Background: Beni is a classic case of a kid overburdened by her parent's ambitions. She grew up excelling at near everything but it was never enough. She took every advanced class she could, took ballroom dancing and piano classes on weekends and was on her high school's academic decathlon, gymnastics, and chess teams. Despite all that it has never really been enough, or at least that is how she has felt and that has caused some level of resentment that thanks to a the mind of teenage girl has manifested itself as an abrasiveness towards almost everyone she encounters that'd give Kurt Russel's surliest of characters run for their money. Since becoming a practical tank of a human capable of actually lifting a tank, in addition to causing her to suddenly shifting her specialty from balance beam to uneven bars on the gymnastics team, that aspect of her personality seems to have been amplified as well.[/center][/hider]

Background: The daughter of a cop, Theresa grew up on action movies and shooting ranges. Though that is not to say she was destined to take that path herself, she had good grades and combined with a volleyball scholarship she got into UCLA and got her undergraduate degree. But by that point she still hadn't found a passion to keep pursuing so she decided she was going to give policing a try. At the Police Academy she blew the other trainees out of the water in practically everything, though that should be expected of a D1 NCAA athlete who was raised by a cop. But she of course didn't tell anyone else that. Naturally she was top of the class when she received her badge and within a year was training to join the SWAT unit. Theresa's rise within the department was meteoric, and unprecedented, and combined with her service record apparently caught the eye of some people in high places. Most recently her Chief was contacted by a CIA agent with instructions to inform Theresa that they want to evaluate her talents for a position on a team that would be tasked with capturing 'empowered criminals'. She was given paid leave to pursue the opportunity, so may as well right?[/center][/hider]
