When working with a synchronized team that is as precise and effective as he is, he shows remarkable and even surprising results, often not letting emotions cloud his judgement or actions. He shows no hesitation in fulfilling orders given, no matter the situation.
 
When finding himself in a position where contacting with his superiors shows to be impossible, Mikhail shows a remarkable capacity of improvising and using his own judgement to complete his mission, despite the lack of orders or directions. Due to that, Mikhail is comfortable in working solo if he has to. When working as a team though, Mikhail clearly shows a lack of interest in assuming a position of leadership, preferring much more to keep as far away from the chain of command as possible.

If one has to point one flaw Mikhail has though is that when on the field, he has no problems in completely disregarding morals if he judges that to be the most effective way to complete the mission. If given permission to do what he wants, a favorable result is certain, but the methods he might use for it might not be exactly well received by some. Mikhail is a perfect example of the type of agent that sometimes needs to be controlled by giving clear orders and directives for his missions. Pairing him with an operator that has strong morals and isn't afraid to remind others of that is highly advisable.

Named after the Russian word for Specter, it is comprised of two different components. A suit made of special material to counter thermal sights and scopes and an equipment that completely eliminates any sound made by the operator by using a set of potent and highly sensitive recorders and speakers capable of reproducing a wide range of sounds and frequencies, creating destructive interference matching with the sounds it records from the surroundings. It can completely negate from delicate sounds of one's heartbeat, effectively countering heartbeat sensors, to even the sounds of small firearms while amplifying certain sounds heard by the operator such as steps and other relevant noises. While it is active though, the operator has no means of communicating with his team or anyone by voice and may find himself in complicated situations if one does not plan how to use it carefully.

Born in Moscow, Russia and raised by his father, Anatoly Viktorov, a major general in the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation and his mother Ekaterine Volkov, having attained the rank of colonel in the Russian police, Mikhail grew surrounded by people who had history both in the military, such as his father or the police, which did play a major role in making Mikhail interested in the military career and weapons in general. As it was expected from someone who was raised in a family whose both parents work with weapons, Mikhail was taught how to use and maintain them both from watching his parents and under their instruction. Showing a surprising talent in shooting and wielding weapons, since young, it was clear to both of his parents that if Mikhail wanted to follow a career in the police or the military, he would definitely be a brilliant agent.

After completing high school, Mikhail, unsurprisingly enlisted in the police academy thanks to his mother's recommendation and history in the police. Due to his education at home, he encountered little to no difficulty in the academy, excelling in all classes and graduating himself at the top of his class. After spending 4 years in the police though, news and clear signs of terrorist activity coming from countries located in the western border started to appear. When terrorist attacks began in Prague, the threat of terrorism in Russia was clear and closer than it ever was. When his father died, victim of a terrorist attack in the center of Moscow, which would be the first of many, Mikhail felt incredibly helpless. Feeling that he simply couldn't do anything to prevent more terrorist attacks or eliminate the problem at it's roots and knowing that he was capable of doing more, he enlisted himself in the Russian Ground Forces, where his skills, talent and diligence in trainings and fire drills quickly attracted the attention of higher ranking officers. 

After serving for four years in the Russian Ground Forces and being deployed a few times, a particular incident brought the attention of the SSO to Mikhail in particular. In this incident, where he was deployed together with a team to the border with Ukraine, following some terrorist threats, his unit found themselves in direct confrontation with an unusually well armed terrorist group in a surprise attack. Mikhail's capability of making decisions despite the lack of orders from the higher ranking officers and his skills showed to be imperative to lessen the losses of said attack and gave their unit a chance of retaliating. After this incident, Mikhail was selected by as a potential recruit for the new Russian Special Operations Forces. After passing their grueling training, he trained under them for a few years, showing an impressive performance, especially in reconnaissance, infiltration and operations where a more delicate approach was required, he quickly became a essential asset and often being deployed even in assassination missions. Attaining a record of dozens of successful operations, Mikhail was contacted by Rainbow and offered a position in the team.
