She speaks when spoken to, does not butt in when it is not her place and keeps her opinions to herself. Her modesty and humbleness is praised by the court of Cordoba. The perfect woman, the perfect wife, the perfect princess. Leonor puts so much effort and time into acting and looking perfect that she has forgotten who she really is. While she puts up a farce of the perfect daughter for her parents, Leonor could be a stubborn and fiery woman. She may keep her mouth shut in front of the court and her family, but in her mind, she is always judging everyone and everything. From their choice of fashion to the very morals a person holds. Leonor needs to be observant. What else is there to do when she's not allowed to talk? [/sub]

[sub] B I O G R A P H Y [/sub] [sup] ____________________________________________________________________________________[/sup]

[sub] Born to Queen Marisol Soidina and King Arturo Soidina, Leonor was the second child of the royal crown of Cordoba. Named after her grandmother, Leonor was the middle child of three daughters. No boys. Since her conception, Leonor's father had thought she would be a male, the next heir to the throne- but much to his dissapointment, Leonor was born. Her life as the youngest was a short one, as the Queen conceived a few months after her birth. And so, the life as the middle child began. Growing up, Leonor was often left to the nannies and nun for them to care for her. She rarely saw her mother, and even more so her father. She grew up around the priestess of the church while her elder sister stayed at the heels of their father and younger of their mother. Forgotten. Leonor had been forgotten by her own family. She never resented her parents or her sister, as she knew nothing different. Everything about her life had been controlled since her birth. She wasn't able to leave the palace for weeks end, was only allowed to read religious tomes, and her education had been limited to that of a woman's. Basic reading, writing, and art. When Leonor hit her teens, she began to sneak out of her bed chambers late at night and wonder the libraries of her home. She had gotten tired of reading about the Creator and all of his devoted wives and tired of reading the same stories over and over again. And so, she would sneak out and rummage through her father's library. She's spent hours in there and would often sneak out books. Books about other kingdoms, cultures, history, and politics. Little by little, her once closed-off world began to expand. Her interest in the outside world couldn't be satisfied with books after ten years. During her 15th birthday, Leonor was now formally introduced to the Kingdom of Cordoba by both of her parents. It had been the first time the King had acknowledged Leonor. It was a turning point for her. He had finally taken notice of the perfect facade she had been building over the last few years. Since that date, Leonor was allowed to roam freely the palace's libraries and even had permission to venture out for longer periods. The King's Perfect Daughter. That's what they used to call her, that was until her younger sister's 15th birthday. Sol, even more beautiful. Skilled in music, poetry, and art. She was able to charm every man in the court with just a simple smile and bow of her head. Just like that, Leonor was left in the shadows again. A blessing in disguise. Leonor didn't have the Queen breathing down her neck for her to practice the piano or the King pressuring her to learn military formations. No, those were her sister. Instead, Leonor was left to do whatever she pleased, as long as her actions were acceptable by the conservative social norms of Cordoba. She never questioned those social norms. Never gave it much thought. She was raised like that and there was absolutely nothing she could do to change it. She was, after all, just a woman. A Princess nonetheless, she had to set an example for the other women in the court and the Kingdom. Marry a man, have his children, and support him. Just like her mother. The Queen. Shortly after Leonor's 20th birthday, her engagement to a man she had never met was announced. Apparently her older sister, Beatriz, had convinced him that Leonor needed a husband. Leonor wasn't a high-ranking officer in the military, nor was she the Queen's little doll. Leonor was just a wasted opportunity. And so came to be her arranged marriage to Ser Lance. A much older man, about 45 years old, recently widowed. He was one of the wealthiest men in the Kingdom. The union would bring a much-needed supply of money to Cordoba to raise the army. Leonor, unable to voice her feelings or opinion, had no choice but to thank her father for the union. The woman may have birth her, but she did not raise her. Marisol was always distant with Leonor, only visiting her daughter during special occasions such as birthdays or holidays. Leonor didn't resent her mother, only wishes she had spent more time with the woman. After the obvious favoritasim towards the youngest the Queen has shown, Leonor's distaste and resenment towards her has been growing.

● Arturo de Los Rios Soidina, King of Cordoba Leonor was closer to her father than her mother. While she had his attention, he would often recommend her books of poetry for her to read or would take short walks around the gardens with her. He would comment that Leonor was far more pleasant to talk to than Beatriz; perhaps that is why the older sister wanted her out so badly.

● Beatriz Soidina, Princess of Cordoba It's no secret that Beatriz doesn't like her Leonor. Nobody really knows why and it's speculated that it's because of the King. But it is clear as night and day that she doesn't like Leonor. On the other hand, Leonor doesn't mind her older sister. Sure, she may be a bitch, but she is still her family.

● Sol Santos Soidina, Princess of Cordoba The relationship between Leonor and Sol is a shaky one at best. While they both enjoy talking about poetry, music, and art they cannot be together for an extended time. Sol thinks that Leonor is too smart for her own good, and Leonor thinks Sol is too much like her mother. Although, Beatriz has a soft spot for Sol that the youngest isn't afraid to use against Leonor.

[/cell][/row]
