This day was getting weirder by the moment. As her new comrade? flicked her superpower on and off like a switch Mia couldn't help but watch in amazement even as her horns flickered on and off irately like a confused light bulb. Just what the hell was that? Some sort of power amplification technique no doubt. But it was different than any she'd ever seen. Unlike her own kayoken which drew on inner reserves essentially trading endurance for a short term burst of energy this strength seem to come out of nowhere. Was it being absorbed from the environment? Mia sensed nothing change in her surroundings. So that can't be it. Could it be that the power was always there, inside of her, and that this was simply some sort of limit remover or gear change? Certainly possible. Mia had heard of such powers before, and in her own people as well. But she had newer seen anyone actually do it. Or did she? The way the Sayans aura changed as she powered up, the way her ki flickered through the air, even her rising hair all felt so familiar. And yet hard as she might try she could conjure up no memories of ever witnessing such a thing. Or could she? Thing was that whilst she could really not remember oddly enough the very attempt, the very act of trying to identify that familiar feeling made her feel uneasy and uncomfortable, almost as if she was trying to push through something she really shouldn't. She felt the same way when trying to remember the much of this morning actually. Just what the hell happened there? And just how were the two related? These questions needed answering eventually but not today. Still at least the concept was not unknown to her. For long ago her master spoke of such techniques when describing the ancient warlords which once ruled her world. His words echoed in her mind still: "That way lies great power, tiz true. But you must not seek it. For there lies only misery and great evil. So stick to the purity of kayoken and forget about it." "Odd", Mia thought to her self. "This girl didn't look evil." She didn't feel evil either. "Could the old man have been wrong?" Than again, she is a primate that walked upright and could talk so nature and reality were clearly doing something interesting when they made her. Still, if that sort of power was really possible for her to achieve she would have to be careful. For better or worse the old man always proved right in the end...
