This RP being set in the middle of the Cold War is so perfect. It only has been twenty-three years since the end of the Second World War. That presents me with the opportunity to have Diana reunite with her friends and enemies during the war. While finally playing around with the Greek mythology that I usually avoid because of realism. And of course, she will have plenty of time to be Wonder Woman in an ever-changing world. I have to apologize for the long background on Diana. I got carried away. Hopefully, you are able to tolerate the rough timeline that I made as a TL;DR. And apologize for not finishing both of them, I promised to post today and so I am doing that. Plus, I am waiting for other sheets so I don't bother to make too many adjustments (writing the code for this post is annoying as hell). Hopefully, once it's completely done, you will enjoy reading my sheet completely.

Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, sculpted a baby girl out of clay from the shore and began pleading to the Olympians to bring it to life. Sympathetic to Hippolyta's request, Zeus (the King of Olympus) brought consciousness to the clay statue with his thunder while the other Olympians granted the newborn the gifts of great strength (Demeter), wisdom and courage (Athena), a hunter's heart and a communion with animals (Artemis), beauty and loving heart (Aphrodite), sisterhood with fire (Hestia), speed and the ability of flight (Hermes), the lungs of a hippokampos (Poseidon), a toxophilite's sight and arms (Apollo), the mind of a hardened general (Ares), hands of an artisan (Hephaestus), and the sense of liberation along with her blood turning into wine (Dionysus). Then, she was given the name of Diana. Princess Diana grew up surrounded by a legion of sisters and mothers, who all treated her like a daughter, on the island of Themyscira. One of them was General Antiope, who began mentoring her into becoming part of the Amazons. Antiope and her right arm, General Philippus, immediately noticed how powerful and skilled Diana was in combat. When they brought their praises to Hippolyta, she silenced and told them to train her daughter harder than anyone else until she was better than them. Then, she ordered them to never speak to her about Diana's training ever again. Hippolyta remained protective of her daughter even as she matured into adulthood. But then, an unexpected visitor crashlanded near Themyscira and was saved from drowning by Princess Diana. The outsider was brought to the infirmary to treat his wounds and then to the throne room for questioning. Queen Hippolyta used the Lasso of Hestia, a golden lariat that forced anyone captured within it to tell the truth, to get her answers. The stranger revealed himself as Captain Steve Trevor of the Royal Flying Corps, who was trying to flee after the failed invasion of Gallipoli. Then, he talked about the Great War and how it became a stalemate between both sides. Feeling compelled to help Man's World out of the terrible war, Diana pleaded with her mother to help them. Hippolyta told her no and then forbade her from talking about it. So, in the act of defiance, Diana snuck into the island's armory and stole the Themysciran sword, the Lasso of Hestia, the Bracelets of Submission, and Amazonian battle armor. And then, she found Steve and told him she was going to help him. But while attempting to sneak to the docks, both of them were caught by Queen Hippolyta and the Amazons. She tried to talk her daughter out of leaving, but Diana remained adamant that she was going to help Man's World. That was when mother and daughter challenged each other in combat. Using everything she learned from her childhood, Diana managed to overwhelm Hippolyta and won the challenge. Hippolyta warned that leaving the island meant banishment for life, but she knew that it wouldn't change her daughter's mind. Hence, she gave Diana her tiara and then bid her farewell. General Antiope was also there to say her goodbyes and gave her student her personal bow. While General Philippus gifted her own shield from protection before bidding her friend farewell. Then, Diana and Steve departed Themyscira and sailed for Europe, specifically France. Once there, the Amazonian was amazed by what Man's World offered and began exploring the port city of Nice. Then, she learned about the Western Front and immediately marched towards it to end the Great War. Diana arrived at a French village that the German army started burning while villagers were caught in the chaos. Despite Steve's warnings, she leaped into action and saved a family trapped inside a burning building. When German soldiers saw her and the family, they opened fire without warning and hesitation; but, they were petrified when Diana blocked all of the bullets with her bracelets. Steve Trevor watched in amazement as she dealt with hostiles in a matter of seconds. The survivors retreated from the village without successfully destroying it. Days later, Allied Intelligence learned of the encounter and decided to send a group to investigate the rumor. The group met up with Captain Steve Trevor and his friend, Diana Prince, who was more eager to leave for the frontline. Sensing an opportunity, Charlie McKenna brought them to the trenches of Fromelles, where British intel feared the Germans were planning to strike. And their fears were right when heavy artillery bombardment began in the afternoon. Within seconds, Diana went on the defensive and began blocking the shells with her shield. Then, she started her counterattack against an incoming German regiment and overwhelmed them with ease. Charlie was astonished by what he witnessed on the day and immediately brought Diana to his superiors for analysis. In London, there doubt amongst generals and commanders whether it was a good idea to send a woman into the fight or not. Diana interrupted the debate and made herself clear that she was going to stop the Great War with or without their support. So, with that in mind, the British military created a separate task force to take down high ranking officers from the Central Powers while disrupting chemical weapons production. During the course of the war, the task force made successful raids across Germany and Austria-Hungary. On one of their raids, they managed to capture the infamous Doctor Poison (a nickname from Doctor Isabel Maru), a toxicologist responsible for creating chemical weapons for the German military. That arrest caught the attention of the press within Allied countries—primarily Britain and France. It was when they began referring to her as Wonder Woman. Two years after Diana's arrival to Man's World, the Great War ended with the Armistice of Compiègne and then the Treaty of Versailles. With the task force disbanded and newfound peace, Diana didn't know what to do once the Great War ended. Thankfully, she wasn't alone. Steve Trevor and the task force members made efforts to ensure that she felt comfortable at her new home. They traveled across Europe while helping the citizens rebuild badly damaged communities along the Western Front. Her deeds made her beloved by Flanders' people, who welcomed her into their homes with open arms. Throughout the Interwar Period, Diana became somewhat accustomed to Man's World while gaining a foothold in politics. Especially when Hitler was appointed Chancellor of the German Reich and began his campaign against the Jewish population. From 1933 to 1938, she heavily criticized German leadership while defending the innocent from the authorities' beatings. And when the Nuremberg Laws were enacted, Wonder Woman began publicly helping them flee the country for fear of their safety. However, her efforts were ceased when she was barred from setting foot on German soil because of the Munich Agreement. It caused her to feel angry while most of Europe celebrated it, which included Steve Trevor, believing that peace prevailed. Sadly, they were wrong. When the German Reich took over Czechoslovakia, violating the Munich Agreement, Britain and France realized that peace had failed and began preparing for war. The task force was assembled once more to protect the Allied countries from German aggression. And then, the invasion of Poland took place seven months after the task force's formation. Wonder Woman got prepared to assist the Polish army against the aggressive German offensive. Instead, Allied Command told her that she and her squad had to remain at the Western Front. She planned on disobeying orders until Steve calmed her down and convinced her to listen. So, she did. And she hated herself for giving up so easily. In fact, the Maginot Line remained largely undisturbed while the enemy conquered Scandinavian until nine months later. A German man, wearing an armored suit, began calling for Wonder Woman to challenge him in combat. Referring to himself as Roter Panzer (German: Red Tank), Helmut Streicher proclaimed himself to be the Third Reich's answer to Wonder Woman. Diana accepted the request thinking another victory was within grasp. However, she underestimated him. Equipped with an arm cannon, capable of releasing concussive blasts, and a nearly indestructible armor, Helmut gave her a fight that proved to be a struggle for the first time on Man's World. Yet, Diana was able to overwhelm Roter Panzer and damage his armor significant enough to deactivate the arm cannon. While the German army fell back to their Siegfried Line without their hero, their celebration was cut short when they realized the attack was a distraction from the real German army to invade the Low Countries. Realizing they only had weeks until the Nazis reached Paris, British Command ordered all Allied forces to withdrawal to Dunkirk for an evacuation. Wonder Woman and her squad were ordered to safeguard Helmut from questioning. But then, German forces surrounded Dunkirk and started advancing towards the beach. In the chaos, Roter Panzer managed to free himself and killed Charlie when his arm cannon reactivated. Diana tried to get revenge, but he was saved by a German regiment, and the squad was forced to retreat. But there was enough time to grab Charlie's body. On the first full day of the evacuation, Diana managed to get a boat for Charlie and her remaining squad and then volunteer to stay behind and help out at the perimeter. Steve attempted to stay with her before being restrained by her request. Wonder Woman felt relieved to watch the British destroyer departing the harbor, knowing that her friends were safe. Then, she returned to the fight. The evacuation took eight more days before it finally ended, but it was the most traumatic experience in her life, equating it to spending eternity in Tartarus. Even years after the Miracle of Dunkirk, she still refused to talk about some days because they were too painful to remember. After the operation was deemed complete, the unconscious body of Wonder Woman was washed up on the shores of Dover. Upon the discovery, witnesses rushed her to the nearest hospital, where she went into surgery to remove the bullets. The procedure took hours because there were so many inside that they thought she wasn't going to survive the day. Fortunately, she did and began her recovery. Though her wounds healed and her strength returned, there were still so many scars—physical and mental—that doctor recommended Wonder Woman to remain away from the fighting. However, knowing that so many people depended on her, she didn't listen to them and went back to service after nearly two months in the hospital. Upon reuniting with the task force, Diana was notified that France surrendered to the Riech after Paris had fallen. But instead of going on the offense, her task force was reduced to a defensive role as the Luftwaffe began bombing raids on British cities and industries. It was renamed Wonder Men to boost the morale of civilians and helped bombing shelters in affected cities. Wonder Woman, meanwhile, joined the Air Raid Precautions and was heavily involved in rescue services. And whenever she wasn't helping out the ARP, Diana took to the skies with the Royal Air Force to fight the Luftwaffe. She and the task force did that for eight months until the Germans started reducing bombing raids. That was when they were given new orders to help out the Allied forces defending Tobruk from Axis forces, who had the port city under siege. One day, Polish scouts reported to Diana that Roter Panzer was spotted in Tripoli awaiting orders from General Erwin Rommel. She knew that it was the perfect opportunity to avenge the murder of her friend, Charlie. But, to prevent more losses on her side, Diana told nobody from Wonder Women about it and departed Tobruk during night time. When she got near the area where Helmut was spotted, the place appeared to be deserted, and she realized that it was a trap. It was where she met Gundra, the Third Reich's Wonder Woman. Gundra proclaimed to be a Valkyrie sent to serve the Fatherland by Odin himself, while the Führer declared Wonder Woman to be a direct threat to the German people. So, a fight ensured. And to Diana's surprise, Gundra was strong and knew how to use a spear; but, she wasn't quick enough to dodge a slice wound. However, the Valkyrie managed to stab the spear into Diana's shoulder. Both of them were too injured to finish each other off, and Wonder Woman was forced to retreat when Roter Panzer arrived with reinforcements. Steve was waiting for her when she came back to Tobruk and tried to get the reason for her disappearance; however, she didn't provide an answer to his question. Suddenly, the Empire of Japan launched an attack on Hawaii, practically dragging the United States into the war. That caused America to join the Allies and began preparations to send their troops over to Europe. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman and the task force were pulled out of Tobruk and sent to Southeast Asia to protect British Singapore, but the Japanese navy and army proved overwhelming for them and Allied troops stationed there. So when they started their invasion of the Philippines, the United States ordered General Douglas MacArthur to leave for Australia. Diana and her task force were assigned to protect him from any threats presented by the Japanese. But, they weren't expecting an assassin to be in their presence. The assassin transformed into an Asian black bear and lunged toward MacArthur. Sameer was able to shove the American out of harm's way, but he was torn apart by the assassin. Wonder Woman instantly knocked him unconscious with a single punch that sent him flying. Then, she went over to her friend and knew that he was gone. With Japanese forces on their way, there was only enough to pick up Sameer's body and board the ship. Later, thanks to American intelligence, Diana learned that the assassin was Thomas Morita, a Japanese-American who defected to Japan. Before she had the chance to mourn, Diana was introduced to the All-Star Squadron, the group of superheroes personally selected by President Roosevelt. The squad leaders met with her to discuss the possibility of having Wonder Woman in the squadron. She accepted on the condition that Wonder Men remained out of the All-Star business because she didn't want to bury any more of her friends. This decision angered Steve and the other members, but she didn't have time to explain herself since Allied forces requested their presence. Wonder Woman and her task force participated in the invasion of Sicily but didn't know that Gundra was sent by the Riech to assist the Italian forces. The Valkyrie saw that the Wonder Men were all alone while Wonder Woman dealt with the coastal defenses around the island. So, she struck. Steve Trevor was knocked unconscious while Chief received a fatal blow by the spear. However, in his last moment, he managed to critically wound Gundra with his rifle and forced her to retreat. It took an hour before Diana found her task force beaten and Chief dead. Once the island was secured, she began searching for Gundra but only found a note that said she was taken back to Berlin for treatment. Diana barely had any time to mourn her friend's death because of Operation Overlord. Allied command sent her and Steve over to occupied France to group with Captain America and his sidekick, Bucky. After meeting up, they made their way towards the city of Le Mans and found the resistance cell. It didn't take long to be introduced to Sylvia Halphen and for Steve to get her attention. The two of them became close for the few days they were working together. And while they were alone, they had a one-night stand at the headquarters; during the night, Sylvia revealed that she was a German spy named Paula von Gunther, who killed the real Sylvia Halphen. Then, she slit his throat—ear to ear—and watched him bleed to death. While she was taking a bath (to wash away the blood), Paula didn't realize that Wonder Woman and Captain America (along with Bucky) came back earlier than expected. Diana searched for Steve until she found him tied up on the bed with his throat slit. She said nothing, noticed the bathroom door opened slightly, and pulled out her sword from the scabbard. In an instant, she opened the door and beheaded the murderer. Paula didn't have time to react or even noticed that Diana was back. In fact, Captain America and Bucky didn't notice what happened until they heard Diana screaming in pain. Things went downhill since that night. Captain America and Bucky went missing while fighting Red Skull somewhere in the North Atlantic Ocean. Wonder Woman spent three days searching for them but was told by the British military to come back. For her efforts in the war and in Dunkirk, Diana was awarded the Victoria Cross and paraded around London on Victory in Europe Day. She didn't feel like celebrating after losing all of her friends, including Steve. The Wonder Men were celebrated and buried together at Brookwood Cemetery. On that day, the coffins of her friends were the heaviest thing Wonder Woman ever carried. Then, she attended funeral services for Captain America and Bucky. It was where she met and befriended Peggy Carter. Diana was then sent to Allied-occupied Germany to maintain order, denazify the country, and hunt down anyone responsible for the Holocaust. She spent months there while the war with the Empire of Japan was coming to an end. Then, one day, Diana nearly fainted and didn't know why until she heard what happened to Hiroshima. Without hesitation, Wonder Woman departed and headed straight from the city. When she got there, it was in ruins like she hasn't seen in her life on Man's World. Entire blocks were leveled as the survivors desperately called out for help. Then, she went deeper into the epicenter of the devastation and saw the dead bodies of a family. Diana broke down on the spot. She spent the entire night escorting the survivors to the two hospitals that remained standing and helping the medical staff out. Wonder Woman wanted to know who was responsible for this horrific attack on civilians. It wasn't until the following day that she learned, for a leaflet, that the United States was responsible. Wonder Woman flew to America for answers, but the All-Stars stopped her. The squadron managed to convince her to calm down and rest so they could talk about recent events. The next day, however, Diana was awakened and warned that a second atomic bomb was going to be dropped. Wonder Woman left to go look for the bomb and make sure it was never used again. But waiting for her was the All-Star Squadron. They warned her to not interfere with the mission, but Diana refused to listen and chased after the B-29 bomber. The members responded by attempting to restrain her as their last resort. However, she soon broke free of their gasp and resumed chasing after it. With the option for peace gone, the remaining members of All-Stars were called upon to deal with Wonder Woman. After a half-hour of fighting, Diana didn't manage to stop the atomic bomb and watched in horror as Nagasaki was bombed. With no more reason to fight, Wonder Woman surrendered to the All-Stars. Yet, Diana was released and allowed to help the people of Nagasaki and Hiroshima as long as she didn't mention the incident to anyone else. And that's what she did, avoiding calls from the British military for months. Then, Starman returned with an invitation to join the Justice Society of America as their ambassador to the United Nations. Diana hesitated for a second but accepted his offer, believing that it was a way for her to maintain peace. Once she was done in Japan, Diana returned to Europe and began helping with reconstruction efforts across Europe while representing the JSA at the United Nations. She helped fight the Injustice Society whenever they were a threat to the world. Then, despite her efforts in saving Washington D.C. from Ultra-Humanite, Wonder Woman was branded as a communist sympathizer during the height of the Red Scare. It made her the first superhero to be branded by the American government. While some members started to treat her differently, Diana remained as their ambassador for some time. And then, the Vietnam War began. Diana condemned it, stating that America was actively avoiding the struggles of its poor by going to war. It caused the American ambassador to the United Kingdom to call her a communist sympathizer. Wonder Woman began to call for the disarmament of nuclear weapons, realizing how close the world came to an end during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In spite of pressure from the United States, Diana chose to remain the JSA's ambassador for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, she became interested in archaeology after Themiscyra was discovered in Turkey. Using her vast wealth, Diana brought the recently discovered ancient town for herself to learn more about the Amazons. She considered turning it into her home because of how similar it was to Themyscira. Wonder Woman kept on traveling to Vietnam War, protecting civilians from American troops. And even participated in the Civil Rights movement, protecting Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X from harm. Even as Man's World was still changing, Wonder Woman never gave up on it and its people—for better or worse.

Key Notes

Julia Kapatelis - A brilliant archaeologist that's helping Wonder Woman out with the ancient town of Themyscira.
