Name: Penny MacArthur Age: 20 Gender: Female Appearance: Penny stands about 5’4” tall and weighs around 95 lbs. She has shoulder length hair colored light brown. She has amber colored eyes. Her hair is pushed around tufts of feathers that pokes from the top of either side of her hair reminiscent of owl ear tufts. She has a thin frame where it doesn’t look like she has much muscle mass but she is not frail. She has pale skin. She does not have any tattoos or piercings. She wears simple silver or gold chains around her neck. She wears modest female attire usually short or long sleave blouses, skirt and leggings, and flats. Despite that, she is not picky and has no problem changing into combat attire or wearing boots. She prefers them to all be light weight though. Personality: She is a very shy person, who has a hard time communicating with others. Despite that she has a very kind heart and is willing to help anyone in need. She is a follower and not a leader. If given a leadership position she will become flustered. She tries her hardest with any task given, and like the Sunderers and what they do to protect. She has a fear of talking with others, and will often try to speak up, but will stop herself. To compensate for that as well as help her with other tasks, she has a floating metallic ball no bigger than a base ball called Gyro. Gyro speaks in Penny’s stead, linked by a neural connection via a pair of ear buds. It has limited artificial intelligence where it speaks for someone rather than speak as someone as well as come up with ideas. It does not make its own decisions, nor act against Penny’s wishes. Backstory: Penny was the youngest of three kids. She had an older brother named Timothy and an older sister named Madeline. Her father, named Henry, worked as a small-time gun smith with a contract from the Sunderers. He didn’t mass produce the weaponry but rather he was allowed limited access to recovered technology to invent new weaponry to see their effectiveness against the robots. He worked hard and was able to be a supplier for sunderer fire arms. His work had a more traditional aspect of fire arms, but he had a certain touch when it came to incorporating sunderers powers into the weapons so that they complimented each other. Penny’s older sister, Madeline, grew up and joined the Sunderers, while her brother, Timothy, decided to study under Henry and to carry on the business. Penny from birth was always wary of other people, even her own family. Though she was able to get over her fear with the help of her family, she maintained a dislike for actually communicating. So that is when Henry gave her Gyro. It was a bulky tank on treads the size of a dishwasher, but its presence helped her socialize with others. At least the ones who weren’t scared, or put off by the large machine following her. After about a decade, Gyro was redesigned, Penny started working around the shop, Madeline was rising the ranks, and Timothy was still learning engineering. Penny didn’t interact with customers, or the Sunderers as she worked around the shop. She mainly helped clean the floor and equipment. She didn’t like the business aspect of the work, but she loved testing out her father’s newest creations, at least within reason. More often than not, she was testing Timothy’s which failed half the time. With so much practice, she was becoming the golden standard for a weapon’s condition around the shop. Penny was incredibly close with Madeline. Whenever Madeline got to come home on leave, break, whatever reason she was allowed to, they would spend hours talking about her adventures. Penny thought about joining them at one point, but she knew how own fear of other people would hold her back and most likely disqualify her. Madeline would always bring it up, even saying they could work together, but Penny would back away. Madeline teased for it constantly, and was the only person Penny didn’t mind it coming from. When news came back that Madeline was killed fighting one of the weirder robots, it struck Penny the hardest. For days, she was locked in her room. Nothing Henry or Timothy could do could not get her to come out. After about a month of spending most of her time in her room, she came out. She told her father and Timothy that she was going to join the Sunderers. At first, they thought she was still grieving, not thinking it was a good idea, but Penny remained adamant. It was the first either of them saw Penny be so determined. Henry stood from the table and set to work. Once the time came to submit her application, she followed through. As she waited to hear word back, her father presented her with a custom rifle. Despite being made with lighter weight materials, it still had some heft. The receiver was specially designed for Penny’s projections. He told her that he had designed Madeline’s weapon, and he would be damned if he also did not design Penny’s. It was more than just wanting revenge for her sister. Penny wanted to join the Sunderers so that she could do more to protect those she loved. Powers: She has the power of energy projection which she can use offensively or defensively. All energy projects are transparent with a lime green tint. She can create forcefields around herself and others if they are close enough. She can adjust the size, shape, and density of the shields. She can use the energy from her projections to power her equipment so that she can change trajectory, density, number, and shape of her projectiles. Durability and power associated with the above depends on structure, density, and Penny’s mental fortitude. She has exceptional eye sight and hearing. She can see and hear things at a distance most people may not notice. As a result of that, she generally has to turn her head to focus rather than move her eyes. To deal with her sensitive hearing, she has ear buds that help soften sounds that also connect directly with Gyro. Equipment: FMX Furor Custom. A sniper rifle designed to embrace and enhance the energy projections Penny puts into it. Built light weight, with durable casing, it can take the power like a cannon, and allow for easy set up. It is designed to help Penny focus her energy into long range projectiles of varying shapes and uses. Additional info: - Gyro speaks with a low male voice, since it’s at a frequency that does not bother Penny. - Gyro is a floating ball with an indent at the front for a glass blue eye. It has a telescopic eye sight, and decent hearing akin to Penny. It has two retractable wire like appendages that can connect with civilian computer systems (like a USB). It can’t read computers this way, just turns himself into an operator like any other user. - She can barely move her eyes, so when spoken to or is speaking, she will face the person directly. - Penny’s mother died shortly after Penny’s birth due to complications. She didn’t know her.
Half tempted to make a male character and start a harem.
