An exorcist is definitely a niche profession that exists and can be occupied by both traditionally gifted magic users or enhanced humans. It depends how you’d like to work the narrative and what sort of enhancement(s) the character opted in for. I’m also down for discussing gray areas not explicitly covered in the general info such as a magically gifted character, but only barely just, who decides to forego the low odds of his magic improving on its own and just takes a shady enhancement offer or whatever. There’s some minor magical rejection between their natural magic and the enhancement core, so you get all that angst in the backdrop, too. And that’s just one way to go about it.
