Map Key
Hexagons are 250m. Hex Colours: Green means Open Ground. Can be traversed by anything.
Light Green with text indicates higher ground, which provides a better view of surrounding areas. Orange lines indicate which way they face and directions they provide better view -and firing position- towards
Grey is urban area. It provides great concealment and defensive positions, and ranges inside are short. There is, of course, a street network that is not represented on the hex map. Deep Green is dense forest. Like urban areas, they are excellent places to hide in. Blue is impassable water. The river may be less than 250m wide. Roads When two lines run parallel, they may in reality be less than 250m apart. Orange are paved roads. Sand are unpaved roads. Black are railroads. Edges - Look closely! :) Orange edges are quasi-height lines. They indicate where the slopes of light green hills face. 'Forest' lines are treelines that obscure vision beyond it, unless a dominant height is occupied. 'Water' lines indicate a shallow river that a brave non-amphibious vehicle could attempt to driver across, or infantry can swim across. Buildings Mostly decorative to indicate the rough shape of villages and the type of buildings there. Small, dacha-like wooden houses are most common. Gray buildings indidcate apartment blocks, industrial areas, railway stations, etc. Of course, they are not to scale.
