And if they don't, well...then they're dicks. In which case, we'll find a cure ourselves," Waverley chirped as Madalyne began to usher her out of the villa. It was clear that referring to the Roman deities as 'gods' made her uncomfortable, but she recognized her comfort wasn't a priority at the moment. As they stepped out of the building, Waverley tilted her head a little at Maddy's suggestion. "Cohort? Oh, right, my roomies," she commented. Even after spending months at Camp Jupiter, cohort wasn't exactly in her daily vernacular. Waverley followed Madalyne back up to the Senate House. Part of her wanted to continue soothing the girl, but she also understood that she had a lot going on at the moment, and she'd probably prefer spending her time strategizing for the war to come. Besides, plenty of people threw themselves into work as a coping mechanism, and it wasn't that unhealthy. Waverley quietly followed Madalyne into the Senate House, only to be greeted by the grim, unsmiling faces of Team Toga. She stood awkwardly at the door as Madalyne immediately joined in on the military talk. Waverley found herself awkwardly standing in the entrance of the door listening to the conversation, waiting for a lull in the planning to chime in and ask where she was supposed to go. But when Nancy spoke ill of the Greeks, Waves couldn't help but pipe up. In fact, she tried to stop herself, but the words were out of her mouth before she could. "Isn't that a little harsh Nance? I mean...we've never even met them," she chirped up from the entrance, before her eyes went wide, suddenly aware of the attention she'd drawn to herself from likely the sternest people in New Rome. She quickly coughed into her hand, beginning to back up. "Defensive line, right. On my way. Have fun, er, planning for war and stuff. Break a leg," she quickly said, before vamoosing out the door, and setting off to join her cohort.
During the timeskip, Waverley would like to use her singing skill, her guitar skill, and her musical empathy ability to lead Cohort 5 in some shanties and bolster their spirits in preparation for battle.
