Beyond anything else, Argus fashion himself as a protector of those who can't protect themselves, whether that be through a sharp turn of phrase to keep the heat off a friend's rear or taking to the streets to dust knuckles with anyone threatening his friends and family. Often to a fault, he puts the needs of others over his own and often finds himself neck-deep in trouble because of it. However, he has yet to fall into a hole he couldn't dig himself out of, and the devil's own luck seems to follow him, leading the young man to approach situations with a devil-may-care attitude. However, in quieter moments where he need not keep the bravado and bluster up, Argus is a lot more vulnerable and desperate than he initially appears. Lacking in a strong sense of self-identity without others to rely on or that rely on him and plagued with strange nightmares that he can't even remember. the young man has taken to staying on the move when strange occurrences that happen near him get too much to bear. He lives in fear of loneliness, yet finds himself incapable of ever staying in one place for too long before his condition starts to cause issues for those around him. Perhaps it is this contradiction that leads to such reckless and near-suicidal behavior in how he helps others.[/sub]
Appearance
[sub]"Clothes make the man" is a phrase which the young mage has taken to heart in his wandering years, always dressed in a rather tidy and semi-formal fashion to make for his own rather middling looks. His hair is a perfectly maintained mess of auburn tangles and curls that takes about 30 minutes out of his morning to get ready(an hour if he's got a girl he wants to impress). While he isn't that tall of a fellow, he isn't particularly short either and considers the surprisingly fit physique he hides beneath his suits to make up for any verticality-based short-comings he may or may not have.[/sub] “Some say a magician never reveals his secrets. That is what Argus considers himself ever since the day his father left him with a curse that controls his life to this very day. He was the son of a dark mage, inducted into the dark side of magic before he could even talk and bearing witness to many terrible deeds in his youth. To even call him the 'son' of the man who he called father was a misnomer, for this man had stolen Argus away from his family shortly after his birth, seeing something valuable in the young child and desiring it for his own purposes. His father was a researcher of ancient demonology, seeking to discover the source of demonic beings and the twisted powers they wielded with terrible efficacy. To this end, many living subjects were captured and experimented, their forms and minds twisted by what they underwent though never to any degree that his father felt constituted a success. For Argus, however, the experimentation was much more gradual and seemingly benign. as he learned to harness his latent magical skills, he was exposed to a number of strange bones and ritualistic artifacts, his father gently asking which ones seemed to resonate with his Origin. For years this continued, with his father growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of results in either his trials or the lack of a reaction in the child he had risked much to acquire. Argus, for his part, tried his hardest to please his father, to prove that he wasn't a failure like the rest. Like always, he desired to be useful, so that he wouldn't be tossed aside like the others his father had brought. . . or worse. And then the day came, when a strange crystallized mass was set before him, that he felt a stirring in his chest. First came pain, then roiling emotions that filled the very depths of his DNA, his blood calling out to something it had long forgotten. . . and then nothing. When he awoke, his father looked down on him with that same disappointed glare that always came from a failed experiment. There was no anger. No rage. Just cold, calculated apathy. And then he left. He was only about 15 when the incident occurred, left in that weakened unstable state. it was likely that the man thought he'd die from exposure or succumb to whatever was done to him. if left on his own, he likely would have.. but Argus was not fully alone in those early days. As he left the secret lair where his father conducted his trials, traveling the wilderness in search of any kind of purpose, something coursed through him. When he wanted to just lay down and give up, convinced that he was unwanted, that he had no worth to anyone, thoughts not wholly his own forced him into a state of survival. And so, he survived. . . and so he wandered.
Magic:
Re-quip: The Trickster Argus' main magic(and the only one he knows as far as most of the guild is aware), is a form of Requip magic that specializes in trickier tools instead of weapons and armors. While he does have a few knives and swords within his repertoire, the crux of the magic is summoning a number of magical items that serve to distract, detain, deceive, and otherwise annoy the crap out of one's opponent. While not inherently that dangerous and seems more like a bunch of party gags and cheap tricks at first, Argus has proven to be quite the slippery combatant with the vast array of items he has stored within this magic and can be quite unpredictable and clever when using it. This is made especially true because Argus is also deceptively good at Re-quip magic, able to summon forth any of his items almost instantaneously and from nearly anywhere on his person as well. Amongst the items listed in spells, Argus also carries around an uncountable number of more mundane party tricks and novelties that he often uses to entertain others or himself when out on a job. In fact, Argus can oftentimes be seen putting on little magic shows for the kids of the town, and even the adults at times(for a price) Spells Ventriloquist's Ring: A nifty little item that Argus bought on a whim, it allows him to 'throw' his voice, making it sound like it's coming to a direction and a distance of his choosing. He does this by speaking into the hand with the ring on it. He can even change the voice a little bit by shifting the timbre up or down a tad, but unfortunately, he can't use it to mimic others . . . unless he learns how to do it himself. Magician's Chains: An enchanted chain that grows in length and durability in proportion to the amount of magical energy pumped into it, making it handy as a rope, a means of odd defense, even a whip if Argus is feeling frisky or needs to keep his distance. Bag O' bombs: Argus has Smoke Bombs, he has sticky bombs, he's got grease bombs, oil bombs, flash bombs, nail bombs, itching bombs, pepper bombs, bomb-bombs, and possibly a few more that he has yet to find or think of. Needless to say, the boy knows his way around explosives better than most Knives: Throwing knives, Cooking knives, whittling Knives, Carving Knives. . . . Argus has tons of knives for any and every occasion and no, you can't know where he got them. De-obfuscator Goggles: A fancy pair of goggles that Argus managed to win in a game of cards during one of his jobs, these goggles allow the wearer to not only see in the blackest of nights but also lets them see through most kinds of particulate-based obfuscations of sight like smoke, dust, fire, etc. It also automatically adjusts the lens to deal with sudden flashes of intense light, allowing the user to view them without any risk to themselves and only some minimal discomfort. Puppeteer's gloves: Knifty black gloves that allow one to telekinetically puppet small inanimate objects at will via the attachments of tiny strings of magical energy. Max range of about 5 meters. Rope: Because you can never have too much rope. Deck of Cards: A suit of playing cards that explode into a dazzling display of lights with the slightest application of magical energy. Chameleon Cloak: Provides Argus with the ability to blend into his surroundings to nearly vanishing from sight, though a keen eye could possibly perceive him due to the slight imperfections within the illusion. [ ]: This is an ancient curse, burn from the Resonance between Argus' Origin and the lingering soul of the Ancient Demon known only as Asura. To put it simply, this Curse is less magic in its own right, instead of acting as more of a conceptual rejection of magic itself. While under the effect of this Curse, Argus' body is surrounded by a field of this Curse energy that repels magical energies and influences from him. This gives him a heightened resilience to direct assault by magical energy attacks as the Curse seeks to negate the incoming attack entirely though at his current level of ability, complete negation is not possible. This negation often has immense destructive potential as the combined energy produced by this reaction explodes outward. Offensively, the Nameless Curse can be infused into objects and structures, oftentimes creating a delayed explosion of sizeable force due to the nature of the world being soaked in even minute magical energies. While inert objects like rocks, trees, and dirt explode, items with a more active magical current(magical items, mages, living creatures) will experience a much more controlled but painful sensation of corrosion upon the area of infusion. This corrosion will continue to burn away at the area affected and while not too serious at first, leaving such wounds untreated will lead to loss of feeling, greying of the skin, weakening of magical ability, loss of muscle control, and eventually, acute necrosis as the area becomes slowly devoid of magical energy. For most mages, treating this in the early stages is easy enough to do by simply focusing their magic into the area and essentially forcing the curse out through force of will. If allowed to progress to the state of greying skin, however, then treatment becomes a lot more difficult and requires the attendance of a trained professional. He always has a friendly smile on his face, is never one for a rude or uncouth word in casual conversation, and often shows every person he comes across a fair level of respect as is required. But he never opens up about his past experiences, never speaks of his home or his past, and never seems to inquire into the dealings of any of his guildmates beyond a superficial showing of interest. While always eager to assist others in their day to day tasks, it is clear that the man works to keep a certain level of emotional distance between himself and everyone around him. That is not to say the mask never slips, however, as, despite his usual demeanor as a calm and world-weary traveler, he has a side to himself that is both fierce and exploitative that only truly shows itself in a fight or a spar. In these fights, the mask cracks from time to time, through looks of frustration or elation, they chip away to show a man who feels a great sense of joy when engaged in battle. However, after every fight, no matter the outcome, this trueness is replaced by shame, self-loathing, and finally repression of everything he felt.[/sub]
Appearance
[sub]Silver Wolf is a tall man with a somewhat imposing stature, dressed often in the garb of his homeland despite his distance from it. His pale silver-white hair ends in tips of dark black and often tied up in some sort of bun or knot to keep out of the way, as it is against the custom of his home to cut one's hair. Not only that, but it is clear to anyone who knows the man that he spends a vast amount of time caring for his personal aesthetics. His hair shines with a sheen that speaks to the hours spent combing, washing, and otherwise caring for it that he does, and that is to say nothing for the rest of his appearance as he keeps a wide array of cosmetics on his person at all times. Beneath this mane, however, is a face that seems to be the epitome of 'dignified warmth'. He is never unfriendly or unkind in his expressions, but he is never that open either. There is always a bit of a guarded nature to his features, a mask that he has not let drop even an inch around any of his fellow guild members. In terms of his common choice in clothing, it tends towards the muted but still somewhat showy colors and decorations. Golds, Whites, and greens make up a common pattern, with a fine metal hairpiece to hold his hair in place when it comes to more formal or official meetings. He dresses in loose-fitting robes and Gi consisting of simple fabrics when on the road or in the casual day to day, but dresses in an outfit of the finest silks, decorated with a scene of a white wolf descending from the Mountains along the back when a situation calls for decorum. Silver Wolf doesn't talk much about his past to the members of Dragon Fang, only that he was cast out in exile due to a mistake in his youth. He does not tell them of how he was once the Crown Prince and heir of the Gilded Wolf Dynasty, how he has traveled for over half his life in search of some measure of redemption from the evil he believes to haunt his soul. It took quite a while before he felt comfortable revealing his status as a slayer, as his preference for using the more upright techniques of the royal Martial Art does well to hide it. In his home country, where he was once known as The Reverential Heir of Earth and Sky, it is believed that to be a member of the Royal family is to be a descendant of the great God De Shen, the Gilded Wolf who crafted the Earth. But also, that you may become seduced by the corruption which brought the great god low, the twisting spirit of Hēi Láng stalking in the shadows in order to corrupt those poor fools who seek power at any cost. So it was for Yin when a group of assassins attacked the Palace and tried to take the life of his father. The Black one appeared before him, and he called out for its powers to save his father. And so he did. . . but he was no longer a pure son of de Shen. he had proven himself to be as corruptible as the eminent od and thus, not worthy of the right to rule. And so Silver Wolf has walked the world in shame and exile, searching for some way to rid himself of the taint or, if not that. . . then some way to redeem his honor in the eyes of the Heavens.
Magic:
Earth God Slayer(The Defiled Earth Enlightenment Technique): The forbidden technique that cost Silver Wolf his position as heir, he naturally does not spend much time actually investing in learning how to further master it, even after many years of travel. Through the channeling of his Chi into the earth and his own body, he can reinforce his body with the power of the Earth to his strength and durability while changing the color of his skin to an obsidian black in color. Not only that but he proves highly resistant to lightning while he is touching the ground, both natural and magical. Conversely, Silver Wolf may also store this power into this second skin, causing it to crackle with electrical energy that he may release in response to being struck or through the Cracked Wolf Fang. Defensively, Silver Wolf is capable of forming blackened constructs in mere moments, simple walls and spires of blackened earth that serve to further increase his defensive ability, and give him the ability to protect others as well. When mixed with the Path of De Shen techniques, it allows him to remain a mobile tank of a fighter who controls the battlefield and his opponents both with the skills of his martial prowess. Offensively, he has not done much to feed the 'Hēi Láng', much to its passive disappointment. The most he has deemed to master is summoning from the earth the Cracked Wolf Fang, a rugged spear formed of black earth that serves as his main offensive weapon. While not much to look at, it proves to be a sturdy and reliable weapon whose lethality he can control with a thought, the edge of its long blade turning from dull as a brick to sharp enough to cut a man who just grazes his skin against it. If he was more willing to delve into its secrets, it would undoubtedly make a fearsome tool of destruction, but that is a path fraught with temptations he is not strong enough to resist. Also, just like any other Slayer art, Silver Wolf is able to consume his element to refill his own magical reserve. However, unlike most slayers, this does not need to be a physical consumption of the element to work. He can also leech the Chi from the earth at his feet and that he comes into direct contact with, though this causes a dark tinge to spread through the affected earth that leaves it barren, infertile, and inedible for him or any other Earth-type slayer. The Path of the De Shén: An ancient style passed down through the ages by members of the Royal family, the Path of De Shen is said to have been a gift to the first emperor by the mighty Divine being before he left to ascend to the heavens as the king of the gods. It is through the will of De Shen that Chi flows through the earth, and through this Style, one can tap into this power and force their will upon it. In practice, The Path of De Shen is a mixture of Martial Art and powerful magic that emphasizes powerful strikes, surprising bursts of speed, and precise awareness of how to utilize one's environment. This magic creates a constant link between Silver Wolf and the earth beneath his feet, facilitated by meditation, wellness of body, wellness of mind, and proper breathing technique to regulate the flow of Chi. With this connection, the wielder is able to manipulate the energy of both his environment and his opponent. More plainly, this magic allows the wielder to control the earth in small, but noticeable ways without having to focus much direct attention into creating them, as well as apply certain effects in theme with the element of earth to his opponents through his connection. These usually involve some kind of slowing or stiffness of the limbs, slowing of the subject's magical flow, and even the ability to agitate the target into a more single-minded focus to the bane of all else. A skilled enough practioner of the Path of De Shen can also mimic the attractive nature of the Earth, bending the energies of certain kinds of magic so that no matter their intended target, they twist in the air to strike at the unbending stance of the wielder. At his current level of mastery, he can only direct electrical attacks towards himself, but every day he practices to manipulate other forms of elemental magic in a similar fashion. Chi Manipulation: A common practice from his homeland, it is a form of restorative and meditative art that aligns the energies of the body along their meridians. Common methods of manipulating one's chi often make use of acupuncture, massage therapy, the burning/inhalation of certain burning herbs and incense, as well as the ingestion of mystical brews. The exact effectiveness of anyu method is up to debate amongst many who se it, but for one who only dabbles their feet into the profession like Silver Wolf, the act of manipulating chi through the subtle applications of force along the proper points and meridians in the body is the safest and most worth learning. By focusing magic into his own body or into that of a willing patient, Silver Wolf is able to ease pain, slow bleeding, hold back the effects of poison or disease, speed up one's natural ability to heal(if only a little bit), and even increase the flow of magic throughout one's body to give them a temporary boost in their effectiveness. This ability also flows into his combat ability as well, as he can read the chi of his opponents through their connection with the earth, giving him an enhanced sense of awareness. Whether it be predicting the moves of his opponent or detecting the presence of hidden threats, this technique proves very useful no matter the situation.
Strengths and Weakness:

Confidence:
Well-educated and Well-Traveled
Tactical Mind:
Stubborn to a Fault
Holds a Grudge
Superstitious

Miscs :
Anything else you might wanna add to flesh out the details a bit

Sheet credited to Buddha(slight edits taken from Sanguine rose).
