Aki Rosewall
Age: 19 Appearance:

Personality: Aki is a reserved but outgoing girl without any major aspirations. She is a novice to the Megaman franchise and to gaming in general. She has some natural talent for rhythm games, but can't win a first person shooter if her life were on the line. History: Aki graduated high school last year and is working at the local roller skating rink. Although she doesn't make much, she wanted to take a gap year to find herself and discover the right direction in life. She likes the occasional RPG or two on weekday evenings, and having finished Star Force a year ago, Aki wanted to see the line of games that started it all. She decided to dive into Battle Network series out of order (not that anyone could blame her; 2 was thirty dollars and 4 was on sale—besides, it was probably the best game in the series anyway), and is currently looking forward to competing in the in-game Red Sun tournament. When her friend Ashley found out that she was starting the series, she gave Aki her brother's old Protoman Advanced PET; he had grown up since then and probably wouldn't miss it. While she isn't very familiar with Digimon, she loves the Summer Wars anime film and has watched it at least four times over. Other: Aki found a weird purple sword chip on eBay once; she thought it was a bootleg, but decided to buy the chip anyway for the fun of it. She doesn't use it in fear of damaging her new PET.
Ciel.exe
Appearance:

NaviCust: Autoheal, Shield, First Barrier, Tango Personality: Ciel is a loyal, defense-type navi who seeks to protect her operator from harm. Even pending threat of deletion, Ciel refuses to leave a teammate behind. Ciel has a soft spot for viruses and wants to find a way to continue SciLab's work to reprogram them into helpful data rather than malicious. She considers Tango her pet cat and loves him to death. Other: Ciel's default weapon charge is the C-Saber. Once charged, she can briefly summon a green, triangular sword and use it to slash a single enemy. Her navi emblem is a small 3D diamond.
Daniel Rirark
Age: 21 Appearance:

Personality: Daniel is an obsessive recluse and recent university graduate. He can chatter for hours about any of his hobbies to anybody who is willing to stomach the experience, and has burned more than one friendship trying. He has so far been unsuccessful in his efforts toward female courtship (not for lack of trying), but chalks it up to envy of his netbattling skills. Daniel doesn't blame them; after all, if he were to meet someone with such astonishing network prowess, he would be able to reverse engineer the Jealousy chip with nothing but his own emulousness. History: Daniel is a fanatic of the Megaman Battle Network series. He maintains an impressive collection of chips from Battle Network 4 and is regularly scouring wish.com, eBay, and the deep web to complete the set. In addition, he has several thousand cards belonging to the obscure Battle Network trading card game, and enjoys workshopping the meta in Tabletop Simulator. After college, Daniel had obtained a position as a junior developer for the upcoming game Cyber Warriors WX. He specializes in the development of physics engines and has distributed multiple failed Unity projects on itch.io. Recently, he's started learning Unreal Engine 4 and hopes to one day release his own Chrono X-inspired video game, a spiritual successor to Battle Network 6. Daniel is also a moderator of the Battle Network Discord server and regularly sweeps competitive netbattle tournaments. Daniel owns the original battlechip gate, and refuses to play his Japanese-imported copy of Battle Network 4.5 without it; this same battlechip gate happened to fuse with his Omniphone, and he isn't looking forward to dishing out a hundred dollars for another one. At least his four hundred dollar Beast Link Gate was spared. Other: Daniel had never heard of a Digimon before the mirror world, and is easily irritated by the blatant Pokémon X Tamagotchi ripoff. He cannot manage to enter Full Synchro with his navi, irrespective of how hard he tries.
Quest.exe
Appearance:

NaviCust: Bug Stop, Sneak Run, Body Pack, Chip Shuffle Personality: Quest is a combat-oriented navi with a highly customized chip folder. He and his operator rarely see eye to eye, but put up with each other's idiosyncrasies due to their level of synergy in battle. Quest prefers an analytical approach to combat, and has saved his operator more than once from the consequences of his rash decisions. Other: Quest's default charge shot is called Overclock. It allows Quest a few moments of accelerated processing to plan his next move, avoid enemy attacks, or analyze his opponent's strategy. Quest's navi emblem is a question mark embedded into the letter Q.
