Name: Jasmine Lockwood Age: 18 Birthday: 26/11, x876 Magic: Water Dragon Slayer
The magic allows the user to take on the characteristics and abilities of a dragon. In this case, a water dragon. A more detailed list of the abilities includes being able to heal themselves and others, purify water, swim at high speeds, and be able to ‘breath’ underwater, though their real specialty lies in buffing their allies. Like all Dragon Slayer’s they are able to ‘eat’ (or in this case, ‘drink’)’ their respective element to regain their magical power. The consumption of polluted/corrupted water, however, has the opposite effect and in some cases is life-threatening. With her unique circumstances, she can be referred to as a ‘6th’ generation dragon slayer. As such, her magic is regulated by Ryujin to make it stronger, weaker, or simply cut it off entirely. The dragon spirit is also capable of forcefully activating Dragon Force, however, the toll it takes on the Slayer, both magical and physically speaking, makes it a last resort trump card. Basic Spells: Water Dragon’s Roar: Jasmine shoots out a ‘spiral’ of water from her mouth, akin to that of a water twister. Water Dragon’s Jetstream: Jasmine coats herself in a veil of water and is able to travel at high speeds, attacking like a living battering ram. Can also act as armor or used to move around very quickly underwater. Water Dragons Cannon: By focusing and condensing her magic into a fist-sized sphere of water, she is able to launch it at high speeds for results that would replicate that of being hit by a magically powered cannonball. Water Dragon’s Vicious Vortex: The spell forms a swirling mass of water around the caster/target, similar to a whirlpool Water Dragon’s Crashing Waterfall: This is used to increase the destructive force of Jasmine’s punches, kicks, etc by coating whichever limb/body part is currently in use with water Water Dragons Cascading Waterfall: A flowing combo from Crashing Waterfall that can number up to, unless interrupted, nine consecutive blows, generally almost ending in a kick Water Dragon’s Healing Cocoon: Coats either herself or a target(s) in a layer of water that rejuvenates the body. Water Dragon’s Tortoise Shell: Creates a sphere of water that is used to repel or stop attacks Water Dragons Purifying Touch: Similar to Cocoon, and can be used in tandem, by coating the target(s) in water Jasmine is able to draw out any impurities, i.e. poison and the like. Water Dragons Scalding Geyser: By slamming her hands on the ground, she is able to create and channel superheated water that is near boiling point, or beyond, to suddenly erupt out of the ground and engulf an opponent(s) in a particular spot. Heated: A simple spell that simply increases the heat of her water, usually used in a combo with one of her other spells to scald or burn her opponent. Frigid: The opposite to Heated, this simple spell cools her water, without freezing it. Coursing River: Blesses allies with the swiftness of a running stream, enhancing their speed and agility temporarily Swelling Waters: Enhances an allies offensive prowess, both magically and physically Watery Embrace: Enhances an ally's defensive capabilities by coating them in a thin layer of magical water armor, allowing them to take more hits from magical and physical attacks alike. Also with the added bonus of them being able to temporarily be able to breathe underwater for a set amount of time Unseen Current: Water thickens the air and pulls at the target(s) making it more difficult for the target(s) to move and stay upright. This can even affect the ability to cast magic, and at the very least slows the target(s) down Water's Creeping Pull: The caster touches the chest/back of the target. Target experiences a draining feeling, both physically and magically. It leaves the target weakened, and can even make an already weak target pass out. Lapping Waves: This spell has the ability to lull target(s) to sleep, but more readily just makes them put down their guard and more peaceful. Targets swear they hear the calming sound of waves lapping on the shore, wafting smells of being near a or river, and some even say they can see the motion of the water. Secret Arts: Liquidation: Used to turn people or objects into a liquid, depending on the stage used Stage I: By forming a bubble through intense concentrating, the user flings it towards the target at incredible speed. Upon impact, the target will rapidly begin to turn into a liquid state. Despite how it may sound, this isn’t actually an attack but instead acts more like a sealing spell and it can be dispelled by either the caster or of powerful dispelling magic or mage. In which case, the target will slowly revert from their liquid state back to normal. Stage II: A larger-scale version of the spell, it instead causes a large magical circle to appear on the ground. Any projectile of any kind caught within range of the spell is immediately turned into a harmless pool of water on the ground Ryujins Wrath: By placing both her palms on the intended target, which can include herself, Jasmine is able to effectively allow the target to ‘surpass their limits’, though it comes at a physical, magical and mental cost proportional to the boost. The target can also lose control of their own power and effectively go ‘berserk’, so careful consideration must be made before casting. Dual Element: Not yet unlocked
Magic Level: A History:
Jasmine was raised as an only child of a merchant couple, such was her belief up until the events before Tenrou Island when her sealed away magic resurfaced. As did her memories of life before, and perhaps an insight as well into her ‘parents’ death during the GmG. Jasmine was the only surviving test subject in a group’s attempts to make their own dragon slayer; one whose power would surpass that of any slayer before them, or even the dragons themselves. Having survived the gruelling series of tests put before her, she had a special lacrima surgically placed inside of her and since then has had the company of her ‘father’, Ryujin Stormwater, to mentor and filter her powers from within. However her young and frail body could hardly take such powerful, foreign magic and the experiment was doomed to fail. She was to be disposed of and have Ryujin taken. But, instead, a man had caught wind of this experiment and taken it upon himself to bring it crashing down. In the chaos from the fight that erupted, Jasmine was rescued by this man and the people behind it all were either killed, went MIA or turned into the council. The man never told anyone about the girl he rescued, having instead spoken with Ryujin and between the two of them they went about sealing her magic and memories away. It just so happened a merchant couple had just lost their young daughter and happened upon the man with Jasmine, the man entrusting Jasmine to the couple who raised her as their own up until their demise during the GMG. During which, Jasmine came across a curious duo that proceeded to turn her into a sword, though later being ‘rescued’ when the duo came across James, Cody and Levi and the transformation broke before them. Shortly thereafter with the help of Penny she tracked down and remembered what happened to her parents, burying them before, with no where else to go and wanting to repay the favor of being saved, joining Phoenix Wing, though as someone with no magic at the time and no talent for learning any, she mostly just tended to the bar and other such things. While the rest of the majority of the guild prepared to depart for Tenrou, a curious incident with Ethel triggered the seal on her magic to suddenly break, leaving the distressed girl in the care of Penny who she accompanied upon a job to deal with an outbreak of Hane-Sakaa in a nearby town with neither girl originally planning on going to Tenrou. It was only a chance meeting their two later exceed partners, Iggy and Rajah, that swayed Penny to leaving, hearing from Iggy that there were dragons on the Island and her guild was in danger. Not wanting to let Penny go alone, Jasmine accompanied her, as did the exceeds, soon they wrapped up their job to go to Tenrou where upon arrival and verifying Iggy’s story they almost immediately initiated a fight with a seemingly wounded Iron Dragon, later revealed to be Gajeel Ironfox, before it could go and attack the others, who were busy with their own dragon problems. Though during the fight, a moment of hesitation from the younger girl seemingly cost the older Penny her life as she took the brunt of an attack meant for Jasmine. Overcome with adrenaline and rage, Jasmine continued to fight against the Iron Dragon until Penny’s sudden and dramatic revival; completing her descendant as a Phoenix. With a unison raid, the two at least temporarily defeated the Iron Dragon before joining up with the others just as Zeref made his entrance, teaming up with the others in unleashing their most powerful attacks to help break Zeref’s control over the Dragons and eventual defeat. With such a sudden and overwhelming amount of magic used in a short span of time, her body not used to the rigours of slayer magic after it’s slumber, she spent much of the boat trip home sleeping after having passed out just as Zeref was defeated. During the two years that have passed since, she has officially joined the guild’s rank as a wizard, participated in a Slayer Bootcamp, completed her own solo job, and undergone her own tutelage under Ryujin.
Personality: Jasmine is a kind and gentle individual, one who is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need even at her own detriment. While having many fears, she isn’t as easily scared as she once was and is more than capable of putting them aside when a situation is dire. She’s always looking to improve, whether it be getting over her many fears, with her magic or even something as mundane as sweeping the guildhall floors. She has a preference for choosing trying diplomacy and peaceful methods as her first options, believing violence shouldn’t be the answer and should only be used if absolutely deemed necessary. She is rather gullible and naive due to her belief that even the wickedest, evilest person has good somewhere within them, and without someone else besides her can be somewhat easily fooled. She has always had a love for magic, whether it be talking about, reading about or watching others perform their magic, despite her own reluctance at first to accept her own, and upon meeting new people can come off as very...overwhelming in her declaration to see their magic, a stark contrast to her otherwise quieter nature. She is also known to be easily distracted by magic she hasn’t seen before or magic that particularly catches her interest. Guild and guild mark location: Phoenix Wing, gold on the back of her left hand Team Members: Rajah Three Strengths: 1. Easy to get along with 2. Very good at sewing/embroidery 3. Financial Abilities Three Weaknesses: 1. Doesn’t take much to knock her confidence 2. Gullible/naive 3. Her curiosity of magic can get the better of her Greatest Love: Magic, she absolutely adores magic Motivation: To be of use to her guild Appearance: Additional Details: Left-handed She is always seen wearing a small amulet adorned with a sapphire around her neck When she talks to Ryujin, to others it seems like she’s talking to herself Jasmine stands at the ever intimidating height of 5'1
Name: Rajah Personality: [s]A true douchebag[/s] Rajah takes haughty to the extreme, seeming to hold the view that the world revolves around them and thus can, and will, order anyone around in any way she deems fit, with the view that everyone else is nothing more than her servants. Of course, when people rightfully tell the young exceed to stop being such a little shit she will unleash a torrent of abuse and childish name-calling. Despite her small stature and beyond weak powers, she isn't afraid to get up in people's faces during this torrent of abuse. Also has a terrible 'potty mouth' to put it politely, and will try to use her cuteness to try and get out of whatever trouble she inevitably finds herself in, with very mixed results. As one would assume, he is a wise dragon, though one still unattached to most lives bar that of his current 'host' Jasmine Lockwood and the daughter of his old time friend, Penny Hoffman. He typically plays the part of the sagely fatherly teacher figure for Jasmine, especially helpful thanks to his mental and overall connection with the girl.
Character Relations:
Nolan Waltz: Is absolutely terrified beyond belief of, to the point she doesn’t want to be in the same room as him Has a healthy amount of respect and admiration for James Avelane and Cody Bloodstein for their part in her rescue and subsequent joining of the guild, often training with the latter Penny Hoffman: Looks up to as almost an older sister figure, confiding in the older girl and always seeming more confident in her presence Amaya Van Isis: Being fellow Dragon Slayers, Jasmine shows her due respect to the senior female slayer, often going to the older girl for advice on her magic and just generally having a friendly, amicable relationship Rajah: Despite how many might perceive their relationship as doomed to fail, Jasmine holds an incredibly soft spot for the little exceed, often defending her outbursts, finding the little exceed adorable. Ryujin: Zero: Zanaram: Hunter: Damian Gerald: Roseletta Griffonbane: Joshua: Ariel Gratas: Brianna Lyffobelt: D’angelo Schultz: Trinity Stratos: Neil Yoska: Markovis Pendergast: Belius: Nadia:

Name: Cody Bloodstein Age: 19 Birthday: 12/12, x875 Magic: Absolute Defense
A form of defensive magic passed down from one user to the other in the form of a magic grimoire, each with the aim to take it to a level above the previous owner. The book is enchanted with an unknown spell that only allows the current wielder to be able to read and understand the contents, and even then it’s written almost in a strange code to the wielder, to anyone else it’s just a blank and empty tome. The tome itself is unremarkable in appearance, only the size of a normal novel and leatherbound. The only thing that really stands out is words ‘Absolute Defense’ boldly embroidered in bright gold lettering. Despite its small stature, even during the 9 years the book has been in Cody’s care, he has yet to fully understand or learn all of its contents. What Cody has been able to gleam however is that while the magic predominantly revolves around defensive spells, obviously, namely barriers. On a basic level, the user is able to create a barrier anywhere within his field of vision almost instantaneously, the strength of which varies based on the experience of the user, their concentration and how much time they are given to create said barrier. A barrier made in the heat of the moment paling in comparison to one given an hour to create for example. The size of the barrier can also be vastly increased given the time, where-as the ones Cody is able to summon upon a whim are more the size of Kite shields, or tower shields if he really exerts himself, where-as with time, patience and a large chunk of magic, he would be capable of creating one to defend an entire city. While the creation of barriers may seem limited, what really makes Absolute Defense shine is the ability for the user to manipulate the properties of their barriers. Properties being what exactly the barrier does and is made out of, and in tandem with Magia, Cody’s list of properties is enlarged further. Currently the properties he is able to create are as follows: Standard: Stock standard physical barrier Rubber: The barrier becomes harder to use blunt force to break through, more flexible and able to also slingshot attacks back the way they came. Bouncer: Attacks that hit this barrier are caused to bounce off of it and lose most of their force, for melee attacks causing a jarring feeling upon contact Elemental: By absorbing residual elemental attacks using Magia, Cody is able to create barriers such as a flaming barrier, a ice barrier, etc, each one with their own unique effect such as burn for fire, harder for iron, etc. With more training his goal is to be able to do this without the aid of Magia by utilising the elements around him, or utilising the elements of those he meets. -Elemental: Holy: After training with his mentor, James Avanlane, for the majority of the two year skip, Cody is able to add the holy/divine property to his barriers. Besides acting as a particularly useful flashlight, due to it glowing with divine energy when produced, it’s also used to help ward off ‘evil’ beings, spirits and the like Springboard: A shield imbued with a similar property to Bouncer, but this one when hit creates a force of energy that pushes things back. Can also be used to launch things about 10 feet in a direction with a hastily created shield, or with more planning about to 100 feet. Rock-Solid: A thicker barrier which is particularly useful against piercing or slashing attacks Multi-Layered: As the name suggests, he is able to create multiple barriers atop of one another. While it’s far easier to stack multiple with the same property, Cody is able to stack ones with different properties to try and gain the desired combination. At the moment, he is able to stack 3 of a single type of barrier atop another, or 2 different ones. Later Properties: Sticky: His shields become coated in a thick, gooey substance that catches attacks. Weapons or even fists/limbs can get stuck when striking a barrier imbued with this property. Spiked: A normal barrier, but spikier. Thorns: Upon first glance, it appears as a normal barrier, however upon striking the barrier, whomever is attacking it is suddenly struck down by a pain equal to a ⅕ of the power of their attack originally. Reflection: While useless against melee or melee weapon based attacks, a barrier imbued with this property can reflect a energy based, or most projectile attacks, back at the way it came. Refraction: Sharpened: Makes the barriers sharper Absorbtion: Only able to use on ranged beam or energy based attacks, this property does exactly as one might expect; it absorbs a certain amount of an attack. How much of the attack the shield can absorb is based on a combination of the strength of the attack, it’s caster and how much magical energy Cody uses on the shield. Deflection: Similar to the reflection property, though rather than be redirected towards the caster, this property redirects an attack off to the side. Mix&Match: Not a property persay, but more once this stage has been achieved, Cody will be able to combine multiple properties into one barrier. Concentration: The ability to make smaller, far more concentrated barriers upon fixated points, or simply making barriers stronger in one spot than the rest. Other later spells include: Absolute Territory Absolute Armour Absolute Fortress
Holy Magic: Light of the Protector
Although a novice, through his training over the last couple of years with James, Cody was able to obtain his own brand of Holy magic to compliment his barrier magic and swordplay. While mostly inexperienced with this magic, more using it in tandem with his Absolute Defence for additional effects and combos, or infusing his sword strikes with divine energy, he is able to do a few more generic holy magic spells. Spells: Flash: A brief flash of light erupts from Magia, or any item Cody is holding at the time, helping to blind a foe. Holy Slash: By imbuing Magia with holy energy, he is able to increase the strength and power of his attacks. Particularly useful against Stabilizing Touch: Requiring Cody to keep his concentration and hands on an ally, he is able to keep even those on death's door alive. Though at this stage he is yet to be able to heal their wounds, it’s useful to stall for time till a proper healer can make their way over. Marked: With a touch, Cody is able to place a magical ‘marker’ on a target. Anyone with said Marker will feel a magical inclination to attack Cody, even if he wasn’t their target, allowing him to draw foes off his allies. He is also able to track their movements while within a 25 meter radius of him.
Magia Blade:
A holder magic sword that Cody purchased in Crocus during the GmG. A rather plain looking longsword, it has 5 runes separately etched across the entirety of the sword. Each one has a separate effect and, when in use, glows brightly in a different colour. Multiple runes can be used at a time Ruby: A rune engraved upon the hilt. When activated, it glows a dark ruby red and allows the sword to return to it’s designated owner Sapphire: A rune engraved upon the crossguard. If the blade becomes shattered/broken, then this rune will light up as a sapphire blue and the sword will become whole with time, quickened if the owner sacrifices some of their magic power. Topaz: A rune engraved upon the blade itself, though closer to the crossguard. When in use, a soft topaz gold colour is emitted and it allows the user to save some residual magic from an opponent's attack to add to their own. Emerald: A rune engraved near the tip of the blade. Upon activation, it’ll begin releasing a soft emerald green coloured light, allowing the user to use the sword as a throwing weapon, becoming more weighted like a dagger. Amethyst: Engraved across the ‘back’ of the crossguard, this rune works in that the brightness of the amethyst light it emits changes while in use. Though it’s use is far more trivial than the others, being that it glows brighter when pointed in the direction of the owner's designation/target, or lighter if not. It does not work if the ‘target’ at hand is a person though.
Magic Level: B History:
With his earliest memories being raised in an orphanage, Cody has never met nor even know who his real parents were. The only thing he was ever able to gleam from the orphanage was that his parents died in an accident and he had been placed in their care by the appropriate authorities. At least until he was 8, when he was adopted by a wealthy family known as the Bloodstein’s, who raised him to never use violence as the answer to anything and let him run around the mansion pretty much as he pleased. Despite this freedom, which he was unused to, to explore the mansion, he instead found he loved their extensive library and spent most of his days there reading. Whether it was fantastical stories of grand adventurer, children’s story and picture books, he even began to read some tomes on the history of Fiore, of magic and even those of the family’s bloodline. Eventually after a couple of years living at the mansion, during one of his reading sessions he came across a curious little book, no bigger than a journal, bound with leather and clipped shut, looking rather worse for wear. Time had not seemed to treat the book well, yet Cody still unclipped the book, though at first was puzzled by the seemingly blank pages. Puzzled even more when strange symbols seemed to just...appear. All he had done was blink, and suddenly every page was covered in these unknown symbols. Putting the strange book back, it wouldn’t be long before he would find himself drawn back to it. As if under the influence of an invisible force, he couldn’t help but open the strange book once more. And again. And again. Every day for about a year he would find himself drawn back to the book, soon beginning to get a grasp on how to read it. Though much to his confusion, when he brought this book to his foster parents to ask about it, they would just ask him why he brought them a blank journal. Though it was also because of this they were more than happy to let him keep it. In secret the young Cody soon began to realise that the books contents spoke of a rare, lost magic which he would soon begin to practice. It was hard at first, especially so seeing as he would do so in private and completely self taught. He would sneak out at night, to a grove in the middle of the nearby woods and just drain himself of every last bit of magic and concentration he could squeeze out of himself before heading home. It became easier as time went on and he began to not only get the hang of his newfound powers, but also began to decrypt more and more of the journal. While he had yet to learn the identity of the writer, he had at least learned that this tome would only reveal its contents to one who it deemed ‘worthy’, though the criteria behind meeting this worthiness was unknown to him. All while this was going on behind closed doors and out of sight of his foster parents, he would continue to blossom and grow from their loving nurture and care. While they were probably guilty of doting on him too much, they seemed more than happy to so long as it made the young boy happy. Whether it was more books for him to indulge in, or the day they took him to a play on the events of Zeref and his wicked dragons that tried to destroy Fiore a century ago. Though they were protective of him, perhaps overly so, so he rarely got to meet anyone his own age, instead being home schooled by tutors hand picked by his guardians to further his education how they saw fit. Eventually though his foster parents caught him in the act of his magic casting, when he instinctively used it to protect a household servant from a falling pile of books at the age of 15. Fearing punishment, he fled to the woods despite his parents pleas to stay and talk. This would be the last time he saw them alive. It was a dark, starless night that fateful day as he slowly trudged back, afraid of the punishment he would receive. He wasn’t even sure what they would be madder about, his ability to use magic, his secret training of the magic, or the fact he ran away. Though the combination of the three would surely weigh on his mind. An eerily quietness was all that greeted him however, a sinking feeling settling in on the boy as he felt a sense of dread overcome him. What happened next...Cody doesn’t like to recall. The household servants, their demise gruesome and cruel. His parents? He was unable to protect them despite his best attempts. And during the struggle that ensued when the attackers tried to capture, or kill he wasn’t sure, the teenager, the mansion caught ablaze. Cody never escaped the blaze, only barely surviving due to sheer willpower and his last remaining ounce of magical energy. But by then, what he would later find out was a dark guild that had attacked the mansion were long gone, obviously believing he had perished in the inferno. And perhaps he may still yet have perished, if not for the good folks of a nearby town. The Bloodsteins had always been good to the town, eager to do trade with them and helping fund any projects, so when the sheer quantity of smoke had began to envelop the area, they had rallied a group to go to their aid...but they arrived too late, except to help the remaining survivor in Cody. Once Cody recovered, he thanked the townsfolk and soon vanished, leaving behind the majority of the remaining assets of the family. They weren’t his to keep from his view, he wasn’t of the Bloodstein’s flesh and blood. He was sure his parents would rest easy knowing that he used the majority of it to pay back the town for saving him, only keeping a small portion of his own to be able to get by for awhile. For the next two years, he would travel around Fiore. Honing his magic all the while, he soon began to come across more and more mages, who he would go to to gleam whatever trade secrets he could of the craft of magic, anything to help him grow stronger. Though it took a longer for him to recover mentally from the ordeal, keeping himself away from others for the most part, unless it was to do a odd job for cash or a mage for advice, in fear of growing too close to them and suffering the fate of those at the mansion if the dark guild ever caught wind of his survival. It wasn’t until he had a close encounter with some bandits that he realised that his own methods of self teaching his magic could take him so far. Reluctantly, he headed to Crocus upon word spreading of the return of the Grand Magic Games. More so to suss out which guild would fit right to join to help advance his use of magic, though in hindsight there was only one that would ever catch his eye….Phoenix Wing. He had heard of the rambunctious guild during his travels, of the various rumours that began to spread about them and the gossip that accompanied with a guild on the rise. Not all were exactly positive, but upon reaching Crocus and meeting a few of the members, he had finally come to his decision. Well, the first meeting with some of those members was rather rocky...he had been passing by when a fight had broken out between two girls, Marlene and Ariel, and he had thrown himself in between them as it was obvious that Ariel had little interest in fighting. Once a couple more members intervened and got Marlene to calm down, he would return with them to the hotel to become a member proper. This was also the first time he met his future mentor, known to him at the time as James Hunt. A lot would happen to Cody in a short frame of time from then on. He would meet Amaya Van Isis, almost immediately falling for her, would nearly die...twice in two days as he finally clashed with the dark guild from his past, Shadow Heart, as they at first came for the grimoire for Absolute Defence, and then later Amaya for her slayer magic. He would also become a target for a particular wizard from that dark guild, Nidhogg, who had taken an interest in him. He would also save Jasmine Lockwood, along with James and a man by the name of Levi, from the grasps of a...moth and butterfly person? He would also become the pupil to James, be targeted once more by a Shadow Heart member looking to manipulate his overwhelmed mental state and come to grips with his own powerlessness to stop any of this from happening. All in the space of 3 or 4 days. The next couple of months by comparison were an absolute cakewalk. Despite the harsh training he would undergo with James, both physically, mentally and magically pushing him to his limits, he wouldn’t give in. Though he was plagued by constant nightmares during this, he didn’t let it get to him as once he felt he was ready, he took a quest for him and James to go on to test his progress while the others went to Tenrou. It was during this quest that Cody would confront James about some of his problems, his inner demons of his fear of failing to protect those who he holds dear, and his confusion over his feelings for Amaya. With a clearer mind after their little heart to heart, Cody would accompany James on his return to his parents to continue his training with a new found purpose/goal in mind. He would become strong enough to protect Amaya and be worthy of being by her side, deciding not to see her until that time came. Upon his return to the guild-hall, he was confronted by Ethel Storm, who seemed convinced that he was her long lost half-brother, despite also claiming to have never met him prior. Her only arguments being that he physically reminded her of her father, and a gut feeling. Though Cody keeps refuting the claim, he would begin to grow fond of the younger girl as she would visit him and tend to him after his training with James. It was only until about a month or so ago that he finally felt comfortable enough with his progress to finally confront Amaya, though it was more a swearing of fealty to protect her as her shield rather than a proper confession. It would also spell the end to the most part of his apprenticeship under James, though he would continue to spar with the older man and catch up with his mentor for advice or just a chat whenever he could.
Personality: Studious and hard-working, Cody always looks to give everything he does his all. Whether it be protecting someone with his magic, learning something new or simply trying to help someone carry a pile of heavy books up a flight of stairs, Cody is always looking to help. A strong stubborn streak and a constant strive for improvement is what drives Cody, a deep rooted fear of failure helping in that regard as he never wants to let alone else down again. Despite his best efforts to emulate the cool nature of his mentor James, Cody is still very much susceptible to impulsive, often idiotic, moments which can land himself in dangerous situations, especially if those he cares about are in danger themselves. Often, he will interfere or stick his nose where it doesn’t belong, having to suffer the consequences. Although every now and again, he can hear a dark voice inside his head, whispering sweet temptations which he ignores for the best part, though he is completely unaware of what causes these little episodes. Joshua: While he holds a certain amount of respect for Joshua, he doesn't like him though for what reason he can't quite explain why. Though perhaps it's more accurate to say they're rivals rather than allies. Cecilia: Seems to be on surprisingly amicable terms with the exceed, who seems to have taken a liking to sit on his head, not that Cody minds much. James Avelane: His mentor and perhaps the person he respects most outside of Jamie or Jarvis. He feels like he owes James a debt that cannot be repayed through normal means, having forged a very close bond with him during their time together and would help the older man at the drop of a hat if he asked. Ethel Storm: Despite his continuous refutes at her claims of being her older half-brother, he seems to have taken a liking to the younger girl and humors her little story now. She is also capable of regenerating from wounds or even lost limbs, at the cost of a sufficient amount of magical energy and over time according with the wounds inflicted, or just reattaching the lost limbs or even manipulating them still if they’re within a few meters of her. Though the main purpose of her magic seems to be manipulating it to become various elements, generally things she has come into contact with and as such only has a limited range she can transform into it. Much like a take over magic, she is able to do a partial transformation or a full body transformation. While she is able to sustain injuries that would normally be fatal or outright kill others and continue to fight, thus making her seem ‘invincible’ or ‘immortal’ to others, they will severly hamper her ability to do so, and if she sustains enough damage will retreat inside the lacrima core which she forms her body around to try and protect what little magic she may have left. The lacrima core essentially also doubles as a device to help her control the vast ethernano her body is made up of, helping her reign in her magic when it goes beserk. Though if her lacrima core were to ever be broken, no one is actually aware of how it will effect her well-being, though one can only assume it won’t be for the better. When in her elemental states, she is typically just given generic manipulation abilities over the elements her body creates, for the most part unable to control the elements around her without exerting a large amount of magical power. And compared to a ‘normal’ mage of the same element, she seems to lack the same punch to her magic. She is also only able to use up to a third of her immense magical reserves safely, due to the sheet amount she needs to maintain her form and keep her mental state intact. Anymore than 50% and her ability to regenerate is gone, and anymore than 60% will cause her body to start breaking apart/fade away into nothingness, and she’ll be forced to retreat to her core or face fading away from existence. Elements Obtained (Scales from Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Mastered in terms of control): Rock (Intermediate), Earth (Novice), Fire (Intermediate), Wind (Advanced), Water (Beginner), Metallic (Beginner), Ash (Novice), Lightning (Novice), Crystal (Intermediate) and Ice (Advanced) Later potential gains: Magma/Lava, Bone, Plant/Nature, Poison/Acid, Smoke, Mud, Sand, Snow, Blood or Plasma? Maybe more gas or liquid states? Slime? Potential Advances in her magic: Shapeshifting Dual or more elemental form Ability to learn other forms of magic? Being able to create copies of herself Draining/Being able to receive magic from others? Or perhaps being able to use her magical reserves to power up her allies by giving them a magic boost
Requip: She knows basic Requip magic, though more to store items than much else. Magic Level: A History:
Ethel’s past is fragmented ever since she gained her magic, with parts of it out of order or missing entirely. Her confusion over her own background is only confounded further by the addition of Ariel’s memories. But from what Ethel can claim to be her memories, she is the daughter of a wealthy merchant woman and an ex-soldier of the Fiore army, born as the 2nd child and youngest daughter to the happily married couple. However, soon after she was born, her mother found out about an 'affair' her father had had 2 years or so prior, after going to a party with some old friends of his and drinking way too much. He ended up sleeping with a friend's daughter, and thus Ethel now had an older half brother, and her mother subsequently filed for divorce. However, during the process, her mother and older sister feel deathly ill. Still madly devoted to his soon to be ex-wife, her father pleaded with several medical wizards and doctors to help cure her. None could help, and with nowhere else to turn to he went to the nearby church for help. After being told to leave his wife and sick daughter at the church since their healer wasn't going to be back till the next day and this would allow him to see them as soon as he got back, he returned the next day to the heartbreaking news they had passed away during the night shortly before the church healer returned. Grief-stricken her father took the then three-year-old Ethel and traveled Fiore in search of her half-brother and his mother. He searched fruitlessly for years only to find out that the mother had passed away years ago and her son had been put into a nearby orphanage. However, by the time he arrived, he was too late. The son had already been adopted and the orphanage, with the father having no proof to the claim that he was the boy's biological parent, refused to tell him who adopted him. This was when Ethel was nine and soon after her father began to train her to use weapons using his military training, because at this stage he was rather crazy and decided that the best way to protect Ethel was to train her to protect herself. And the sooner she started, the better right? After being put through a few years of vigorous training she eventually became somewhat skilled with daggers, shortswords and short bows, though due to her petite frame her father had only been training her with light weapons as anything much heavier was out of the question. It was when Ethel turned 14 that things began to get really fuzzy. She can’t recall the exact details, or rather subconsciously doesn’t want to, but all she can recall is that she was given a book as a present from her father...and then the next thing she knew, a man by the name of Sora Kaze had sealed her rampant magical powers having come across the girl in her berserk, newly-formed magically malformed body. Upon further study of the book revealed an odd, curious curse that the mage wasn’t familiar with, one that had turned Ethel’s body into almost entirely ethernano, though as the years went on she soon eventually became entirely magic. After Ethel explained what happened Sora offered to help her find her father, however once they returned back to the camp Ethel and her father had made. Although upon arrival, her father was nowhere to be seen. All they could find was a box of important papers with leads on her brother and a letter from an old friend of her father. The contents of the letter stated that the church they had gone to for help seemed to have lied about her sister's death as he had seen a girl the spitting image of her mother when she was young on a wanted poster, under the name Shiro Hime. Upon learning this new information she went out to search for her brother, sister, and father. Not wanting to leave the young girl by herself Sora appointed himself her guardian and introduced her to Mai and Jess, his traveling companions. The four of them decided to search for her family on the agreement that she would become Sora's apprentice. This would go on for 2 years, the latter year finally hunting the dark mage down only for her to escape and deny any claims of Ethel being her sister. The Shadow Heart mage even cut Ethel down at one point, shocked when she began to slowly put herself back together again only to flee before she could. Eventually, their hunt brought them to Crocus during the Grand Magic Games, after Sora heard some interesting rumors that the two Shadow Heart members would be in the vicinity for some reason. This was where she acquired Chu from a traveling mage by the name of Verick, before shortly meeting Cody Bloodstein for the first time. Curious about his physical resemblance to her father, she never really got the chance to investigate it further as they chased after her sister who had escaped the city after being taken down by some Phoenix Wing mages. It wouldn’t be for another couple of months, as the thought of Cody continued to weigh on her mind, that she eventually convinced Sora to take her to Phoenix Wing to confront the older boy to learn more. The wind mage would agree, though upon arrival, their group was separated, and by the time Sora found Ethel, it was already too late. She had met Ariel and subsequently merged with the living lacrima girl. Though with the aid of Jarvis and his own sealing magic, they were able to separate the two. While Ariel went to Tenrou, Ethel instead found herself recovering at Phoenix Wing’s guildhall. Though when she came to, no one was at the guildhall, and with a fuzzy mind, she eventually found herself at Nolan Waltz house. After Sora came to an agreement with Nolan, she was left in his care as a fellow Phoenix Wing mage, after Sora had talked to Jarvis about the prospect of the girl joining Phoenix Wing for her own protection if nothing else. It would be about another year before she would be able to confront Cody, though much like Shiro before him, Cody also denied the claims to their sibling connection, despite Ethel’s insistence that he physically resembled her father too much for it to be a coincidence. As such she has spent most of her time either with Nolan, Ariel or Cody, generally floating between the three for various reasons. Not that she has neglected her training though, taking any chance she can get to practice her magic, learn how to better control it, and spar with anyone who’ll take her on.
Personality: Ethel is an aloof and apathetic individual for the most part, despite her best attempts to understand others she ultimately falls short on most occasions. While it’s strange to describe it as such, Ethel’s emotional responses can come off as more ‘reactive’ than natural; or, rather than seemingly having emotions of her own, she seems to take in the emotions of those around her and react accordingly, rarely displaying anything different to those around her. She’s also surprisingly reckless, and somewhat selfless, in how she goes about things with very little concern for her own personal safety, especially in a fight. Does someone have a sword? She’ll let them stab her so that she can snap the blade. Someone’s shooting at one of her friends? She’ll gladly take the bullet without hesitation. Booby-trapped room? She’ll charge in ahead and take whatever punishment it dishes out to clear the path. Taking both of those above, her reactions to most situations tend to come in rather unconventional ways, which others find off-putting or weird. Sometimes even as idiotic or completely insane. There also seems to be little consistency or reason for some of the actions she may take, especially those taken out of curiosity. This can sometimes be put down to her apathetic nature or simply because she can be unaware of the potential consequences of actions taken. Her strongest traits, however, are possibly her seemingly single-minded, possessive and overprotective nature of those few she has managed to form any significant bond with. Perhaps it’s because she finds it so hard to connect with others, that those who manage to do manage to form such a strong bond. Can be overwhelmed by emotions at times, leading to mental breakdown/shutdown or sudden outbursts as she finds the emotions strange and unnerving. Unpredictable reactions Three Weaknesses: 1. Cookies. She absolutely loves cookies, and as such can be used to bribe and/or distract her. 2. Her magic power is very slow to recharge by itself due to the sheer amount she needs, mostly regaining magic from absorbing ethernano in the atmosphere around her or being given it via outside sources 3. Ethel is 4’11 Ethel owns a dagger that has a magical gem attached to store additional ethernano that used to belong to her father She also owns a magical cloak which is enchanted to withstand powerful magical attacks and helps hide her presence from others. Due to her immense magical presence, she is almost always wearing this. Chu: https://i.imgur.com/LwZ12rG.jpg While it is unnecessary for her to do so, she is able to eat, sleep and drink like any normal person, though she is able to go without doing any of the above for days on end, her mind can still grow weary and she’ll have to rest at one point. The grimoire in question is still in Ethel's possession, though she rarely ever produces it even if asked. A strange sensation always coming over her whenever it's out, so she prefers to keep it hidden away in her Requip space She owns a bag of broken/crushed up lacrima, which she carries around and munches on like rock candy to help quicken her magical energy recovery. As well as any potions that Neil might concoct for her to have/test Is able to form clothes of her own through her magic, though unable to create clothes for anyone else Character Relations:
Ariel Gratas: Ethel feels a very strong connection to the older girl, perhaps as a byproduct of their temporary merge and subsequent sharing of one anothers memories. Otherwise, Ariel is like the older sister she always wanted. Nolan Waltz: Mixed feelings about Nolan, mostly to the confusion between her memories and Ariel. Regardless, he’s like an older brother to her, though her constant causing of trouble causes him nothing but grief. Amaya Van Isis: She doesn’t seem to like the older girl much, seeing as Cody is more fixated on her than entertaining the thought of believing Ethel’s claims. But it isn’t like she dislikes the girl entirely either though, just more annoyed with her. Jasmine Lockwood: Another one she doesn’t seem to care much for, though if Jasmine is around, it means that Rajah isn’t far behind so she tolerates Jasmine at least. Rajah: Much to Rajah’s chagrin, Ethel is very fond of her cute and fluffy form Joshua: Doesn’t care much for him Cecilia: Loves Cecilia as much as she does anything soft and fluffy James Avelane: Finds the Paladin to be funny and cool Zero: Zanaram: Hunter: Damian Gerald: Penny Hoffman: Roseletta Griffonbane: Brianna Lyffobelt: D’angelo Schultz: Trinity Stratos: Neil Yoska: Markovis Pendergast: Belius: Jamie: Jarvis:

Name: Ashlyn Johnson Age: 21 Birthday: 30/05, X873 Magic: Queen of the Flame A unique type of fire magic that Ash taught herself, making her able to create and manipulate fire to her will with just a spark from her fingers, though she is also able to use flames from the environment around her. This can range from making flaming arrows to basic fireballs to even coating herself with fire to protect against attacks. Though her fighting style more relies on enhancing her kicks and punches with the destructive force that fire brings. Furthermore, she has an extremely high resistance to fire magic and the like. Unless her Hellflames are active, only fire magic of her strength or higher can noticeably hurt her. She is also capable of diverting flames weaker than her own away from herself. However with all the destructive force she is able to generate, Ash struggles to contain it, meaning potential allies should be wary of being caught in the splash zone. Notable spells of the magic include: Blazing Strikes: By channeling her magic into her specifically made gloves or boots, she is able to ignite them to add more destructive power to her blows. Cremation: She encases her target inside a ring of fire hot enough to turn them to ash within a minute. Napalm Hammer: By generating and condensing heat around her fist for ten seconds, when she brings it down upon her foe she unleashes all the pent up energy, erupting the surrounding area with heat and flames before setting off another explosion upon making contact. Hellfire Mode: She can replace her usual fire with the flames of hell. These flames are far stronger than her usual flames, turning a brilliant shining blue and burning nearly all that they touch. They also consume magic at a vastly faster rate and can cause her to overheat at an equally fast rate. Blazedrive: A passive ability she has which increases her abilities the more 'heated' she's become. It is behind her unusually high body temperature and dehydration problems. However, if she becomes overheated she must either send out a wave of heat (and thus 'reset') or if she can't, then she'll overheat and collapse before she can die. Vesta’s Fiery Wrath: Her ultimate spell that could be viewed as an upgrade of Heat Drive. By channelling the heat gathered within her into a focused point, she can unleash it in one devastating attack that doesn’t even need to collect her opponent as it’s also accompanied by a wave of heat and flames. When overused she tends to 'overheat' and become dehydrated, but usually to the point of passing out before it becomes deadly. Potential developments: White Flames, Golden Flames, More ranged options, whatever the hell else I plan on wanting to do Magic Level: A History: Prior to joining Dragon Fang, Ash was a member of the now-disbanded Frenzy Plant and a former dark mage from the dark guild Shadow Heart. Ash is the youngest of three children, having had one older brother, Kendrick, and one older sister, Lilith. For the most part, she grew up relatively peacefully with little issues, till the eventful day that changed everything. Lilith, having awakened to her magic in secret, murdered their parents and brother in cold blood before Ash’s eyes, and Ash no doubt would’ve been added to that list if she hadn’t awakened to her own magic at that moment, burning down the family home in the ensuing chaos. From the outside, it just looked like the house had burnt down in a tragic accident. When Ash next awoke, she and her sister had already been taken in by Georgie, who also lay claim to stepping in and stopping Lilith from killing the unconscious younger girl. From that moment onwards, Ash found herself in Pyro’s care while she would scarcely see her sister, though on the odd times she did it typically ended with having to pry the two from each other lest they kill one another. Despite Pyro’s best attempts, he could never really get Ash to learn proper control over her magic, though Georgie didn’t seem to mind much as her power continued to grow at an alarming rate. She was a member for ten years before suddenly departing the guild after becoming the youngest S-Class, a record she had stolen from her rather annoyed fellow S-Class in Maxie Firestore. Though the circumstances before her abrupt departure remain a mystery even to her former guildmates, she would soon find her way to Crocus for the Grand Magic Games a year later and join the now-defunct Frenzy Plant. She was only a member for a couple of months before their just as sudden disbanding following the events of Tenrou Island, which she had participated in when they fought the Dragons, but much like many of her fellow mages found herself next to useless in the fights that followed. After Frenzy Plant's disbandment, instead of immediately joining a new guild, she went and trained for a year in the wilderness. Her involvement in Tenrou had left a bitter taste in her mouth, devoting that year to getting stronger through Spartan-like training. Tenrou had left another lasting impression on the girl, however, or rather a certain individual she had seen. Jack Goran. A fire mage who no doubt had strength from his rare lost God Slayer magic, but was also by far the strongest fire mage-no, the strongest mage she had ever met. She had devoted this training to try and get herself to a stage she felt comfortable challenging the man to learn the source of his strength-what made his flames burn so brilliantly. The result was obvious. Her absolute, utter defeat. Though she would just come back the next day. And the next. No matter how many times she tried for 2 weeks, the result was the same.. Eventually, she would join the guild, determined to learn from the man, and she’s settled in just fine, quickly building a reputation for becoming someone to spar with. Personality: True to the nature of her magic, Ash is wild and unpredictable. Boorish and quick to a point, Ash voices her thoughts without regard. She prefers to allow her instincts to guide her actions rather than logic or thought and as such can be impulsive or reckless at times. Always up for a challenge, she constantly looks for new or exciting things to do. The more difficult they may be, the better in her eyes. At that same time, she tends to bore quickly as well and shows very little interest in most things. She has difficulty in controlling her emotions, as such, she can go over the top, especially given her spiteful nature against those who have garnered her wrath. As one might expect from an ex-dark wizard, she has a darker side to her as well. At times of excitement, generally when in a fiery encounter of some kind, she can show glimpses of enjoyment when inflicting pain on others. She has a fascination with fire and watching things burn, whether they be objects or animals. Once worked up, she finds it difficult to suppress these destructive urges. These urges almost always will be at their peak when she fights other fire mages, wanting to prove her flames to be stronger undermining her struggles. After her subsequent beatdown at the hands of Jack, Ash has often pondered what it is she stands for, what exactly it is she fights so desperately to protect or attain and joined Dragon Fang to hopefully find the answer to that question. Guild and guild mark location: Dragon Fang and on her right bicep Team Members: None of this moment, but open to them Three Strengths: -Sharp instincts/Fast Reflexes, so very good at playing the knife game -Sensational on a bbq -Physically strong even without her magic Three Weaknesses: -Destruction and her are like mentos and coke, fun to watch but a pain to clean up after -Water. She avoids it like the plague, for if she gets wet she cannot cast her magic. -Impulsive. Sometimes acting on ones instincts isn’t a great idea Greatest Love: Meat. And lots of it. While Manami is capable of separating the two, she is unable to manipulate water unless she has placed holy magic inside of it first, thus making the waterside much weaker. Spells: Generate Holy: By touching a body/container/etc of water, she can enchant it with holy energy to manipulate. Obviously, the larger the amount of water, the more time and magical energy are required to enchant it fully. Ranging from a vial taking a minute, to a lake possibly taking weeks. Once enchanted with the holy element she can manipulate it as she pleases Generate Holy Water: In the case, she doesn’t have any on hand, she can sacrifice her magic power to create her own, though it’s not as cost-efficient as enchanting water, it’s useful for on the fly fighting. Storage: She can store her holy water within her own body for various usages. Calming Waves: By touching a target, Manami can soothe their soul and mind, often used for calming down hysterical or panicked allies, but also useful for restoring one's mental state, though it seems to cost her her own mental state the more she uses the spell. Radiant Torrent: By condensing her water into a ball, she can fire super-pressurized blasts of water out of it. Holy Blades: A dozen blades made of holy water appear around Manami Water Body: She can turn her body into holy water for brief moments in time, usually as a form of transportation from one location to the other. Healing Grace: At a touch, Manami can heal most minor wounds, or at least close most wounds. Though to heal the more major wounds requires time spent inside her holy water. Churning Waves: The polar opposite to Calming Waves, she can deteriorate one's mental state or cast a state of confusion over one's mind by creating an insignia on her target's body using her magic. Cannon: She can send out a concentrated blast of holy water from an outstretched hand Holy Body: By absorbing the holy element from her water, she can forcibly power up her body, obtaining a soft glow and an enhancement to her overall durability and attacks, though it seems to come at a mental and physical toll. Angels Armour: Similar to Holy Body, but instead of a power-up is simply coating her body in a layer of holy energy to protect against attacks. Bubble Shield: To protect against attacks, she forms a bubble of holy water against either herself or her target. Cursed Water: While her waters were meant for healing and soothing others, the tainted nature of it gave birth to this ability. Using this, she can do one of the following effects of her choosing: weakening her target, causing a sense of dread to overcome them, her target will start to hallucinate and see their greatest fear, slowly lose magical power as time wears on, slow her target or take more damage from her or her allies attacks Wrath of Gabriel: Currently Manami’s most powerful spell. She is filled with insatiable wrath and seems to become deranged as she absorbs the very essence of her magic, giving her a massive spike in power though at a mental and massive magical cost, stopping at nothing to bring down whoever her target is. More to be added as time passes or I decide to add/they’re approved Magic Level: A History: Manami was raised in a church on the outskirts of Fiore by her father after her mother died during childbirth. The head priest, he also ran the church which doubled as an orphanage, taking in children from all over Fiore and even beyond, preaching their church was a place for those with nothing to be a haven. Naturally, this proved to be false as her father and other higher-ranking members had not only been gathering orphans to sacrifice for a ritual but also had other...dubious methods of gathering sacrifices. For within this seemingly normal church was a twisted dogma. A cult dedicated to stopping the ‘evil slayers from once more wreaking havoc upon Fiore’. From a young age, Manami was indoctrinated to this perverted belief. Raised with the impression that she was born with the sole purpose of stopping their destructive and wicked ways, that the only way she was to stop these monsters was to become a monster herself, for god would show favor towards his champion even if she were to commit atrocities to defeat the slayers. Her family bloodline had always been blessed with a connection to the Arch-Angel Gabriel, however, for the past 3 generations, none had been born with the ability to use what had been their signature Water Saint Magic, her father distraught when Manami also proved unable to learn it. Which was what drove him to gather the sacrifices needed to fuel the ritual to force the magic to awaken from its slumber within Manami. Though the ritual would be counted as a success, it still didn’t give the results the man craved, though perhaps it was because of the survival of a lone sacrifice, who would later be named Shiro and paired as Manami’s partner, or Manami waking up before the ritual could be completed he had theorized but could never quite pin what had gone wrong. Manami, with the benefit of hindsight, would be able to now. With her newly awakened powers, Manami’s education would only be increased, adding on a curriculum that would aid in mastering her powers and using it to banish evil and defeat the ‘evil’ slayers once and for all. Even when she found out the reality of how she had gained her power, by this point in her life she had been well and truly morphed into an arrogant, self-righteous monster like her father had been rearing her up to become, though much to his horror she would turn her power against the church. Unable to allow the sin of killing young children, even for a ‘just cause’, go unpunished, she arrogantly denounced her father and set about killing every last member of the church, no matter their place in the schemes her father had concocted or their role, or lack thereof, in the ritual from years past. Well, all members bar Shiro, who would return from errands to find the church set ablaze and everyone inside murdered by none other than Manami herself. Soon after this event, Shadow Heart’s master, Georgie, came and personally scouted Manami to join the guild, which was where Manami’s sins would only become worse and worse. Despite being a member of what was clearly a dark guild, she still retained her self-righteous behavior, selective of the missions she undertook and killing without mercy if someone strayed from what she believed to be a just path. Typically, she would only kill other dark mages, corrupt individuals, or other criminal like individuals, but she would also kill anyone who bore witness to such crimes under Georgies orders, even killing innocents at times if she deemed it to be in the best interests of her path forward. During the events of the GMG, her bloodstained path would clash with the Paladin James from Phoenix Wing as she tried to take advantage of so many slayers in one place to exact her purpose and kill as many as she could. Though her first attempt, on Dragon Fangs Hunter, was a miserable affair, she chalked it down to her own overconfidence on the matter, and upon trying again, this time on Phoenix Wings Amaya, was when she finally crossed paths with James. After some back and forth, a battle was inevitable. With Shiro engaging other members of Phoenix Wing, Manami decided to personally put the paladin down herself, though quickly become increasingly frustrated and frantic as the battle wore on. What proved to be James final blow on the young lady would prove to be the most significant moment in her life, forced to relive every atrocity she had ever committed in the name of justice, but most importantly, breaking the warped delusional reality that her father had painstakingly forced upon her. Though she and Shiro were captured, they were later freed by Nidhogg, though since that moment Manami was never the same. Unable to bear the weight of her sins, she fell into a spiral of disbelief and hesitation, unsure what was real and what wasn’t. During this time, she was ambushed by Ash and a few members of Frenzy Plant, easily overpowered despite Shiro’s frantic attempts to protect her, and captured again. This time proving to be the final straw for Georgie, who would send the S-class Maxie Firestorm to break her and Shiro out, only for the man to try and kill them. During the ensuing battle, the shellshocked Manami would only survive due to Shiro’s quick-thinking in aiding their escape, though Shiro was gravely wounded and would later lose the ability to use her left eye. Healing Shiro would be her last use of magic for nearly a year as the duo remained on the run from both the council, light guilds, and Shadow Heart. With her life has proven to be nothing but a lie until now, she would eventually find her way to the Silverbranch Glade, home to the witch coven that made up the majority of Wolven Pyre, where they have resided since. A few months ago, after having made contact with Priscilla and the coven, Manami and Shiro are currently ‘probationary’ members of the fledgling guild. Personality: The guilt of her previous affiliation with Shadow Heart and her actions taken while a member of the Dark Guild seems to have taken its toll on the young woman. While on the outside, her typically gentle and kind demeanor remains, her usual confident and self-righteous behavior has been replaced with self-doubt, becoming overly critical of her own actions, or lack thereof. From the outside, she’s still the same kind-hearted, polite, and elegant individual that she used to portray herself as however there's also this...disconnection. A real struggle to make a meaningful connection with anyone bar Shiro, cursing her own ineptitude as her sins weigh heavily on her mind. Despite being a mere shell of her previous self, she has begun to liven up a little bit since finding her way to Wolven Pyre, even though she worries what would happen if they were to find out about her past. She has also grown to detest her magic, preferring to not ever have to use it unless absolutely needed. The most noteworthy ones being some severe disfiguration around her left thigh and a smaller scar near her belly button Manami’s height is 5’9

Name: Shiro Age: 23 Birthday: 15/08, x871 Magic: Enhancement Curse A byproduct of the ritual she survived, she gained this magic by taking in some of the life-forces of those sacrificed, allowing her to survive and turning her hair white in the process. While it gives her access to a variety of abilities, generally around the general manipulation of the ethernano in her own body, the more powerful ones chip away at her sanity during a fight, causing her personality to twist and her actions to become more deranged, erratic and dangerous to enemies and allies alike with usage. Her spells/abilities include: Blink: Similar to teleportation, but it’s more a series of small leaps with small delays in between each leap. The larger the distance, the longer the delay between each jump. Generally speaking, 10m’s or less is around a 3-10 second delay. She is also unable to attack immediately after a jump. Enhancement: Channels magic to increase her physical strength, speed, and durability. Can also enhance objects to be used as weapons or weapons durability in general. It works on a percentage value in terms of how much enhancement she gives herself or the objects in question, burning through more magic the more % she uses. After passing 75%, she’ll begin to become erratic, the speed of which increases the more she uses and the longer she uses. Iron Skin: A branch off of the enhancement, she can temporarily harden her skin to protect against an attack. Destructive Force: Another branch off from enhancement, she can focus a large amount of power into one of her blows, capable of causing a small impact crater or leveling a building depending on how long she gets to charge. Camouflage: She can blend into her surroundings, typically more in shadows or places with ill lighting or in dense forage, and makes it harder to find her, also hiding her magical presence, any killing intent, or just her physical presence in general. Unable to hide her scent, and if she wishes to attack her presence will once more be able to be sensed. She is also able to extend this to as many people as she can touch, though extended use is unadvised. Spear of the Archangel: Her most powerful combat ability, by building up momentum she can generate an incredible amount of force, the more momentum causing more damage. Though in exchange, the more power the blow, the more it affects her mental state. Return Serve: While activated, any damage that Shiro takes she can harness, storing it up till she decides to unleash it back in a powerful physical blow at three times the amount of damage she has taken. It does not nullify the damage she has taken, and the more damage she takes the greater the mental toll. Limit Release: Shiro’s last-ditch trump card, once activated Shiro’s enhancement magic is cranked up to 110%, her mental state taking the appropriate toll, and her physical abilities are pushed beyond their limit for five minutes. More to come as time passes Magic Level: B History: Shiro has no memories before the ritual that granted Manami her magic, the trauma taking its toll in many ways. The only thing she knew from that young age was that she had been chosen by ‘god’ himself to serve Manami, as evident by her survival. And as such, she was raised to be Manami’s hand-maiden, friend, and partner whenever she had to do a task. She would serve Manami, and the church, for 7 years till she was sent away by Manami on an errand. Thinking nothing of it, she was shocked upon her return to find the church ablaze, and Manami in a hysterical fit, covered in blood and wounds. Taking Manami away to try and calm her down, soon after they were approached by Georgie to join Shadow Heart. Despite Shiro’s protests, Manami accepted the offer, and Shiro followed suit. Her time with Shadow Heart has since been spent serving by Manami’s side, often dispatching people she deemed to be scum or people that Manami felt conflicted about, all while Manami was left unaware. She also dispatched anyone she deemed to be a threat to her mistress. Sometime during this, a mysterious girl approached her and Manami during one of their missions. Her name was Ethel, and she claimed to be Shiro’s sister. Initially laughing it off, it was only once Ethel persisted with following them on that claim did Shiro decide enough was enough and struck the girl down. Only, much to both their shocks, Ethel not only survived, but her wound was slowly fixing itself up, a fight soon ensuing between the two dark mages and Ethel’s companions, forcing Shiro and Manami to retreat. She would continue to be ‘hunted’ down by Ethel, much to her annoyance, having to go to great lengths to avoid the younger girl. It wasn’t until the GMG, when she was traveling beside Manami, that that conflict finally reached a boiling point. After having been dispatched by the Dragon Slayer, Hunter, she and Manami soon found themselves fighting against a fair chunk of the guild Phoenix Wing, along with Ethel who had hunted her down. After their capture and subsequent escape, she and Manami were captured once more by Ash and some Frenzy Plant mages. Upon their transfer into the custody of Dragon Fang, they were freed by Maxie Firestorm, only for Shiro to quickly realize he wasn’t here to free them; but to shut them up. In the ensuing battle, Manami was quickly overwhelmed, saved by Shiro’s quick thinking in getting to her mistresses side and going to Blink Away, but in the process she took a heavy hit to the face, going on to lose the use of her left eye though she pushed on through the pain to escape with Manami. She collapsed soon after they reached safety, only finding out the true extent of the damage she had taken when she woke up the next day. The duo then spent the next year on the rub from not only Shadow Heart, but the council and light guilds they encountered, even if they weren’t looking for them, they couldn’t afford a misstep. Eventually, their journey took them to the Silverbranch Glade, home to the witch coven that made up the majority of Wolven Pyre, where they have resided since. A few months ago, after having made contact with Priscilla and the coven, Manami and Shiro are currently ‘probationary’ members of the fledgling guild. Personality: To sum up Shiro in one word would simply be ‘blithe’. And that’s simply how the young lady acts, often giving people the cold shoulder if she’s ever approached, being fully capable of ignoring people for hours. Her most obvious trait however is her undying loyalty to Manami, doing whatever the older woman says to the point some people believe that Shiro simply lacks a mind of her own, incapable of action without Manami. While this is true to an extent, it is simply because she trusts Manami’s judgment and respects her dearly, doing the same to anyone else who earns her respect, though it’s no mean feat. She can be rather sharp-tongued and hostile at times, often showing disdain for other's actions, but that is simply her own way of showing concern. Though she speaks in a polite tone, her words and actions more often than not contrast it. With extended use of her magic, she becomes more erratic, short-tempered, and dangerous. Her mind becomes more and more deranged as the voices get louder. Guild and guild mark location: Wolven Pyre, blue and on her left shoulder Team Members: Manami Three Strengths: 1. Is trained in hand to hand combat, and can overpower those who would normally be stronger than the girl 2. A fantastic chief, having learned how to serve Manami better. In fact, just a great maid in general. 3. A fantastic poker face, making her hard to read Three Weaknesses: 1. Constant use of her magic can lead to undesirable circumstances 2. Half-blind, she only has use of one of her eyes 3. Manami Greatest Love: Serving Manami Motivation: To find answers about her past and to help Manami through her ‘slump’ Appearance: Additional Details: Shiro has a severely disfigured left eye and has lost most of her vision in it, as such she tends to hide it out of sight behind not only her hair but also covers it with an eyepatch that has an animated insignia of a flowing river. She also owns one that has a flickering candle, a shining star, and a glowing full moon and will occasionally alternate between them. Shiro is 5’7
