[indent]Denise and James Howard were a match made in heaven. They met in college- a private and fancy institution- and fell in love. The two were completely in sync, almost the same soul. It didn't take long for them to get engaged and married, moving to New York City shortly after to start their careers. They amassed a large amount of money in a short period of time, James earning a hefty sum from his growing role at an advertising firm, and Denise selling some of the most lucrative properties in the tri-state area. This afforded them the position to move away from the city after a few years in order to start a family of their own. They settled in Columbus, a middle ground between Chicago and New York so that James could easily travel for work, and they had three children, Olivia the youngest. Denise had always wanted a daughter to spoil and dote upon, and once she was born, everything became about her. 

From what it seemed like, Liv's parents made the most time for their baby girl (even though total hours spent with their children dwindled as the years went on). Her mother loved nothing more than to put the blonde in cute outfits and dresses and her father made sure she had every toy and doll she ever wanted. All of her needs and desires were always fulfilled and her parents spoiled her rotten. But from this constant attention and affection, it became clear that Liv's parents were attempting to shelter her from the world. Highly overprotective, every aspect of the young girl's life was plotted and planned and controlled for her.

When her brothers got to do whatever they wanted, play with the neighbors and just be boys, the young girl had to follow rules and structure in a way her siblings didn't need to. Her parents made sure she had the best manners and etiquette, always presented herself well, and masqueraded everything she felt behind a smile. Forever the obedient and respectful daughter, she listened to them wholeheartedly, only considering that they were doing this because they loved and wanted what was best for her. She became a china doll, a pretty face, and a naive young lady. 

When she got to High School though, she started to take stock of how the other girls acted around her. They were free birds- able to do and say as they pleased and make risky choices and learn from them. The blonde girl wanted to do that, but under her parent’s watchful eye it was highly unlikely she’d ever be given that chance. However, now a Junior and at Rosefell of all places, all Liv wants to do is make up for lost time. She has had this hidden desire to let all hell break loose and now that her parents are barely around she can’t imagine a better time to break out of the mold she was set into at an early age.
