Malphas was pleased that he could help the fisherman, but also... [i]insulted.[/i] For saving his livelihood, all Malphas got in return were [i]quarters?![/i] And only five of them, as well. Well, if that's what his work amounted to, then so be it. Smiling and nodding curtly, Malphas stepped away from the fisherman and began his quest to mend his ailing stomach. He had finally settled on the local gathering, the pleasant aroma of a hard day's work fluttering within his nostrils.

Malphas was pleased at this outcome. It seems that the hunters, and perhaps the other hard workers of the village, all gathered together to partake in the spoils of the day. Malphas surely felt like he contributed as well, what from chasing after that fox and retrieving that fish. Perhaps such a meal was truly the reward that awaited him after such a hard day's work! His tummy aching with gleeful anticipation, Malphas approached the feast, prepared do take what was due to him!

However, before he could, a dirtied hand grasped at his wrist. He turned to see a beggar most foul, asking for his hard-earned cash! To think someone, [i]something[/i] of this caliber, would think they're worthy to grasp Malphas's beautiful form? Absolutely disgusting! If they weren't in a place so public, he'd probably recoil in outrage. Instead, his eyebrow was only raised in surprise as he saw this [i]thing[/i] grab at him.

Scoffing uncomfortably, Malphas feigned a smile as he looked upon the begging old woman. Wanting to leave this situation as quickly as possible, Malphas quickly procured about two silver pieces, not bothering to count or separate them, before placing them in the beggar's hands. Hopefully this was enough for her to leave him alone.
