Don't you think the world will be a little brighter without you in it?"[/cell][/row][row][cell][sup]_______________________________________________[/sup] [/cell] [cell] "It is troublesome, the way that life can turn. Like an hourglass, sometimes what you think has to be turned on its head before you run out of time...", Remi mused to Bakuto, stroking his chin with his index finger, "Sensei, am I wrong to believe with such a mission, a shift like that has happened at the highest levels?" Bakuto had certainly brought up some interesting points and it was true that the debriefing had done little to inform, only to put everyone on edge. However, Remi tried to view the current situation as an opportunity. After all, he would be on a top secret mission as his first of his career! He'd be working alongside Kumo-nin, which meant he might be instrumental in fostering peace between the nations. If so, and if the Kumo-rep (as he so referred to himself) was any indication, Kumo-nin were attractive and fashionable and Remi could only imagine what kind of styles would emerge from an alliance of the villages. The thought put Remi in good spirits, despite the negative tone around him. But why should he feel poorly? His jounin seemed amiable and capable, once she was given the opportunity to lead, and his teammates seemed much the same! Bakuto was bright and a little mysterious. Remi had heard about what happened to Bakuto's arm and his eye, but Remi thought it only added to the eccentricity of his character. Hiro the Suna-nin was bright in another way, though one that lacked Bakuto's dark mystery. Hiro was the illuminating and sunny kind of bright. He had such an open friendly face and honest disposition, that, despite his foreign origin, the idea of being his teammate seemed a bit like a warm summer day. Hah! It was like being on a team with the sun and the moon. And that made Remi the earth? Or maybe the stars or the sky. He supposed he'd have to find out. Mizuraki-sensei even saw it, assigning the two as twins of a kind, with Remi himself adapting to the needs of the moment. It was a scrumptiously devious gambit. With their skills combined, they would probably be like a storm, a tsunami, a hurricane! With the sun and the moon on your side, you controlled the tides of battle. Remi was in good cheer.
