[Science building] After spending some time indulging in her nostalgia with the snow and perhaps making a new acquaintance named Mel, the doe found her way abandoning her childish activity as she heard a soft melody beeping on her phone. Digging her phone out of her beige peacoat pocket, her phone had a pixelated picture of her favorite soccer player, Bark Noble and the words: [Aquatic Anatomy & Physiology]. Switching her alarm and replacing the device in her pocket, she stood up straight and headed dutifully to class. Although this was one of the harder subjects of the day, she couldn't help but find a keen interest considering she had rarely seen any Aquatic members in the University. Having aced her previous Anatomy & Physiology of the Mammalia and Reptilia classes and--barely scraping a B in the Aves class, she was learning more with the mysterious Aquatic. From the Agnatha to Osteichthyes, it was hard for her to maintain all the new information. Keeping herself as close to the edge of the science building as possible, her ears were perked and her eyes were straight. Her ears couldn't help but move toward the conversations of other animals around her, it was a habit. "An F, that professors a real fu-" "So we were at the Wolf Pack last night, you'll never guess-" "And he told me that my behind look like a hippo's, why was he surprised when I threw my wine at him? I-" "Gracie!" The doe halted in her tracks, she had no time for chit-chat, her class was merely feet away from her. She looked down to her obstacle. "Oh, hi Yarely." She smiled kindly toward the vienna blue rabbit who was sporting the University's soccer jersey. "You're playing tonight right? I'm sorry-I don't know if I can make it this time. I have to cram so much studying and with that on top of my track team.." "No worries! I just wanted to say hey, you've been really aloof and hard to reach..well more than usual that is, everything okay?" "Yes, as I said I'm just busy." Gracie eyed the classroom, trying to give her friend a hint. "I promise after exams I'll be more available and watch you play again. You know I can't miss it for the world. A small rabbit like you being able to be a goal keeper? It's incredible to watch." "You going to watch West Hog this weekend? I don't mind joining you, but our usual spot has been taken over..Let's think of a new place to watch!" Yarely grinned, knowing that bringing up Gracie's favorite soccer team will force her to socialize. "Of course! Let's brainstorm and text each other," She looked at her phone, "Ah! Sorry Yarely-gotta run!!" The deer quickly ran toward her class, almost knocking over a small mongoose, "Sorry!!" -------------- [Library Kiosk] After a grueling lecture the doe let out a yawn before heading over to the Library, the kiosk where she worked was there. They sold homemade bakery goods and coffee as well as sandwiches for all diets. Clocking in she greeted her co-worker, "Good morning, Bea!" She smiled, "Let's feed some hungry animals!" The peacock glanced at her and nodded, as was routine. She quickly walked to the back away from the register, happy with how she left her station, clean and organized. Taking out a variety of colorful vegetables from the walk-in fridge and taking out a sharpened knife, she started to prep for the busy afternoon with a smile on her face. Cooking was very soothing for her as feeding others was the way she knew how to make others happy. Seeing others from the corner of her station, almost hidden away, and observing their smiles as they ate her croissants, fresh hot cross-buns, salads, and sandwiches overfilled her with joy.
