He'd never held something off that large before, so he was rather impressed by his ability to pull that off, flexing his powers that didn't involve disrupting the rest of the dead was much more his speed. Controlling metal was useful, and it didn't make him feel icky at all. From here, he'd try to use that more, rather than defend himself using his necromancy. It looked like it would be hard to control something that large, and he didn't know if the god of the forge was going out be mad at them for destroying his creations in the first place, and didn't want to risk it by engaging any more than they strictly needed to.
