Ria & King: Dreaded Venture
"King, four o'clock, in the corner, do you see them?" Ria Koehler said. She looked down intently at a set of two people matching King's description somewhat. There were a sh#@!load of people at the ball who fit his description, but somehow her eye was drawn to them time and time again. There was something about them. The way they... interacted? With anyone below their station. Well practiced, well rehearsed. If she thought about it, she knew it well. A professional arse kisser. Or a professional backstabber. She'd seen it a lot in the family gatherings she'd been forced to attend. Frankly, she was disgusted she shared blood with those people. But well, when you were a minor and they were your family, what else were you supposed to do? "Oh, hey, that's them alright!" King's voice suddenly came over the transciever. Ria had been so absorbed in her thoughts that King's voice rattled her a little bit. "Those two are who you're looking for?" She said in an incredulous tone of voice. "Last thing I knew, we didn't know any twins with blonde hair who looked like that." "They might be in disguise, but I know we don't know any twins, either." "Haha, don't worry, you might or might not know 'em by the end of this. I'm gonna be a little while so have a good night, King out and that's a job well done!" The transceiver shut off abruptly. Ria shook her head as she looked down at the scene below, once again. She could never understand what King was thinking, now moreso than ever. She didn't want to stick around at the party, but if she left now she just knew she wouldn't get a proper answer within the next business month. Maybe more. So what exactly would she do?
