She has brown eyes but is known to wear green colored contact lenses every now and then instead of her plain prescription contacts. Elena has multiple scars to include those acquired from everyday, playground injuries as a child and her most predominant one on her left side from being involved in a serious car accident. Aside from her ears, she doesn't have any additional piercings and has an owl tattoo on her right shoulder blade. Fashion wise, the young woman doesn't follow any specific style. On any one day during the week, she can be spotted wearing her scrubs but otherwise, Elena will opt for something comfortable yet presentable.

[b]PERSONALITY[/b]
[indent]For the most part, Elena can be labeled as someone who is quiet rather than a chatterbox. She usually keeps to herself whenever she's around strangers, not one who feels the need to come up with a conversation out of the blue just because. Additionally, Elena is the soft-spoken type. That being said, she's not necessarily the same person around her family and friends. Whenever she's around her loved ones, Elena lets loose and doesn't hold back, casually making jokes and taking over conversations as she pleases. That same playful personality comes out after she's had a drink or two regardless of the company. Whenever she's not working, Elena doesn't mind sitting in front of a couch with a glass or two of wine to catch up on a good flick and unwind.[/indent]
[b]HISTORY[/b]
[indent]Elena was born into a family of non-powered individuals, to include her father, mother, and older brother. As the youngest of the two children, and due to the chaos going on in the streets, Elena was sheltered more so than her brother. The fact that her family is Italian meant they were overprotective and in her opinion, a little suffocating at times. But on the flip side, they were fair, patient, and kind; eventually instilling those same values on her and her brother as they grew older. 

During her school years, Elena was always a bright student. She excelled in academics and when she was in high school, she made some money tutoring her classmates and even some students that were older than her. She did the same the following school years as well as the subsequent summer breaks. Her parents were well off, not too wealthy but comfortable enough to afford to send her to college without the need to have her slave away at a minimum wage job. With that said, Elena's grades won her a few scholarships and they were more than thrilled with her achievements. Elena's interest had always been the medical field, and while she did not wish to go on to become a doctor due to her fear of burning out, she pursued a career as a nurse practitioner and fell in love with every aspect of the job.

Due to the fact that she dedicated a lot of her time to her studies, Elena didn't get involved in a serious relationship until she was nearly done with school. It was then she met Jason, the guy whom she would eventually fall for and decide to marry when the time was right. Jason had his own unique set of abilities unlike her and her family, but unfortunately, his bold and assertive personality got him killed. The news a year ago nearly broke Elena, and ever since that day she keeps telling herself she needs to do something about Jason's death.[/indent]
