy tools. -Players seeking to use Homebrew may do so, pending approval by myself, If you want to use something that is not from the core books, feel free to message me about it, I'll review it and if I think that it can work, or is not broken I'll OK it. -Beyond Damage dice will be used, this will give you a lot more control over how you fight in combat, do not be afraid to use it because the NPC's and monsters that you fight, will certainly be using them against you. -Booms and Heals will also be used, it is full of potions that you will want to brew and use to your advantage. -Downtime, will be used a lot, there are many activities that can be done in downtime, this includes mingling with people to learn information, training to get a particular skill or trait, to help your character grow, the list is huge so feel free to ask me about what you think your character will do in downtime. -Traits, this game will be using traits, which are feats taken from D&D 3.5 and converted up to 5e, they will be obtained every three levels, yes that means you start at level 1 with a feat! -Encumbrance: The game will be using encumbrance rules, this means you must be ever careful of what you chose to bring with you, decide whether or not you can carry all that loot you wish to, priorities will be a big part of your decisions and survival. -Survival, this will also play a part in the game, you want to travel, you better make sure you have rations, or a way to survive out there, food is something you will have to track, you have pack animals, yes they need to eat as well. -Hit Point Recovery: Hitpoints will recover 1 x Character Level per Long rest, and short rests will work as per normal with the ability to spend hit dice to recover health, however, Hit dice will recover 1 per long rest. -Earning Experience: You may obtain experience several different ways, I will reward you for creative thinking, and being able to avoid, overcome or negate any combat encounter, RP will also net you experience, The key to gaining experience is to do things that your character would likely do, if that means retreating from combat you feel you can't win, that will gain you full experience. -Unannounced Dice Rolls: While I get the temptation to roll your dice before being asked to, I will not be counting those rolls, you may ask if you can roll for something, or I can ask you to roll for something, it is these times that rolls are to be done unless you're in combat then you follow the normal roll rules, however, those roles must be done on your turn when you are committed to an action. -PVP: This is allowed, however, there is a caveat to this, and that is if any PVP is to be undertaken it will be with the express permission of the entire group, and will not be used as a threat because you don't like a call that a player has made, it will have to fit with in the constraints of your character. -PC Secrets: Yes you are allowed to keep secrets from your party, you have secret plans, or wish to keep something away from the rest of the party feel free to PM me, But note, something that might seem inconsequential to you may have dire meanings or consequences for the party with information that others may be holding. Meta-Knowledge: Ahhh yes, this is one of my least favourite topics, but one that I see all too often, I will not tolerate it, and I will use information traps, that players may know but their characters do not, and if you are caught meta-gaming you will be punished… Be Very Cautious about using information that your character does not know… However, if you're unsure ask me if you know, better to be safe than sorry.
