	A smooth, soft, round face belies a hard edge. Behind black rimmed yellow irises is a mind primed for analytics and freewheeling. Noriko’s nose is short, narrow, and round, resting elegantly over a pair of small, soft lips. Noriko’s neck is smooth, and slightly on the short and thin ends of average. Her cheeks are round, but not prominent, giving her a round, soft looking face, which is contrasted by her broad and sloping shoulders. Her body is full figured and soft, with legs that give a stocky appearance near the ankles, due to being slightly short, as her stature is overall, on the shorter side. Her complexion is dark, and she cares little for how the clothes she wear look. She often wears a thin hooded cotton jacket with many inner pockets, simply because it's warm and comfortable, and sturdy boots that keep her feet from falling asleep [s]and totally not because she'd be too lazy to stand half the time otherwise[/s].

	The first time Noriko remembers feeling genuine satisfaction was the moment of calm after her first attempt at hacking. What started as a morbid curiosity turned into a rather rash attempt at checking her own grades to see if she was passing, one way or another. It didn’t hurt that the school’s security systems were woefully inaccurate from the inside, and every student was given an account to use at any of the various service-terminal computers in the school, and since none were dumb terminals, any of them could function like a master computer.
	From there, the thrill of virtual infiltration became what she lived for. A joke of a request, at the observation of her competence with a computer, led to her being offered a small but rising sum of money from more and more desperate classmates. Noriko was hooked. The jump to breaking through firewalls just to see if she could and exposing personal and financial files for commission was as natural as her next breath.She eventually found her way to the dark-web, where these requests were more and more common, and her reputation as [noparse]‘rotten_Soul_cage’[/noparse] became a whisper on the lips of the clever and the desperate. Of course, she never made it “big time”.
A power-surge and the resulting outage damaged her personal VPN system. The next morning, as she worked to fix it, she heard the reason on the radio. Violence caused by instigation against a small Adept population led to the destruction of a transformer. The resulting explosion and temporary unregulated power flow gave Noriko a major setback. She decided, one way or another, it wasn’t worth admitting she knew anything about adepts, lest it cost her her equipment again, or worse.
	Naturally, when she discovered she herself was an Adept, she realized her current location was unsafe. So, she decided to pack up. Hearing of the apparent acceptance of Sumeragi, however, she decided to make her way to the city where they were headquartered, hoping she would find an environment more welcoming of Adepts, and thus safer to make a hideout.
