She felt warm, bright, and more confident in herself and what she was going to say, but at the same time her dread gathered more and more in the pit of her stomach. It formed a knot so tight that she wasn't even sure if she could speak. Nevertheless, she returned the other dragon's smile the best she could and reached forward to take his claws in hers.
