Our 17-year old refrigerator stopped working in October. Later that month, my wife and I bought a new one with a delivery date set for 1/9. When the delivery arrived, the men said they could not get it through the door. The kitchen has a glass sliding door. I was terrified about the prospect of having to take the door(s) off myself. I typically fail at such undertakings. They left the fridge in the garage and I called for a service call on 1/14 to bring the fridge in the house on that date. with the sliding glass door open, there was 32" of opening. The fridge required 32 - 1/2". On Wednesday, I spent one hour learning how to remove the door(s), both the sliding part and the fixed part. At 10:24 AM on Thursday, 1/14, the delivery driver called, stating he would arrive in one half hour. By 10:30, I had both the doors removed from the opening. By 11AM, the refrigerator was in the house and by 11:10, I had the doors back in place working properly.
