[indent][color=AFF8CB]I’m not the best at showing my emotions, and can be convincingly [b][i]stoic[/i][/b] despite being two loud sounds away from having a meltdown. Maybe it’s emotional constipation, maybe it’s maybelline. Either way, I was like that before I cracked my skull open, now I’m just more forgetful and with the impulse control that most movies show teenagers to have, so at times I give into intense feelings or questionable decisions without much thought, especially when I get really stressed.

Though that’s the extremes, I’m often in the neutral middle ground where people can’t easily tell how I’m feeling thanks to being at a comfortable [i][b]calm[/b][/i] that is [i][b]friendly[/b][/i] and [i][b]open-minded[/b][/i]. Good vibes and times has gotten me a lot of friends throughout the years, especially at camp. I'm half-convinced that people just assume that I'm high cause of how [i][b]mellow[/b][/i] I can be, or it could be thanks to there not being much that really grinds my gears enough to get a drastic reaction out of me normally.

I can piece together how I’m feeling and whether I’m getting overwhelmed usually, but there are a few who have begun to pick on my own tics and tells that have helped keep me level headed, and they are my closest friends for that. I wouldn’t trade them for the world and they have an easier time talking me out or into things than most since I avoid doing more than what is expected of me. My schedule is hectic as is, I try to enjoy what free time I have, so I get a little [i][b]sarcastic[/b][/i] when people threaten to throw me off my groove. I won't yeet you off a mountain, but if you keep asking for more and more until I have no time for myself, you're on real thin ice bucko.

It doesn't matter if I hate someone or not, I have [b][i]zero interest in perpetuating drama[/i][/b] of any kind through gossip or knowingly insighting it cause it's one huge drag for everyone involved. Get everything out in the open and come to an agreement, if I can I do it, you can. It's easier to just be upfront with everything, whether it be an apology or simply telling the truth. Lying is about the only thing I can't stand and will make me genuinely hate a person, and while my shit list is pretty nice since I still treat the people on it with a baseline of politeness for me, which isn't all that polite but whatever.[/color][/indent]

Some might say petite thanks to how I have to kinda watch what I eat so I get enough protein and nutrients. My hair has grown to be at my mid back again, despite the waves, though it is a dark brown now. Avoided going tanning, so still pale. Mostly hoodies and jackets to keep me warm. Really love beanies and anything to keep me from freezing my ass off in winter. [indent][color=AFF8CB]My mom was the famed figure skater who had her blades in both the pair skating world and the individual competitions since she was young, with her jumps had earned the name the Axel Jump Queen. And at the age of twenty-one made the sudden announcement of her retiring after failing to get a gold at the national level. You’d expect that the father would have been her partner, right? Wrong. It was their main competitor at the time, and while a lot of brows were raised, no one said anything officially about something foul being a foot. 

She never married him, even after me and my brother Danny were born. He wasn’t in our lives at all growing up, and all we had was each other and the ice rink she made us go to as soon as it was allowed while also signing us up for ballet. It was a good thing we both enjoyed it, otherwise, she was forcing herself to work three jobs and putting us down the same road she had been when she was our age.

I was the stronger skater, and that made our mom favor me a lot, even though Danny was the one who listened to her the most. There wasn’t a day that we didn’t spend at that rink in Forks, Washington, whether it was the normal training or us preparing for a competition. Pair Skating was thrilling and fun, since it was the only time that me and Danny could compete together, and he was the only one I trusted to have my back. We were good at it, and for years we did very well, but it wasn’t what he loved. Our father came back into our lives a few years after our mother married our coach and started sending us to the winter camp so they could have Christmas to themselves. Our biological dad really took a shine to Danny.

He loved us both, but he allowed Danny to just be a kid for once, and the boys his age preferred hockey over figure skating. Once he tried it, there was no way I could tear him completely away from it to keep competing in pairs. So, we made a deal, he could enjoy playing hockey and I would work on individual competitions for two years before he would skate with me again for the last time so that we could go to nationals while we were still juniors. He was supposed to take it easy with hockey and mostly be a fill-in that year, but no. He did it anyway and lied about it, not changing even after I told him that he couldn’t keep that up. He rubbed it in my face when we were just one more win away from getting to nationals, but he finally learned his lesson.

I had to be the one that paid for it though, because he messed up his spacing since he was tired, and he didn’t realize we were too close to the barricade. He lifted me, even after I told him not too, and my head hit the wall on live feed after his arms buckled and I fell right out of his hands. I had to take a year off skating competitively thanks to the large scar on the back of my head. Our parents had different reactions, but in the end, he went to live with our dad, and I got to stay with our mother. We haven’t had a heart to heart since despite us being sent to the camp almost every year and how our dad makes us to spend time together as a family. I completely abandoned the idea of pair skating ever again, and focused on individual work instead, and have only recently begun competing again with a different coach. [/color]

[I][u]Amelia Harris[/u] was the spoiled daughter of two wealthy socialites who loved figure skating and all that it entailed and was given every opportunity possible to prosper. But due to her being a terrible human being who didn't have the emotional gravitas to make it by herself in the skating world without using shady means, that her parents had to bail her out with their money. She tried to become partners with the stunning up-and-coming male pair skater [u]Vincent Harrington[/u], without ever having trained to pair skate. She was rejected and out of spite went with the lesser skater [u]Don Winston[/u], and spent years climbing the ladder to reach the same level to surpass the man who spurned her. At the age of twenty-one, she had hurt her hip but continued training despite her doctor's guidance and ended up increasing the severity of her injury to the point she would no longer be able to continue to skate competitively, and rather than bow out gracefully, had drugged Vincent during an after-party and took advantage of him. Using her soon-to-be-announced pregnancy as her departure from the skating world as soon as she could get a positive test to prove it, not saying who the father was. She settled down in Forks, Washington with her extended family to raise her kid with full intention to push them to make up for her failures. Unaware until she was able to get an ultrasound down that she would be having twins.

While inconvenient, it was two chances to the same end, and thus went out of her way to make sure that they grew up physically healthy and moderately happy, using every chance she had to drill in skating subliminally to them. No expense or task was too daunting for her when they were finally old enough to attend classes. This was why she ended up taking on three jobs and playing the poor single mother card for the attractive coach she had managed to convince to give her kids extra attention. For the most part, she wasn't there thanks to being busy, but when competitions came rolling around those jobs became less important. Her attendance being spotty there so she could warm up to their coach too and from places, spending more time at the rink while her kids were receiving their lessons.

It wasn't long before the himbo coach, [u]Mathew Mannings[/u] fell for her and popped the question for a winter wedding. While the twins were there for it, their mother and new step-dad sent them off to a camp he used to attend so they could enjoy a honeymoon away from them at the tender age of seven. Admittedly, their best Christmases had been at the camp since, the years passing with ease as their financial status was raised and they could afford a better coach since Mannings were loaded and under the thumb of their mother. Though most of the attention went onto Charlie since Danny was a little slower in learning than she was, and had trouble perfecting his sets. As they grew into their teens and puberty was setting in, their mother was growing more verbal with her distaste at Danny's progress despite the two of them doing very well for their age, and it was after one bad night of hearing her older twin brother cry that Charlie had gone out of her way to find their father on Facebook and sent him a letter.

A few weeks later, they would officially get to meet them, and to avoid a court case, their mother agreed to allow him partial custody but he maintained their schedules. Which he did, though he did take them out early from some of their lessons when he could or out of school to just spend the day doing something their mother ever thought to do. While he wasn't allowed to have them for Christmas, he sent them presents to open at the camp and had plenty for them to enjoy when they came over to his house that he had bought in their hometown so he could keep an eye on his kids. Danny received nothing but fond memories and praise from his father, and was given the freedom to find out that there was more than just figure skating to do on the ice. Hockey, soon winning over his heart, and like the supportive little sister Charlie was, she helped broker a deal so that he could enjoy it without their mother blowing a complete gasket though she didn't enjoy skating on her own all that much.

The twins branched off from each other, Charlie silently working with her mother to work on her own individual skills at skating while her brother was becoming a favorite as a hockey player on his team between practices thanks to being one of the fastest and most agile members on their team. The two years they agreed upon came and went, and Danny was drunk on confidence and thought he could keep up with both hockey and figure skating, opting to not warm the bench on most games like he had said he would. Though having his teammates come to support him to the closer competitions, and throwing parties for the farther ones, boosted his energy, he was slowly wearing down without noticing it himself. Charlie however did, and while he disagreed with her, they were lucky that there were no other games for him to play until the last competition to allow them to make it into Nationals. The damage was done, however, and his tired body failed him during the moment she needed him to be strong the most. She got hurt and thankfully wasn't killed by him thinking he could do it all. 

Their mother and stepfather were furious with him, and he couldn't blame them for that at all, but his father defended him saying that it was irresponsible to expect him to do both hockey and pair skating. While awful, this was an accident. Unforuntefully, dear ol' dad just outed his son and how he had been playing in the games, and that was the last straw for Charlie and her trust in him. She had a very bad reaction, and it was clear that the two couldn't be under the same roof when she got released. So Danny was forced to live with his father, though it would have been a blessing in any other scenario, it was the biggest indicator of the growing gap between him and his twin.

He went camping alone that year and didn't see her until she came to visit their father for Christmas. Him trying to apologize aggravating her to the point that she had a meltdown again and spent most of her time in her room. She couldn't handle being in the same room as him for more than a few minutes at a time, and it made going to the same school very difficult, so it was just easier for him and his dad to move. His father settling them down in Toronto, Canada, so that he could at least focus on hockey with his new team. She visited a little more frequently between breaks at school and slowly built back to a fraction of what their relationship was, albeit it is much colder now despite how she attends the games he plays in when she is there and he does the same with her competitions.
