Any device that scans our technology must remain with us, and you must not be able to access data from it. There is no way I will be able to get approval for its use otherwise. No amount of cooperation is going to make the Rothian people any less protective over our technology’s designs, no doubt as you expected.”

Almost as soon as Marae finished speaking, Nirann chimed in as well. “And if it would upset you to lose your scanning device or your harness, I can just scan yours and fabricate a new one for us.
