[sup]Sunshine personified, everything about Lucy is sunny. From her golden blonde hair to her sky blue eyes, Lucy encapsulates a beautiful day outside. Because Lucy loves spending time outside, her skin is tan, and her muscles are toned from volleyball. Unfortunately, Lucy is rather short and stands at 5’3”, something that is a sore spot for Lucy. The feature Lucy loves most, though, is her large smile and she has been complimented for “lighting up the room” with it. Of course, this compliment mostly comes from her mom.[/sup]

[sup]Lucy is well known for her hyperactive and cheerful personality. She has the kind of smile that lights up the room. However, with that, she’s also known for her single-minded obsession with volleyball and is often seen as quite dumb as her grades suffer because of it. Lucy does everything in extremes and wears her heart on her sleeves, something everyone notices. She’s been known to get in fights because of her hot-headedness and excitability, but she’s also quick to forgive and forget. Overall, Lucy is rather sociable and can safely say she is friends with a lot of the school.[/sup][/cell][/row]

[sup]Unlike some of her peers, Lucy Samson is not rich or affluent. Fuck, she’s not even smart enough to get a scholarship. Lucy is a simple girl from a small family of three – her mom, her little sister, and hers truly. They lived in a small home in Wales on a small mountain; Lucy had to bike up and down the incline every day for school. The Samsons struggled with finances, it happens when you are supporting three on a single income. 

As a child, Lucy didn’t have many passions – she dipped her toes in everything and never found anything that stuck. That is, until at the age of thirteen she saw a live volleyball game and decided to dedicate all her energy into the sport. Unfortunately, her school was too small to have a volleyball team and instead she spent her time benchwarming soccer games while watching volleyball clips on her phone. 

Lucy never gave up on her dream of playing volleyball, was never close to giving up on her dream, but she was beginning to resign herself to a volleyball-less academic experience when luck struck. Well, more accurately, Ms. Luckamore struck…as in, physically, with a car. Ms. Luckamore was an American woman on vacation in Wales and not accustomed to driving on the left side of the road and Lucy’s mom has poor reaction time in crises. Like a volleyball angel bursting into her life, Ms. Luckamore slammed into their car. No one was hurt, but the car was damaged beyond repair and, well, Ms. Luckamore couldn’t actually [i]legally[/i] drive in Wales. Dazed and confused, Lucy’s mom could only accept it when Ms. Luckamore began invading their life with riches and pleas, buying the family’s silence (even when Lucy’s mother profusely swore she would never tell anyone). After learning of Lucy’s passion for volleyball, Ms. Luckamore offered to pay for Lucy to go to an esteemed academy in America with an impressive volleyball team. 

It’s her junior year and her second year of attending Marble Heights Academy. It’s also Lucy’s mom and Ms. Luckamore’s six month anniversary.
