Name: Isolde Kin: North Magic: Green Magic -- [Anima Heart] Isolde has senses heightened than the average human, but equals to a wolf. Saying this it does not account for her strength and speed. The only sense that seems to be controllable to Isolde is her sight. She can increase it to see a great distance, but the price of doing so is deemed too much for (depending on depth and how long) when she returns to her regular vision she either has hurt/sensitive eyes to being temporarily blind. Everyday she attempts to learn to with stand it and have her eyes grow stronger, but has yet to master it. Along with her senses there is a certain balance to the forest that Isolde feels and something she can only call Whispers. Even though, words are never said there is a certain understanding of the forest Isolde knows. In her heart the forest is her home. When there is an imbalance Isolde begins to feel sick, hurt, and angry, like an animal backed into a corner. In this state even friends could be harmed. Age: 32 Appearance: Like autumn leaves her wavy hair flows with hues of red, brown, and yellow, usually tied back with leather strands and braids. Loose strands mostly cover the tips of her ears that have a slight point to them. Her eyes are at a usually a nut brown unless she uses her sight then they change to a cat eye yellow. Covered in layers Isolde has a muscular, pear shaped figure that is riddled with scars, to which even her face couldn't escape. Even though she may come across as cold and unfriendly she, more than anything, follows her heart. If she finds herself caring for you you will have someone trustworthy, loyal, and humble at your side while if you find yourself her enemy you will find a huntress - ready to strike, alert, and deathly quiet upon her approach. In the flaws of her personality may not seem obvious but are ever present. Isolde can be harsh, and impatient to state a couple. Skills: Archery, cleaning and skinning animal, bone whittling, hunting, survival, flute and embroidery Fears: Aquaphobia-- fear of water: though able to bath in small amount of water; the thought of being in water as deep as the waist. She freezes up and struggles to even move. Smaller fears that cross over Isolde is fear of lightening, and fire but neither is detrimental as water. Likes: Music is one of the best things to come from humans that Isolde enjoys. Quite often you can find her at a social gathering just to listen, when believed to be alone playing her flute, nature, and meditating Equiptment: bow, quiver of arrows, knife, short axe, pouch of herbs, pouch of jerky, leather pouch of water, and bone flute Biography: Not all stories end in love Rarely do they begin with it For Luna Gazer and, Avalon Grey love was never in the picture. She should have been scared. Fear should have been gripping her heart as it did moments ago, but it didn't. Not as his hand hung low letting the blood drip to the soil below him with one foot sinking deeper into the corpse he made. His breath heaved with a hunger not yet satisfied. Yet she couldn't muster up fear as her green eyes held his russet ones. Relief washed her reaching her heart and eyes as she mumbled a thank you. Her body shivered against the tears, the grief, and the emptiness left not realizing the man was hardly a man. He was entranced. He was hungry. And she, she was a calling for him. Her beauty unlike any other he has seen barely covered, touched with blood and filth. He wanted her. Control was embedded in him at a young age but as she seemed to glow he let that control drop. Taking her into his arms he gave her the one thing she needed. What she desired. Comfort. Luna and Avalon lost themselves to each other that day with only the trees as witness and corpses as company. It was a lost moment of time neither thought the consequences for and so, as it began with a kiss it ended on one as well. Each had their own path to take, their own lives to follow. Avalon with his forest and Luna with her family. 9 months later•☆.•*´¨`*•• Five months Five months ago did Luna come to terms with herself and began her search for the man in the forest. His strength and gentleness forever ringing in her mind knowing he would make a great protector, if not father. Her belly had grown as big as a watermelon making moving difficult. She couldn't give up. Not yet. As wild wolves breathed down her neck at every turn Luna couldn't find a break. Constantly moving, constantly hiding. This mother to be was at the end of her rope. Luna preservers convinced the man could save her child from an angry husband. As most things, the child's birth did not come at convenience for the mother nor the safety of the situation. She came tearing into her mother's side and back bringing her to the forest floor screaming in agony. Through sweat, through pain, through tears, and fear the child was born screaming into like with such strength her mother had hope for her child. The hope is quickly lost at the sound of howls. As she covered her baby in her dress and gave her a kiss Luna used the last of her will and strength to send the wolves away. She dreamed of returning to her daughter. To raise her. To brush her hair, teach her of music, and tradition. To tell her of love. To watch her find it and have children of her own. Nothing goes as we dream. Dreams are dreams because they are easy. To make a dream reality... it gets messy. A tragic life comes to a tragic end. Luna Gazer will never see her precious girl become a woman and Avalon Grey remains ignorant to the life of his child. ]|I{•------» Brief History «------•}I|[ A cry of hunger calls out to the wild of the forest begging to be tended. To be held. To be loved. A cry that no longer reaches her mother's ears. Laying in her mother's blood soaked dress buried safely inside the hollowed out part of a tree a stranger answers the baby's call. Scooping her into her arms, Iris Dawn steals away the baby to her home. A wife that loses her husband is a widow°・*:.。*:゚・♡ ・*☆¸¸.•*A girl that loses her parents, orphan But what do you call a mother that loses her child?・:*✿ p i t i f u l An answer to a prayer doesn't always come without consequences. Iris Dawn had begged the universe for another chance, another child of her own. Relentless was her hope that sent many in her life away, including her husband. When the time came and the crying child was found Iris didn't hesitate. Miracles surrounded the child not only testing her luck, but Iris' patience. Her eyes a dark brown so beautiful even nature couldn't match glimmers with magic and as the sun or the moon touched her eyes with a golden hue. With the cloth and the child's eyes Iris knew she was a half breed- one of southern blood. One that people looked down upon. In an attempt to save the child from future dangers Iris gave the girl a new name from her own and kept her as hidden as possible. To Iris, this child was still her daughter, but to the world she was her niece, Isolde Dawn. [Seasons passes and Isolde grew up with unbridled love. Her mama showered her in not only affection, but education of many forms. Etiquette, writing, reading, finances, embroidery, and everything a child would need to survive as a good woman. Isolde was grateful, and kind. Showing loving compassion for animals and nature. Just as the moon has two sides, so did Isolde. A rage constantly boiled in her stomach twisting with a hateful anger acting out every chance given. The smallest matter would spark the fire and things would be broken. Her strength, her speed, her agility went beyond what Iris could handle. Iris found herself at a loss worried she may have already lost another daughter when a stranger offered his assistance. Only known to Isolde as Uncle this man taught her the honor of the hunt. Discipline is grounded into her working her tirelessly through the days teaching her control. Then, one day, the rage was explained... One-two-three One-two-three-one. My body seemed to whisper the counts on its own. My muscles moving with memory of the steps done time and time again. My mind is able to nearly go a completely blank as I show Mama how far I've come. How far I can go. I wasn't even breaking a sweat when it came. The rage. It bites into my heart with a hot venom seering my veins. My legs falter. The music stops. My teeth grind against the next pulsation that stings my mind as I push to ignore Mama's words. Words that are unable to form myself as I give it no target to attack. My muscles tense and my eyes close as I feel the pressure build. It's not rage. It's something more. r u n A whisper of a desire calls me, but what? My body and brain aches with a heated torture bringing me to my knees. This time as Mama speaks I try to listen but as her words fade so do her presence. Barely an itch to the back of my mind I hear something else. I feel something calling to me. run Pain clenches my spine twisting and pulling like a brat with a toy. Snaps of twigs are heard and pain swallows me choking out every ounce of breath from me. It pulls on my limbs, my jaw; taking every fiber and thread of my being and shredding it. It hurts. It hurts. It H U R T S! Hot tears flood my cheeks when finally Mama is felt. Her warmth against my melting flesh feels like a cool heaven. I gaze to her terrified. I plea for mercy. For her to help me. "What's wrong with me?" My final cry comes out distorted and foreign so unlike my own it scares me. I scream as another wave rolls over me turning me every which way. No longer can I fight the pain. I succumb. When it stretches I reach, when it pushes in I pull. I follow the steps of the painful dance until quickly it accepts me as I accepted it. Open arms, a surge of bliss fills my stomach and soars. My body so light and heavy changes in chaos and control. A feeling so euphoric my head tilts back and I cry out. I howl. A long, deep howl that shakes the glass around us and satisfies my heart. Looking to Mama I huff with a tiresome joy and confusion matching her horror. Worried I step to her when she steps back. I freeze wondering why. Needing to ask her but it calls. R U N I know this voice. This feeling it has called me for as long as I could remember but over the years I learned to ignore it. Taking a chance, this one time, I follow the voice. The call to my soul and leave Mama behind even as she screams my name. I reach the forest with ease moving swiftly between the trees, over the ground, and through the air. It was like I was flying. Like a bird in the sky, the forest I belonged. My feet wouldn't stop until I reached water. At the edge of it stood Uncle. At first I hesitate. Afraid of seeing him fear me as Mama did. But as see his brown eyes: I see understanding. Going to him, confiding in him, truth is revealed. Uncle's name is Avalon. A man that knew my true mother. A man that vowed to protect me. With a whole side of me I didn't know I abandon the mother that never abandoned me to find it. Years pass days blur and wisdom comes. My heart aches for the only mother I knew. The only mother I had. My home. Leaving the forest behind I find Mama waiting for me. She was always waiting for me. Age reached her leaving me grateful that I wasn't too late. Giving me one final gift before death whisked her away Mama finally gave me answers. Within a box she kept was a dress stained in something I've learned to be blood. The smell of the blood unique and not like others I take a closer look at the dress and realize it is Southern cloth. Following my lead, finding the only family I have left I search for my mother. As quickly as my candle of hope was lit it was blown out. She had disappeared - presumed dead - leaving behind a loving family that held memories of her. Shattered my heart fell to my stomach as rocks bleeding from my eyes as salty water. I make a promise. Never will I allow such innocence to be killed. I will fight for those that can not. Time passes quickly but my view never forgotten. Taking my teachings and experience I become scavenger, hunter, tracker, avenger. The Forest is as familiar as the back of my hand. Every piece becoming my territory. Every part my jurisdiction. Through my strength the ones I find guilty never reach the treeline again. The ones I save. The ones that barely remember have me dubbed as The Keeper of the Forest. I find work in selling the meat I hunt, guiding travelers through, and housing ones that have been hurt. With gifts my Northern Mama gave me I work to hold a balance.
