The streamer wanted to keep moving but she'd just found out that Joanne was on her way via text. She was definitely a little antsy, which was probably a massive understatement. Samantha had been tapping her phone against her hand so much that there was a red welt that was starting to develop. On top of that, she was also fidgeting a bit, bouncing side to side as she waited for Joanne to finally show up. She really had no idea as to why she was so nervous. Was it because this was going to be the first time she was ever going to meet someone off the internet? She'd dealt with her fair share of people as a gamer and a streamer, but the amount of nervous energy radiating from her was enough to cook a steak. A few minutes felt like a decade to Samantha while she waited for Joanne to get to her, and the longer she stood there the more she felt like she was getting stared at. Were people staring at her? Samantha wasn't entirely sure, but she wasn't surprised if she was. It was getting harder and harder to go unnoticed the bigger her stream got. The way things were looking, that wasn't going to be stopping anytime soon. There were a bunch of thoughts racing through her head as she waited for Joanne to show up and finally break the digital barrier that was between them. However, Samantha was starting to sink into them a bit, remaining relatively stationary near the parking lot exit, before she heard an all-too-familiar, yet unfamiliar voice call out her name. "Sammy?" Samantha's eyes darted behind her, her head soon following as she saw what was absolutely, undeniably, Joanne Lynn in the flesh. "Oh shi-!" Samantha barely uttered, before she was met with a hug big enough to create a shockwave throughout the city of Columbus, Ohio. Samantha also didn't expect Joanne to be so strong. As tight and enjoyable the hug was, she felt like she was going to suffocate if Joanne held on any longer. Not like she minded, but she was definitely expecting something a bit softer. Soon after, Joanne finally let go and Samantha was able to breathe a bit more freely once again. There was a smile on Samantha's face as the realization that she really was meeting Joanne was sinking in, even more so now that Joanne was apparently crying. "Oh- don't cry! Nooo, you're gonna make me cry!" Samantha chuckled, feeling her eyes start to get a little misty. Whether or not those were real tears, however, that was up to Samantha to figure out. "I can say the same for you!" Samantha sighed, "I don't know what to say either. This is all soo overwhelming." Samantha took a deep breath to compose herself, "It's so good to finally meet you!" Samantha's eyes then transferred to two guys standing nearby. Maybe they were Joanne's friends? Clearing her throat, she turned toward the two guys behind Joanne, reaching a hand out to both of them to shake. "Are these your friends, Joanne?" Samantha asked curiously, before flashing a smile at them, "Hi, I'm Samantha! It's great to meet you guys!" Samantha greeted, a slight tinge of manufactured and prefabricated laced into the greeting as she awaited their reply. So far so good, right?
