[b]Background:[/b] Alan grew up in the big city with his father raising him on his own, his father is the owner of a small but popular bistro specializing in pasta dishes and the like. Alan and his father Douglas both love Normal-type Pokémon, Douglas's Pokémon is a Meowth that he's had since he inherited the bistro from his father who passed away 18 years ago.
Alan had become a trainer at age 11 which was a little early even for most trainers, but Alan never ventured father than a kilometer from the city. He never went to a Pokécenter nor was his first Pokémon gifted to him, he met his first just outside the walls of the city. The Pokémon was a Minncino and it had gotten itself stuck in a ditch filled with trash and it was caught on a piece of litter. It took a while to calm the Pokémon but Alan eventually got the poor Minncino to stop panicking. Alan took the Minncino to the local pokécenter to get the little grey rodent healed, soon though Alan became fast friends with the Minncino and became it's trainer.
