She bit her lip, and made a note to apologize to him for taking such a risk. Still, she was relieved to know that her efforts had paid off. Then she heard the voice of the bandit closing in on her. She snapped her gaze toward him, and didn't have enough time to properly react. Thankfully, Fer took to Auriel's call for protection well, and arrived just in the nick of time to deflect the bandit's blow. The thought of being called a monster lingered on her mind for a moment, but those thoughts were quickly quashed by the fight. Auriel grabbed her spear and pulled it from the dirt. With Fer's quick deflection, the bandits would have been thrown off balance. "Push in, Fer! Now!" Auriel said, wanting to take this opportunity to maintain their initiative and go on the offensive. Auriel stepped inside of the hammer bandit's reach, sliding her dominant hand up the shaft of her spear until it rested just below the blade. Auriel reached out to grab the bandit but his shoulder to pull him in. With the blade of the spear being treated like a knife, Auriel pressed it into his ribs upward and at an angle to try and pierce his heart. It would be a quick death, and a clean one at that. Auriel made sure to take her hand off of the bandit's shoulder as her spear sunk into his body, so not to provide the divine healing of her touch. No one deserved that kind of suffering, receiving a mortal wound and healing just enough to stay alive through the pain. Such things were cruel, and Auriel wasn't going to lower herself to the bandit's level of ethics.
