Bonjour! Welcome to my interest check!

I have a specific premise that I'd like to try right now, so go on and take a gander! The idea is not very fleshed out as of yet, the title pretty much says it all, lol. This could be MxM or MxF. I'm sort of craving MxM at the moment though :O

- My style is novel-ish, and my post length can vary from a few paragraphs to a couple of pages, depending on the flow and what you give back. I rarely post less then 4-5 paragraphs. :)

- Also, I'm big on OOC chat. I'd prefer to chat as often as we reply IC, or even more frequently. I'd like to plot and get all excited with you and geek out over the story!

- If we're keeping up an OOC chat, I'll tell you if I'm having trouble responding or losing interest. If you don't keep up with me OOC, I might say something if I'm struggling, but it's awkward if we don't have rapport. Talk with me OOC, PLEASE?!?!?! :'D

- I want lots of drama between the characters, and prefer darker themes and elements.

- I play male characters, but I'm open to pairing with any gender.

- Please send a writing sample when you PM, so that we can tell if our writing styles will mesh! It's so disappointing to plot and get hype, only for the fledgling RP to die if our writing styles aren't a good fit. I'll provide a writing sample in return, if you want, just let me know!

On to the good part!

[hider= Basic Premise]

YC is a noble, man or woman, in the Regency or Victorian era. An invalid, they are often housebound, and spend a lot of time outdoors to benefit their health. The family is extravagantly wealthy and are famed for the lavish gardens on both their country and city estates.

MC is the newly-hired groundskeeper and master gardener, who comes to the estate after the old groundskeeper retires. He's a fairly quiet man of gruff words and calloused but gentle hands. Having grown up in a workhouse, he's used to a hard life, and has worked hard to get to where he is now. Given his history and position, I'm imagining him to be in his forties. (I'm prone to age gaps, lol. If you really want me to age him down, I could make him an apprentice.)

Both our characters are married, which presents as many problems as their class difference does as the two bond over their love of the gardens. YC does as much gardening as they can, but they require MC's help a lot of the time due to their condition. Forced proximity leads to attraction, and eventually, deeper feelings than that.

What we do from there is up to us! Obviously YC's illness will be a source of drama. I was thinking there could be some drama with YC being called away to town, or having to visit the seaside to recover from a particularly bad bout of illness. YC tries to contrive ways to have MC come with them without rousing suspicion. It could also be interesting if one or both of our characters had a relatively happy marriage, thereby complicating things even more.

I'm sure we can come up with more drama between the two of us-- this is just the basic idea!
