[@kingkonrad] Would a plasma cannon-type heavy weapon be too far future for this campaign? Specifically, one that would have a backpack power unit connected via beefy cables to the cannon, which would use some sorta magnetic field BS to turn a metal slug into a bolt of plasma and huck the whole thing at a target?  Slow firing with a brief charge-up period, and hitting with devastating effects
