[sup] Calliope gets her height (5'7") from her father and her slim frame from her mother. She has girlish features that give her a rather serene and youthful look at rest rather than bitchy as some might say. She's been groomed about making good first impressions and keeps herself in a presentable state no matter where she's going, but doesn't spend [i]too[/i] much time primping. She has overall ethereal appearance, bright eyes, full lips and silky hair that cascades to her mid-back.

Calliope is most fond of Korean fashion trends and carries a lot of the styling choices over despite being removed from Korean culture many years ago. She tries to stick to neutral colors but you can find a few colorful pieces in her wardrobe. She doesn't change up the school uniform much at all, except shortening the length of the pleated skirt.

[sup]Cold. Calliope is not someone who is surrounded by friends and doesn't make much of an effort to get to know people. She's a pretty girl to look at, and an excellent student to have in class. That icy exterior cracks only in the rare case that she's under the shade of a tree with a book in hand, tending to the flowers and plants in the greenhouse or while stringing jumps and flips on the routine floor during competitions.

Calliope was born in the affluent neighborhood of Gang-Nam in South Korea. As the youngest daughter of Cassian Lee, she was doted on by her mother and paternal grandparents who spoiled both of their grandchildren. The new addition of two young children brought the family together into a tight unit. Cassian was a representative for Korea's national team for the Olympics and won his final gold medals while the children were toddlers. This also was the time Millie-Jean experienced her first struggle with postpartum depression and a particularly tough fought battle had landed her in a hospital. This reignited the persistent tension between Cassian and his parents as they were once again averse to his choice of a life partner.

Things particularly kicked off when Cassian's parents threatened to take custody of Valentine and Calliope. Keeping the children in their large estate for a week and a half and demanding proof that Millie-Jean was fit to mother their grandchildren. Things calmed enough for Cal and Val to return to their home without being subject to lasting memories of this occurrence but it was enough for Cassian to return to the states, this time bringing the family to the sunny and bustling city of Los Angeles, and the young kids were eager to explore this new place.

[color=99B9B2] 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲-𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥[/color]
Calliope adjusted to America slowly, she was often much shyer and more reserved than her brother. Opting to hide behind him whenever they were thrust into social situations at school. For awhile, things seemed to be smooth sailing. Even with Cassian spending part-time in Seoul and Part-time in Los Angeles, the family had a more supportive community in LA that eased that initial missing father figure. Calliope spent her years following around Val and stealing a spot at the Delamar family dinner table on Friday nights. 

The illusion of peace crumbled when the kid's nanny pulled them out of school one day and rushed them to the hospital. This time, seeing their mother peacefully resting in a white gown in a hospital bed had imprinted itself in Calliope's mind, and hearing the gentleness and pain in her father's tired voice when he showed up that night had imprinted in her heart.

By Freshman year Calli had made a name for herself in gymnastics, turning to the sport as a means of escape from the 'craziness' that had become the norm for her home life. Really, it wasn't that crazy, but she just couldn't stand stepping into a hospital again, and the thought made her sick to her stomach. At the end of Freshman year, her father had returned, as was also the norm now, and the family resumed as if the past 14 years hadn't occurred.

But Calli had been harboring her anger, on behalf of Val as she insisted, for too long, and what better way to get it off her chest than during a "nice" family dinner. That she did, holding no bars, explaining her exasperation with her part-time father, how she was worried and fearful about whether she'd wake up the next day and have a mother or not, and how her brother had to step up for both of them. By the end, everyone had been stunned silent and the rest of the summer was awkward at best, so good thing when she requested to go to Marble Heights Cassian and Millie both agreed. 

Despite trying to keep to herself as much as possible Sophomore year she let her eyes [s]and heart[/s] wander a little too far but ran away as quickly as possible to South Korea for the summer... hopefully they forgot about her by now?

[sup] Behind the worries that plague her and the resentment she holds towards her parents she's a dreamer, a girl that's seen how her father loves her mother despite her shortcomings and wishes for that kind of unconditional love for herself. Calli struggles with dreaming too big and chasing all those dreams and stretching herself too thin, but she'll be damned if she gives up on herself. 

Despite how quickly she is to shut people out and evade growing affections she deeply desires close friendship and falling in love. She's sensitive, romantic and would give her left lung to someone who needed it more than she did.
