Kijani stood, loosening her clothing, unbuttoning what she could without becoming indecent. She'd need to be able to move for this. If it worked, she'd have plenty to dodge. She took one calming breath, and her expression went flat as she removed the book from her jacket pocket. Setting aside the jacket on her desk, she headed into the room. She cast a bored glance around the room, briefly looked over Mimic, and leaned against the wall with an expression of pure boredom. Lifting the novel and opening it, she started to read.
