Sent this to the GMs already, so I'll just have this up for posterity's sake. Here's my original Archer idea.
True Name: Arcas Title(s): Great Hunter of Arcadia, King of the Wild Class: Archer Gender: Male (Bear) Birth and Death Dates: Ancient Greek Mythology Alignment: True Neutral
Motivation for the Holy Grail: Living a life without truly knowing his mother and being unable to recognize her when she made herself apparent to him has filled Arcas with regret. His wish is to hunt together with his mother, without being clouded by illusion. In truth, what Arcas truly desires is to accept and welcome his mother’s embrace, to understand the interpersonal connections that humans close to each other possess. Personality: The strong, silent type. As the first king of Arcadia, Arcas speaks and acts in an expectantly old-fashioned manner. He treats his Master similarly to how he had treated the subjects that he ruled over, as a shepherd who keenly watches over his herd. Due to his circumstances living in the untouched wilds of Arcadia, Arcas has a difficult time coming to an understanding with other humans, especially when it comes to close relationships and feelings of love. Like his mother and father, who both cared for their son but were forced away due to circumstance, Arcas is a distant protector who quietly watches over those under his care. Appearance: i’ll do it later i promise
Equipment: Among the many weapons adorned by Arcadia’s first hunter, none are displayed with as much skill as the Bow and Arrow. As Arcadia’s first hunter, Arcas displays one of the highest masteries with the bow. While his own bow does not possess the special properties of those belonging to Artemis’s favored such as his mother and other notable archers of Arcadia, he does possess a swiftness that surpasses most other bowmen. By firing quickly, Arcas can fill the sky with many arrows resembling a meteor shower from afar. Parameters Strength: C Endurance: B Agility: A+ Mana: C Luck: D
Class Skills: Independent Action: C The ability to act independently from one’s Master and rejecting their magical energy. It is possible to stay in the world for one day without a Master. Despite being a great hunter, Arcas was never truly alone, having the watchful gaze of his father and the distant vigilance of his mother to protect him. Magic Resistance: B Protection against magecraft and magical effects. Cancels spells with three verses or less. It is also difficult to affect the Servant with High Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. As one of the older heroes of Ancient Greece as well as one who had transformed into a Divine Beast, Arcas boasts a high resistance against magic befitting the king of Arcadia. Personal Skills: Beastkind Modification: EX The inherent nature of someone who had been transformed to a beast in life. In Arcas’s case, he was transformed into a bear by his father, Zeus, to prevent the great tragedy of a son killing his own mother before being brought to the heavens as Ursa Minor, the Little Bear. Becoming a top-class Divine Beast of the stars, Arcas possesses the inherent capabilities of the monstrous species. Due to having a heritage of “humans who have transformed into monsters”, Arcas can control his bestial nature somewhat, although overuse can lead to the degradation of his humanity. Divinity: B The measure of one’s aptitude as a Divine Spirit. Arcas was the son of the King of Gods, Zeus, and the mortal huntress, Callisto. Bounty of Arcadia: A The kingdom of Arcadia was an idyllic land of unspoiled nature where man lived in harmony with the natural world. Arcas was its first king, of whom the kingdom was named after, and had brought to the people of Arcadia knowledge of the agricultural arts, as well as bread making and basket weaving. This allows Arcas to harmonize his magical energy with the land, allowing for increased efficiency especially in unspoiled lands. Eye of the Mind (False): B- The intuition and techniques of Arcadia’s greatest hunter as well as the bestial instincts of Ursa Minor. Possesses the refined experience of one of Greece’s first hunters. However there seems to be a blind spot against acts of love or companionship, such as a mother’s embrace or a vampire’s kiss.
Noble Phantasms True Name: Megáli Árktos Title: Seven Arrows of the Big Dipper Rank: B NP Type: Anti-Army Range: 10 ~ 99 Maximum Number of Targets: 700 Description: The protection of Ursa Major, the constellation representing Arcas’s mother, Callisto, who had also transformed into a bear prior to being brought up to the heavens. Meteor arrows that rain incessantly from the "seven stars of the Ursa Major'' in the heavens. Upon invocation, seven consecutive attacks are possible. Celestial motes burning in star fire rain down on the battlefield, flying as fast as a comet. Each strike possesses the power of a singular Anti-Army Noble Phantasm of its own, capable of complete decimation with each strike. While the first strike can be chosen arbitrarily, the remaining attacks converge on the target. Should the target die in the middle of the attack, the remaining attacks are divided between other adversaries at random. A purely destructive attack resembling the ferocity brought forth by the Great Bear of Artemis, a mother bear protecting her cub. True Name: Mikrí Árktos Title: Eternal Effulgent Elysium Rank: A NP Type: Anti-Destruction Range: 0 ~ 99 Maximum Number of Targets: 1000 Description: The protection of Ursa Minor, the constellation representing Arcas himself, as well as his transformation into a bear by his father, Zeus, along with Arcas’s mother, Callisto, who had become Ursa Major. The brightest of Ursa Minor’s stars is Polaris, the North Star, pinned eternally by Hera and used to guide sailors north due to its constant placement in the sky. At the same time, Ursa Minor also points towards Hera’s orchard, where her immortality-granting apples are grown. Carrying the concept of immortality, this Noble Phantasm represents the protection granted to Arcas by his father, replicating his wondrous restoration after being cut to pieces and served to the gods by his grandfather, Lycaon. Once Arcas sustains heavy damage to his body, he becomes suffused in soothing starlight, his body being restored to its “original form,” brought back to the same state as when he was originally summoned. Cleansed of all effects that have once burdened him, negative status effects are burned away as a result of this restoration, including accumulated damage. In other words, healing power is equivalent to his max health + 100. A “time curse” bestowed upon his body by the king of the Greek gods, Arcas is effectively “immortal” due to the effects of this Noble Phantasm. Aside from starving him of magical energy, only massive damage that can burst through even Arcas’s restoration is enough to destroy him outright. Ursa Minor possesses a secret second component, a technique performed by turning the blessing outward. While Arcas is affected by this Noble Phantasm, he can invoke it, allowing the searing starlight to release outward from him, his entire legend encapsulated into the form of a laser beam. Arcas, who had ruled the idyllic bytopia of Arcadia, a civilization of unspoiled nature, and who had brought civilization (agriculture) to Arcadia. In other words, an attack that bestows the concept of Arcadia. Rather than burning others away with starfire, all targets are instead healed by Arcas’s blessing of restoration. Plant life is healed, flowers begin to bloom, and even man-made structures such as buildings are reconstructed, brought forth by Arcadia’s dual nature. A trump card that is used to mend instead of harm, it could be said that such a Noble Phantasm is unfit for those who wish to win the Holy Grail War. Aside from being left at a critical state upon completion of this Noble Phantasm, the blessing (curse) of Zeus would also leave his body, bestowed upon the land.
