EDIT: in your Bruce App, you never specifically state that Bruce was an only child, leaving it POSSIBLE that Thomas and Martha could have had another child. The Park Row killing by Cyrus Gold and Joe Chill is a great catalyst and emotional trigger. Plus it would be interesting to see a partnership between Thomas and Bruce that slowly devolves due to opposing views on how to save Gotham.
